Working for a german software security company. This might be quite legit.

If you don't have an open source made cpu then yes, it has backdoors.

Do they exist? What about something like a raspberry pi

it's been common knowledge for a while that ME is a spying tool how do u think the cia get away with hiring such retarded """hackers"""? they barely have to do anything anymore

AMD outsourced their designs.

Seems plausible.

Might be legit, if he really sent info to reporters we should find out in the next few days.

However, I would like to say that OP didnt really provide evidence that his identity couldnt be easily faked.

intel is jewish. i have an old c2e... i am pretty sure any x86 cpu is fucked. also, intel has some sort of software thingy in the bios i forget the name but basically allows for remote access.

My favorite part is where the dickweed CIA boss admits to hiring millennials to code these things because boomers don't know how to computer, and then he blames the leaks on an entire generation's apparent lack of morality. Get fucked, deep state.

My Dad works at Nintendo and confirms it to be true.

>spying on other people
>le they aren't moral or they'd have nothing to hide
Nice try.

The intel whistleblower is a Sup Forumsack.

Here is the original thread and a pic he offered as proof.

boards.Sup Forums.org/pol/thread/117886401#top

He could be a janitor for all we know, but I'm inclined to believe it, it's something that's been rumoured and suspected for a long time

AMD FX-8350 masterace

Sounds very legit. Might be why they've been pimping the different level "sleep" states for the last couple of years, Basically your pc stays on but barely and consumes only a couple of watts;this is good for laptops and mobile phones, internet of things etc but not such a big deal for personal desktop where there is an inevitable wear and tear on stuff like psus who might not be as efficient as converting energy at let say 6% draw on a common enthusiast 700w psu

So this is why I have shit thermal paste instead of solder,Intel has been shilling for the CIA. Also ,remember Intel ,Amd IBM Apple Microsoft and most other it giants are american and deep in bed with the state ,esp the cpu manuf

Forgot to add, the biggest change that happened since the days of Windows XP era(and I call it an era bc so many things changed in the tech sector since then) is how commonplace is now is for EVERYONE to collect info on you ALL THE TIME from desktop to mobile to every fucking app to internet sites esp facefuck. IT's been slipped in witch such quality lube that people barely realize it now. And I don't buy the "they make money selling info to advertisers" meme, yes it's part of it but barely explains the phenomenon as a whole and why Facebook for instance is allowed to commit tax fraud on a gigantic scale in the US and is only taken to task in other cunts .
They provide a service, they get protection.
Same how the guy who owns LIDL and Kaufland pays very little taxes in Goymany bc his companies are under a "foundation" (same as the other ikea kike). Lidl works as a giant dumping site for german products sold at bankrupt prices that destroy lcoal economies

its true user

Fucking newfags, knowledge of intel spying on us is as old as Sup Forums

Bump

I get that it's a big deal but what can they actually do with this information? Let's assume they can automatically link a person with a feed of data from a CPU, narrowing it down from billions of people to one; can you imagine how hellish it would be to slog through years of stupid shit like a person watching horse porn or a shitty youtube streamer to find what you want?

they're getting rid of the traditional bios and replacing it with a more 'user-friendly' gui, I forget what it's called but it has some official name. all newer computers have it. it's basically a big software suite that runs instead of just the small standalone bios, so yes anything could be in there

It's true

Shhhhhhhh

Especially when it's government workers who generally can't get a job in the private sector doing it. It's why it hasn't really made a huge difference in terms of foiling terror plots but it comes in very handy when a rogue intel department wants dirt on anybody.

It's the EFI system, the first of the Vault 7 leaks detailed exploits in the EFI system. I knew it was bullshit the second I came across it.

Also, the intel shit is interesting; The Intel 'secret cpu' thing was actually public, wasn't it? Didn't they market it for business class remote administration? Obviously exploitable, but I thought this was public knowledge?

This is why I watch anime for 6 hours every day to help defeat the kike surveillance program, and why the shills desperately try to keep you away from it.

I'm doing my part, Sup Forums. Are you?

How deep does this rabbit hole go?
fucking shit im tired of this garbage, im betting this is a shitpost i dont want to believe anymore i want to unswallow the redpill.
SOMEONE PLEASE KILL ME

How could it not be? Its always been about control, information, and control of information.

do you have sort of an overwhelming sense of nostalgia for the XP Era? I like to call it the Old Wildwest Internets, since that what it seems like to me.

I miss it, everything was so more fun, relaxed. Was it just because I grew up with it and since it was my childhood I just miss my childhood and teenage years, or was the internet really as great as I remember it being in like 2006 or 2007.

I'm sad I was too young to get on the internet to see the earlier days, but getting on at like 5-6 was pretty good I'm happy about that.

So only way to be safe is to use libre configured cpu? Old school hardware or just dont be in the spotlight?

8320 here

don't kid yourself. Even if the CPU isn't compromised, something in your system is, and probably at the hardware level.

Janitors etc are usually vendored out and hired and paid by 3rd party companies

you obviously didn't understand any of that statement.

>millenial takes job
>job requires backdooring hardware and software
>millenial does not care
>the same person who would do this will also leak the fact that they're doing it
>they've just fucking proven that they aren't moral
>pretend to be surprised and shocked because you're CIAnigger

>This can't be true... right?

Oh, my brother... it's fucking true.

Intel is the microsoft of CPU manufacturers.

I don't know if AMD has something similar, but I have been using AMD and AMD ALONE since about 1998.

Because Fuck intel.

Oh, wait... "Intel", I wonder if that is related to "Intelligence Agency"

Coincidence?

I don't understand, cant someone just take the hardware apart and inspect/test this?

>Management Engine
>Exists at a level below the operating system
>TCP/IP stack
>a software construct that exists above the operating system

not convinced. Maybe on devices like Samsung's (or Apple's), where the hardware/firmware/application layer is specified and can be extended to include a purpose-built backdoor.

BTW;
AMD Fag reporting in.

GEE, I HOPE NO OTHER COUNTRY GETS ACCESS TO THE COMMUNICATIONS AND EXPLOIT PROTOCOLS THAT THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY INSTALLED IN ALL OF OUR COMPUTERS, IT WOULD MEAN THAT ALL OF THEIR OWN COMPUTERS COULD BE REMOTE ACCESSED BY OTHER NATIONS INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITIES.

AND THAT WOULD BE.... "PROBLEMATIC"

It's true, but the poster is almost definitely some roleplaying faggot.

Nothing to see here virgin goy, continue buying our quality products so you can sit in front of a screen for the rest of your life .

I'm positive Russian is already on this.

>no webcam
>no mic
>custom built router
>running full encrypted system

the only way the would get my stuff is if they get physical access.

This has been known for what..4 years? The chip even has it's own internet connection. Amd has it too.

Not when its an embedded component on the CPU.

Actually I hadn't even considered this.

assuming a business that doesn't use public tender for their computing hardware/software, and use commercially available computers.

and some hacker figured out a way to get past security due to the compromised hardware, I can just imagine the mountain of lawsuit intel will have to face.

yes and no. equipment necessary is hard to moby, ir's also potted inside the package making it hard to take apart without damage.

are you thinking of UEFI? it's technically '''''good''''' but yes there are some security concerns

Could have it's own antenna, who said it's going to hijack *your* internet connection

You have to think way deeper than that, dude

It's probably a LARPer, but the technology is real and far from secret:

hackaday.com/2016/01/22/the-trouble-with-intels-management-engine/

lrn2bing

I'm starting to become a full freetard because of this shit, we need fully open source hardware asap

>Could have it's own antenna

mate... look up what a Faraday cage is, every metal case is basically one.

Guess why integrated Wlan on motherboards have external antennas.

>AND THAT WOULD BE.... "PROBLEMATIC"

IT WOULD BE A SPECIAL ACCESS PROJECT WITH SO MUCH PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY BUILT IN THAT NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE LEGAL SYSTEM.

SHAREHOLDERS WILL BE THE ONES TO PUNISH THEM.

what ya hiding mate

I'd like to see some nerdo show proof of this. Must not be too hard if they no where to look.

what does this even mean

open soruce is not outsourced

The company is literally named "intel"

why would any of this shit shock you?

>implying any of that matters

...

This is many years old knowledge. Major tech articles out there about locking.

You're a fucking noob if you didn't know this already.
Read about it on Sup Forums back in 2015

KYS SHILL. PLACE YOUR ANUS OVER THE HOT TUB DRAIN.

It's real but not because of OP, but because this has already been verified as true

So that's why Intel processors haven't really improved in the last several years. They have been shunting data stream through this ME. Not that I really care that the NSA can see all the tranny granny midget porn I watch.

google.com/amp/www.techrepublic.com/google-amp/article/is-the-intel-management-engine-a-backdoor/

Op is a liar and a faggot. It's only hooked up to firmware. Can't do shit except read ram.

What about older CPUs like my E5450 or my future upgrade, X5492?

What about AMD?

...

It is legit. There are several hardware backdoors in everyday pcs.

Good fucking luck.

>I'm positive Russian is already on this.

That's a hell of a strange way to spell Israel.

Where you got that badge? I'll make 200!!!

a post on Sup Forums is certainly a proof
top kek
if the guy didn't speak about Trump, I would have believed that guy is not a shill
there are two different stories mixed there
CIA spying/ backdoors in CPUs
Trump ties to Russia

tl;dr
Next time give a quick enchilada if you want someone to give a shit.

...

I've slowly come to the realization that we are all living in hell. I've spent so much energy fighting pessimism, I'm done.

UEFI and EFI you mean, these are shit and requires special loaders to install anything UNIX-clone

>there is a major privacy violation happening here
>let's post it on Sup Forums instead of blowing the whistle through reputable media
shit larp and shit post

I don't know if either of you really understood it. It's immoral to broadly spy on people and transcribe all their skype calls to text, therefore leaking information about the immoral program is moral if it is done to inform others of wrongdoing. Millennials are retarded for applying for jobs in the deep state in the first place, but holy shit are the boomers dumb as shit for thinking they're not going to get called on their completely evil bullshit after a while.

its already proven that the FBI/NSA/CIA have been installing backdoors with the help of tech companies like Google

nice try CIA nigger

install TempleOS

TBs of trap porn

Don't be a faggot and give up so easily

...

It goes really really deep.

Your smart phone, your computer and any other "internet friendly" device is spying on you.

Not only that but they can also add things to your computer without your knowledge.

Then all the backdoors that were built in (and released because millennials can't keep any secrets) now Abdul in Nigeria is "hacking" into your computer and stealing your bank and credit card information.

OP is a LARPing faggot, but what he's saying is true.

techrepublic.com/article/is-the-intel-management-engine-a-backdoor/

they just gather it all "just in case". they have collected gazillion terrabytes of data and dont have any way to utilise it. and they never actually prevent shit with it. it's just "just in case" and "we ned to show that we are not a waste of tax payer money".

>implying Israel needs to hack and hasn't been given full an unrestricted access by (((Intel)))

It probably is true, but it would require special data to activate it. If it were spying by default it would be difficult to hide the IP packets or whatever produced even if the OS can't see them, because the packets still have to pass through several routers not all of which are guaranteed to have Intel rootkits.

So what is the trigger? Maybe the m.e. looks for a particular signature as it reads in memory, or a particular sequence of arithmetic operations or something... You would want to be able to trigger it with a single innocuous IP packet, or by having the computer load a file with a specific byte sequence, or by executing javascript on the web that will be translated into machine code in such a way as to trigger the backdoor state when run

Fairly positive the Vault 7 leaks describe exactly what you're talking about. If some abbo can think it up and post it on Sup Forums then the CIA surely thought of it basically when computers were invented.

This is old news, don't know why it is being blown up now. But yeah its true. That part of the cpu is also "used" to "update" micro code within the cpu itself without your promision.

>the only way the would get my stuff is if they get physical access.
Β.b.but you're on the internet, you can be pwned with a million different ways.
>But I use Wireshark and nothing comes out of my PC/Chinkpad to a suspicious IP
maybe the have developed their own protocols for TAO just like Apple with the new iphone earplugs that use their own protocol(it's not bluetooth btw)

Correct. And if you look at Intel's statements on the topic ithey are carefully worded to absolve intel, but not necessarily a group of non intel folks working a desk away.

fug

Time to buy Chinese processors then.

KYS FUCCBOI SHILL

I'm thinking the only way to be safe now is to live in a cabin in the woods.

You came here from reddit didn't you?

Back you go faggot!

feels good to have an amd processer right now

of course it's true, why do you think all conversations about military laptops and hardware encryption processing get pruned ultra fast?

I don't buy this story unless the first part is fabricated. It would be ridiculously easy for their personnel department to track this guy down (again, unless he made up up the job details). A normal person wouldn't say so much.

Special data that was leaked by a special intelligence agency - to wikileaks.

>Was it just because I grew up with it and since it was my childhood I just miss my childhood and teenage years, or was the internet really as great as I remember it being in like 2006 or 2007.

It was both. I grew up when Internet was just taking off in the 90's-all the geocitie sites make me nostalg hard.

I miss everything about internet from the past, but I do like how far we've come since.

>if he really sent info to reporters we should find out in the next few days.

haha NO, he might be dead in a few days, or getting sued for breaking his NDA
