way more expensive. ammo is costly and germany has a war to win and any ammo counts. All of you saying durr muh ovens couldnt burn so many - first of all, there were about 40-60 ovens in Aushwitz, dont remember how many exactly, and if you do the math you get 2 bodies burnt in each oven for 1 hour, so half an hour for each. Now many think of their way of doing it as ours, when we cremate our deceased - but thats a completely different thing. They didnt burn them to ash, they burnt just so the flash burns out and then they grinded the bones they picked out from an oven. So there is that. Also - most victims were burnt in bigass trenches, not in the ovens.

We can now use modern forensic dna testing to identify these bodies, so their loved ones can finally get peace. It's really odd when you think about it, that no one has ever gone back and dug up these mass graves full of concealed bodies. It seems like the first thing you would do if you were the (((soviets))) who were in charge of all holocaust crime scenes at the end of the war.
