Why aren't we exploring space?

The moon landing was almost 60 years ago. Shouldn't we already be colonizing Mars and shit?

because (((capitalism))) doesn't want us to
all hail the invisible hand

Dems and deep state can't allow it.

They can barely keep an iron first, how would they exert control over another planet?

Because we need to feed all the starving niggers you racist

the more important question is why aren't we trying to explore the deep ocean?

Answer is easy. In comparison to going to space. We have never gone there. Maybe low earth orbit. But beyond that its still impossible. Wish we found out someday why.

All the space money is going to illiterate single black women with 6 kids.

This

50 million of these primitives that we have to provide for and pretend that they're human. They're expensive pets.

youtube.com/watch?v=5iNIsdyZXvI

People don't really want to spend money in exploring space, and there's no Space Race anymore. Zero low-term incentives for the plebs. They would prefer to use that money to mutilate trans-fags dicks in order to make them happy.

we shouldve been there by 2000 AD but they wont let us technological advance unless it serves some consumerist ideal

everything is fucked

We need mo money for dem programs, laquisha and ahmed, and pablo need to eat, we can't be affording no white supremacy science sheet like space rockets.

This: Crapitalism says we need to feed niggers and promote base hedonism instead of colonizing the solar system.

>in space exploration*
>short-term*

I don't know what I'm thinking of.

I just wonder what are (((they))) hiding?

Is going to space hallal?

Do you live in a fucking cave? Europe are about to start building moonbases ... and want people living up there asap.

you mean the state using ((civil rights)) to force white capitalists to be burdened by taxes and forced to associate with browns

The moon landings/ mars rover bs is fake asf and if you can't see it you might be retarded.

Whose we? Do you have a tiny American in your backpack? Last I checked It was the U.S.A that landed on the moon, French people watched it on tv.

because we can't get living creatures past the van allen radiation belts.

it's not profitable
that's the reason we'll never be a space faring race, less we come up with some new propulsion technology that makes it cheaper.

Sign of the times when living on the moon is better than living in Europe.

What? No. We went to the moon with the aims of weaponizing lunar orbit. In the process we developed sufficiently efficient launch vehicles that we discovered could instead be used to heft nuclear payloads on globe-trotting sub-orbital flights.

That's why we never went back to the moon. If we had, we'd probably all be dead by now.

Mars, in comparison, has zero economic or defense purposes. The only thing we should do is footprints and flags, and then never go back.

>pop science articles
>flying cars coming in 1991!

NASA had plans to land humans on Mars by 1983.

Dem programs lead us down a different path.

because its a lot of fucking effort for little return
>took years to manage
>costs billions
>buncha astronauts died in apollo 1
>america finally gets there
>HEY, ITS NOTHING BUT DUST AND ROCKS

We got world peace in return, which, by one means or another was the explicit purpose of the Apollo Program.

People here are so stupid
Don't even know the earth is flat and that there is a dome around earth

>zero defense purpose
>not separating your manufacturing base from the frontline of the war

> American reading skills
Where did I say the French did?

>>not separating your manufacturing base from the frontline of the war

That would be completely uneconomical, on every level. It would hasten the loss of the war, nothing else.

It's a totally different animal.

>leave the moon's orbit
>you are now orbiting the earth

>leave Mars's orbit
>you are now orbiting the sun

It's hard to get back, requires a shit load of fuel and more effort. It is possible of course, just a lot harder of a round trip.

yeah real peaceful at the moment

Time to become spaceships and fuck this gay-muslim-transnigger Earth

Who said anything about coming back? Mars isn't going to terraform itself, is it?

youtube.com/watch?v=ikoNQNj9ZnU

So it's inevitable that we turn into machines.

It takes about the same amount of gas to transfer to mars and enter low orbit as it does to get from LEO to the moon's low orbit.

8km/s for the moon, about 6.6 km/s to get from LEO to low mars orbit.

The issue is all the added payload that keeping humans alive for the 9 months or so it takes to fly there. That's the true cost, and we've yet to find a good enough justification for it.

Yeah, it is. Notice how there's no nukes flying? Or world powers duking it out with conventional warfare?

Do some research you fat, lazy cunt. Is that too difficult?

>The moon landing was almost 60 years ago. Shouldn't WE
Who the fuck is "we" then? You should've written, "The great and advanced nation of the United States of America, financed, engineered and built a space ship, put it on the moon, and returned it to earth where the rest of us losers live, 48 years ago. Why doesn't the great U.S.A return there, or show the rest of us morons how to do it.

because of niggers

>pop sci articles

>""""""""reaearch"""""""

Go to school you pikey.

>Shouldn't we already be colonizing Mars and shit?

This could work and if they make a rocket capable of actually landing on Mars like the SpaceX one does back on Earth, it could lift off again, perhaps with extra fuel sent from Earth over a few years.

How do you get from Mars back to Earth's orbit though? That's the issue.

I'll take Apollo missions for $400, Alex.

Because it's hard and expensive and space is quite fucking big. This is why we use drones. They do exploring better than us for us.

/thread
If the Axis won the war, we'd have cities up there by now.

We're all fucked.

We have a gorillion starving niggers and mexicans we need to feed in this world and you want to waste resources going into space?

>and we've yet to find a good enough justification for it
kebabed by the outer space treaty
if you allow mining celestial bodies for nukes, every country will have a space mining and colonizing program

Fucking nigger if you watch Iisac Arthur you damn well know the answer already. Wtf are you on about?

Communism was a main driving factor behind the space race.

If it hadn't been there, USA might just have slowed down after WWII.

So it seems like anything but capitalism is good for expanding the world.
It was the same with the Colonial Companies back in the day, those was also governmental promoted.

with current technology it's impossible to leave our solar system and explore other stars that may have inhabitable planets. 1 light year = 30,000 earth years of travel with current technology. The nearest star is 10 light years. Do the math sweety.

>How do you get from Mars back to Earth's orbit though? That's the issue.

It's a little less, owing to the lower gravity of mars. I figure about 5.8 km/s.

...

Kek 'pets' he says... kek

Because they found a base buried up there, and upon further study, realized that it wasn't aliens. It was built by humans from a lost civilization. The samples they recovered from the bodies were 14C dated to about 30,000 years old. A secret conference of the major powers was convened, and a determination was made that no one goes back up there. The potential destabilization from this revelation is far too great, and the potential of unlocking the technology in that base is a huge danger to the balance of power.

tl;dr - Humanity was once far more advanced than even what we have now, and evidently we destroyed ourselves.

No idea what caused that destruction, but I'm guessing it was because of Niggers and Jews.

>if you allow mining celestial bodies for nukes, every country will have a space mining and colonizing program

It takes a lot of rocket fuel to slow down large orbiting masses to the point where they come down to where we need them.

At present, we've not discovered any naturally occurring material in space that has a greater cost than the rocket fuel and vehicle that it would take to pluck it from the sky.

There are still major obstacles to overcome. Colonizing another world is very hard, I don't believe it's currently technically feasible.

>Why aren't we exploring space?

Because it was only white people who ever had the strong desire as a race to go into outer space, just as it's only white people who have a certain percentage of members who want to:

dive out of airplanes
go to the deepest parts of the oceans
free-climb the most dangerous rock faces
explore the earth's frozen polar regions
chart the unexplored reaches of the earth's cave systems
et cetera

As white people are replaced, there will be no national political will to do these sorts of grand explorations which only white people, as a race, have felt the need to support.

>considers himself woke and redpilled

>thinks we actually went to the moon

Haha, because there is no space my friend.

niggers and islam

It never will be.

How long have we plied the oceans? Thousands of years? Yet how many people live in the ocean? Many people work there, yes, but nobody truly lives there.

People build the pyramids and other stupid shit.

We just need to turn space into a religious thing, and a religious thing for more than the fedora tippers.

It kills us and we do the have the tools to fully take advantage of it yet (e.g mining for resources in both these ecosystems)

The Mars One guys are going to fucking die. They're going to crash one the fucking planet and never be heard from again just like almost everything we've seen to that shitty rock so far.

This.

busy making payments to israel.

>Shouldn't we already be colonizing Mars and shit?

What's a Mars rover

Cuz me 'n ur mom lik 2 fug m80

wtf I hate non-whites now.

There was already brown people in all those places.

Idiots.

Jews don't want you to.

There are two kinds of people. Those who understand what specific impulse is, and those who don't. Those that don't, wonder why we aren't sending colonies to Mars and mining asteroids. Those that do, know why we're not doing that.

Wondering why we're not flying all over the solar system is like wondering why airliners aren't powered by steam engines.

Haha, they just took tax payers money for some phony balony experiment. And took the rest for themselves. Nasa is just bunch of so called scientists. People believe them so much that it becomes the same as religion.

Why haven't we just fucking shot shit into Mars for years? Just keep bombarding it with supplies and building materials in one location till that shit builds up?

If you have a deep sea habitat you have to either have an extreme pressure vessel or breathe a dense mixture of mostly helium and some oxygen. Too much oxygen or nitrogen and you fucking die.

High pressure is dangerous.

This is unironically the real reason.

Mostly budget cuts. And the fact that robots can do the job of exploring mars better. We still have to develop modules that can transport life that far. Going to the moon is a lot different that going to mars. That, and a loss of public interest, making it hard to fund.

Globetardz everywhere.

That's cleaning lady and janitor day, at JPL

That's like the reason Sup Forums is here

>what specific impulse is
Can a nigga get a quick rundown?

What the actual fuck man. White race. Space exploring. Oh my god man. Wake up!

Because without FTL travel space exploration is impossible and nothing more than a meme. And since FTL travel is likely impossible then space travel is a meme altogether. Even if FTL travel is possible, it probably wont be a reality for hundreds of more years, which means that considering space travel now is utterly pointless. We are incapable of going anywhere farther than mars, and mars is useless entirely without terraforming, which is another fantasy and meme that wont be made a reality ever if at all, and just like FTL travel if terraforming is possible then only in a long time from now.

I wish we at least built a foothold in like Mars before shit got bad. So people could try to build something good as Earth goes to shit. So maybe I could live to see a galactic civil war where the Hitler version of Mars comes back and pushes our shit in.

Very simple, frog.
Because in space, there are no goyim to put private central banks over.
It is a waste of your productivity.

Because the White man drifted his focus away from space and towards looking after the ever increasing list of minorities.

If you want to get something to move you have to accelerate.
Specific impulse is the """"force"""" a rocket delivers to your rocket, and it takes a hell lot of energy to do that.
Energy have to come from some kind of phase change of """something""" be it atoms or chemicals.

tl:dr nuclear engines are banned by treaty. And any other alternative have not yet been engineered.

>Why aren't we exploring space

We've got black bastards to feed, house, clothe, educate and imprison.

These fucking idiots don't know about Yakub the big headed scientest and his creations. White nationalism is a fucking disgrace.

They have. It's called the secret space program.

Most space exploration and the science related to it, is essentially pointless and a less-than-wise investment. People in the US realised that in the 70s when the Soviets were visibly collapsing.

A nice, colourful deep-space mission like New Horizons or Rosetta keeps the public entertained and thus space-related science in a good light. Other than that, the scientific value of these is marginal.

>Why aren't we exploring space?
We are.

>The moon landing was almost 60 years ago. Shouldn't we already be colonizing Mars and shit?
See, we are exploring with drones now, it is MUCH cheaper than manned missions and allows for the mapping of the landscape of mars and gathering of valuable geographic information, most importantly being water and minerals.

We will only send a manned mission when we are 100% sure it will be a success, otherwise we would be wasting a shitfuck of resources.

See Wikipedia. Specific impulse specifies how much push you get out of a specified amount of rocket propellant.

Actually, it -is- rocket science.

fuck the treaties lets get crackin

Living on Mars would be literally worse than living in Antarctica

You guys please get a bit more informed about space. It's not like a sci Fi fantasy and most likely it will never be.

All I know is that the CIA was pretty emboldened after killing off Kennedy and installing LBJ, so faking the moon landing isn't off the table. The moon is basically the Texas of the solar system, nothing but vast free land in outer fucking space. Why aren't we colonizing it already, right this very minute? Only rational explanation is we've never been there in the first place.
