C&C 3 was good in terms of gameplay mechanics, having separate construction queues for different buildings. The storyline suffered a lot though.
C&C4 is listed, by itself, in its own category in my Steam library, "Fucking Horseshit"

renegade was pretty fun because it was kinda close to tiberian dawn but it was laggy as fuck and ran through fucking gamespy if i recall correctly. the lag was brutal but i remember raping everyone with tanks in that game so bad

Renegade is still fucking alive. A new team sources the game with Tib Dawn and RA1 modes. And before Gspy took a shit they imported certain maps where you could get Tib Sun. Nothing was finer than shooting down a Nod chopper with the Orca and rolling an Orca bomber in the gap and wiping half the team before an Obelisk nailed you. By the end of it was a couple 120 man servers with 60 tank caps. Literally every C&C tactic was useable at that point...med tank spam, bike rushes, APC engie rush. So fucking glorious.
