Goodbye privacy. ISP's may soon be able to sell all your browsing information to companies.

Oh no~

Everyone will know I'm such a perverted sissy boi

Damn I'm about to get some WEIRD ads

WatchDogs 2 eat your heart out oy

>tfw I'll get ads for the Daily Stormer

Think about this just for a second.
>PewDiePie loses contracts and partnerships because of a silly joke
>JonTron loses voice acting in upcoming game
>People have ads cut because of right wing views
When employers and others can see what you've been browsing, Sup Forums, right wing youtubers, etc they can do whatever they want to you. Companies like CTR or shill companies can gain power over you. So much more. This is really really bad. People don't seem to understand how bad this is.

>tfw everyone who browses Sup Forums will now get the best deals on firearms, whey protein, rope and ammo purchased via the internet for dotr

I have known this site for longer than I can remember but I always read it as arsetechnica

BRING IT ON

On one hand this is terrible and awful and goes against everything I believe about privacy

On the other hand I'll just use a VPN that isn't based in the US, like Mullvad

I feel strongly about this but in reality I'll just enable VPN and move on. Feels weird knowing I even have to do that now

This most likely

Is there any VPN that lets you post on Sup Forums? Every proxy and VPN I've used is permabanned.

Why is the vote split on party lines?

If Trump doesn't veto, is this proof he's a shill?

Sucks

what's stopping the vpn from selling your info? use TOR

Something to hide fags

B T F O
T

O

Isn't TOR like monitored as fuck now? Or so I've heard, anyway

>If Trump doesn't veto, is this proof he's a shill?
AHAHAHAHAHA
AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>If Trump doesn't veto, is this proof he's a shill?

But Trump supports selling out the internet. He's anti-net neutrality. He's for corporate control and shitty fractured services making the internet into cable.

Just another reason to laugh at your
>first world
nation.

Enjoy those dialup speeds.

Enjoy shelling out 200 dollars a month for a premium package that lets you visit sites other than Google and Facebook.

If you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to hide.

i do not know nor do i possess the skill or time to audit TOR's codebase. but it's still better than a VPN

So now where going to have the Internet statsi, when did personnel freedom of privacy behind closed doors get taken away?

...

No. You idiots are just parroting what you hear on Plebbit and TV.

All this does is shift the regulation of internet ISPs to the FTC away from the FCC. Nigger Obama allowed the regulation to be done by the FCC which has the explicit authority to censor communicated information as they are literally in charge of just that.

TOR is compromised as fuck. You only have to control around 30% of all end nodes to unmask 95% of the traffic.

Who in their right minds would operate an exit node anyway? Alphabet boys, that's who.

>he thinks all the bought and paid for Republicans truly care about censorship via the FCC
>whether the FTC or the FCC protects consumer privacy
>whether consumers have privacy to begin with
What sugary liquid flows as a river in your wonderful daydream realm, user? Honey? Hot chocolate? Strawberry milk? Mountain Dew?

Ahahah

>has the explicit authority to censor communicated information as they are literally in charge of just that.

Did that ever happen?

Nigger, you're literally too stupid to read the actual bill yourself so you rely on MUH NEWS TALKING HEADS interpret it for you.

This doesn't pose any additional threat to privacy that we already face. You're just too stupid to see the sensationalism in it all.

They're the Federal Communications Commission. They regulate what can and can't be communicated through television, radio waves, etc. They could just as easily dictate what could or could not be communicated through he internet if given the power and opportunity.

>goodbye

we never had privacy.

>Companies like CTR or shill companies can gain power over you
Only if you're trying to hide like a little cucklet.
Everyone knows I'm a racist fuck that thinks women should go back to the kitchen.
The key is being so competent that your enemies still have to work with you.

We've literally seen proof of why this is false within the last fucking month with Milo, who said the exact same thing (kind of...not really) that I hear straight, grown men saying constantly with shit eating grins.
>Lucky little shit. Wish I could've fucked some of my teachers!
It doesn't matter if you said or looked at something "bad" or not. You could look up or say anything bawdy, and that will be sufficient should you ever cross the wrong person. All they have to do is run to the presses and work the right kinds of vocal invalids into a frenzy, and they will drag your name and reputation through the mud on live TV.

It may die in the House or be vetoed by Trump
Reminder that it was the fucking Republicans that voted on this, the snakes. So much for them having any sense of Libertarianism

i'm hearing this a lot

but what is the exact letter of this law?

>Libertarianism
what is un-libertarian about this?

OP here.

I'm struggling to find the exact bill. Could anyone help? All I find are news articles talking about it.

this is why I am suspecting it's fake news

I don't know if I should be worried about employers knowing I look at weird porn or if they'll find that everyone looks at weird porn.

I wouldn't immediately discount it as fake news. Maybe biased or slightly misrepresenting some information, but it seems to be widely reported.

Not fake news. The bill is out there.

To all the
>haha i have nothing to hide
Literally everything you look up will be sold to advertisers so if anyone else uses your computer, they'll see the gay cheese grater porn banner ad in the beginning of the roblox sex video you have on autoplay

Few and far between, you could always buy a pass which circumvents those bans.

>When employers and others can see what you've been browsing,
Corporations routinely violate your privacy protections, but you never gave a shat before.

this
we'll make our own markets
this is just a splitting of the folk into cucks and ubermeschen
