Just letting you know m8 that you will find it hard for employment unless you have previous experience from a tier 1 company.
I know plenty of internationals who come here and go to our top schools with postgraduate engineering related degrees only to have to pack their bags after 2 years of waiting tables due to being unable to find jobs and their 2 year post graduate visa running out.
Also be prepared for engineering to no longer be a field for visa's. We have an over supply of engineering graduates which has been this way for about 5 years, the gobment have only noticed recently.
Doctors are also on the list to remove for vias believe it or not.

I'm a contracts administrator for Ceerose and all of our engineers get paid dogshit compared to the construction management team and estimators.

The oversupply is due to letting boat loads of skilled forgins take our entry engineering jobs when we had loads of our own graduates already here to fill them.
The doctors is due to foreign doctor's coming and only working in our cities which has caused our graduates to have limited position to fill.
They have taken our graduate doctors jobs. This is actually a serious issue with GP's less so with specialists.
The system was supposed to be the forign doctors working in the outback while ours work in the cities but what has happened is they all have ended up in the cities with our less skilled graduates missing out.

I am not entirely sure but I believe it is when you are a full time employee on a set salary.
It is also an industry standard for blue collar construction jobs. I have worked for 2 smaller companies and now a tier 2 company and each one I was expected to work 7am-7pm weekdays with a half day on Saturday every week or two.

I don't think I can even go an hour watching TV without some ad playing offering a loan or rental furniture or appliances or something. California is way too cucked for my liking, move to a red state or something man. Florida and Texas have high populations with a decent conservative population, you should be able to find engineering jobs within those areas though I'm no engineer so take that with a grain of salt. Arizona, especially the northern part is actually quite nice though transplants from the liberal states are infesting that place from what I've heard. Montana is quite nice as well but only if you're retiring there. Maine is quite interesting, however the gun laws are quite decent and the scenery is quite beautiful. Honestly, moving to Australia seems like a huge waste of time and money for an American. They don't even like Americans or any foreigner for that matter. You'd be better off moving out of that wretched state to a better state.
