Say what you want about Paul Ryan, but the guy at least proved that he's a statesman.
>says Reps have been an opposition party for nearly a decade and that's easier than governing
This is the most start admission. He's practically saying that Reps have been obstructionists for a decade; just impotent complaining without any real policy solutions. And this was proven last week.
>says Reps simply couldn't pass something they'd campaigned about for 7 years because they couldn't form a consensus
This is the sort of straight talk you want to hear from your politicians. And for that, Paul Ryan deserves some respect.
On the other hand >Trump blames the Democratic party and not his party or his pathetic attempt to pass Trumpcare
You have a statesman (Paul Ryan) and then you have Trump: a billionaire with no real interest in the subtle, important details of governing. Trump is really just a slogan or logo at this point.
It should also be mentioned that the Freedom Caucus plagues our federal government under Obama and now under Trump. They need to be purged.
Ryan is getting knocked the fuck off, either figuratively or literally

"On October 20, 2015, Paul Ryan announced that his bid for the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives was contingent on an official endorsement by the Freedom Caucus"
Paul Ryan isn't the fucking problem. You're part of the reason why Republicans are continually flunkies and the world has to be constantly reminded. Learn something. Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Obama, and the rest of the government are stunted in their ability to succeed because of the "Freedom" caucus. They were the source of the damn government shutdowns, the sequester which defunded the military for the last 6-7 years. These people don't understand government and they're the problem.
They're not conservatives. They're authoritarians, maybe even anarchists.

anyone who defy's trump should be sent to prison and quickly executed. Paul Ryan is a treasonous traitor.
Jonathan Williams
>pick a side will you
I can't because they can't. The Freedom Caucus essentially wants to break the federal government. They want to see it disrupted enough such that it isn't a viable alternative to help solve any of society's problems, and they're willing plunge society into anarchy until they can assume control.
Jace Davis
No, no he's not. A True statesman would understand the culture of his country and know how to work with it to strengthen its governing institutions. Ryan has no idea how to govern because he's an unassimilated Catholic in a Protestant nation. That's why he can't build a consensus in his caucus. As a Catholic he neither understands nor respects the Protestant ethos of America.
The Freedom caucus is simply a by product of the fact that the Federal Government is anti-Protestant and Anti-white. Even if they were somehow purged, say in primaries, they would just come back two years later. In fact, many members of the FC are there because they beat establishment figures in primaries, so an attempted purge isn't likely to succeed.
Ryan and his ilk, on the other hand, could be purged. All it would take to eliminate Ryan is a challenger who understands the logistics of campaigning, and is willing to call him on his bullshit. Consider that Ryan has refused to meet with the families of people killed by illegal aliens, but has piously protested against breaking up illegal immigrant families. That malevolent hypocrisy would destroy him if made the focus of an effective primary campaign.

How is Trump going to remove one of the few Republican policy wonks that actually take HC seriously, unlike himself?
Aiden Rivera
Trump can do whatever he wants, he's the goddamn president you liberal retard. I bet you anything, as soon as he is done golfing he is going to be coming for Ryan.
Noah Myers
>Trump can do whatever he wants >he's the goddamn president
Actually, the president can't remove the speaker. It's up to the Republicans in the House to do that.
Like you, Trump is realizing his limitations as POTUS and is hopefully beginning to understand the position better; that he may actually need to learn something about government to be effective.
Ayden Russell
This. Paul Ryan is based. He listens to RATM and lifts weights.
Nicholas Morgan
Paul Ryan had no plan to replace Obamacare because he supports it. Democrats are such easy marks.
Jackson Scott
if the republicans dont remove him then they are complicit in treason and deserve execution as well.
Benjamin Phillips
It's true that the Freedom caucus is from safe districts, but their ideology is no where near a reflection of the majority of US citizens. They're extremists and they are going to ultimately fail. Trump blames dems because he knows he's closer aligned with democratic values over that caucus that needs to be purged. He knows that he won't be able to convince them of anything.
Alexander Lewis
Technically that's true. Just like it's technically true that the President could pardon anyone who kills a member of congress. Rules lawyering is a dangerous approach to politics.
Aiden Rogers
Trump will be akin to radioactive sewage in about a year once the intel agencies finish investigating the Russian hacking of the DNC. No one will want to be near him. It's hard to call others treasonous when you're being criminally investigated regarding that subject.
Ayden Peterson
>their ideology is no where near a reflection of the majority of US citizens
Most U.S. citizens don't have ideology, they have CULTURE. The FC is inline with the culture of real Americans, Paul Ryan is not. This means that even when people disagree with the positions or tactics of the FC, most Americans will respect them for taking a stand. Ryan, on the other hand, offends most Americans when he takes a stand for his principles, because those principles are un-American. Ryan's excuse making, his attempts to hide behind institutional rules and blame others for his failing, aren't going to be persuasive to the protestant voters the Republican party is dependent on. On the other hand, the FC's invocation of core values and denunciation of Ryan's arrogant high-handedness will resonate with protestants.

News flash: they embarrassed Trump on the world stage. They need to be stomped out of office IMMEDIATELY.

Wisconsin resident here.
The GOP in Wisconsin sleep with the liberal democrats.
It's one big game of flirting and pillow fights behind the scenes, while they pretend to be upset in the public's eye.
Money has corrupted them all, while the lower classes are cut off from great opportunities to work and grow and the immigrants are flooded into the cities by every angle of the world for exploitation.
Fuck Paul Ryan, Fuck Scott Walker, Fuck Russ Feingold.
The only decent guy we have is Ron Johnson but he is pretty much alone among the masses of democratic filth and gop cucks / traitors.
Brayden Reed
Don't get me wrong, Paul Ryan is pretty useless but I think he's getting far more shit than he deserves. It feels like their is a large agenda to replace him, not because his incompetency but because he doesn't fit the Trump agenda. Like it feels irrational for Trump to take a plan everyone and their mom says is a horrible plan (17% approval rating) and force the vote on it so prematurely, then be surprised it failed and turn around and blame Ryan, like it's really his own fault for pushing something so bad so hard. It's Trump's fault for promising an impossible repeal and reform within his first month of office and it's some how Ryan's fault that Trump didn't know what he was promising. It really feels like Trump and his administration setup this thing to deliberately explode in Ryan's face, like it's just the first step of their plan to remove him then who knows what's next. Like look at the news outlets, like Brietbart and Fox that suddenly pivoted and did a 360* on this coverage, it feels really suspicious. Like they didn't gradually set into disappointment but more like they got the flag from their higher ups to push this blietzkrieg on him. It just doesn't add up, Trump isn't an idiot, he made a killing in business dealing with people that agree and don't agree with him, he should had been more than competent to realize this was going to happen, not to mention he has an entire white house staff supporting him and advising him on this situation.
Josiah Price

>maybe even anarchists.
Yep. Ryan thought Trump would be able to distract the press and the people with his antics while he passed his agenda. He's only now realized this is not going to happen.
It's funny, all the people complaining about Ryan don't give any actual reason outside of muh Trump. A few years back /pol was sucking Ryan's Ayn Rand clit.
Ayden White
>Trump isn't an idiot, he made a killing in business >falling for the muh business meme
Irrelevant. Trump isn't skilled in government and knowing the "business" of government. His talents don't mean shit here. How is Trump supposed to sell a product that he hardly cares to understand.
I know Trump supporters like to believe in the transitive properties of success, but success isn't magic. It typically means having a targeted ability that represents quality outside of the mediocrity within the population. Trump has proven himself to be successful in a very specific way and nothing else.
