It's GroenLinks that is stupid in this equation. Haven't you been paying attention these last 4 years? Even more than during 'Paars' the PvdA & VVD coalition basically enacted watered down VVD policies. Even though the VVD took some electoral damage from this, the PvdA was demolished. And I guess at least to some extent the damage comes from the coalition treatment of the Ukraine Association Agreement referendum and the corruption scandals within the VVD.
The PvdA has been a technocratic and crypto-elitist centre-left party since the early nineties. Sure, they pander to the 'progressive' narrative, which distracts not just Sup Forumsrightwingers but some old-school leftists as well.
On social-economic policy GL is, at least in rhetoric, more to the left than PvdA. On top of that, they've got a fundamental commitment to environmentalism and green-economics whereas the PvdA has always been a much more traditional pro-industrialization left party. This won't jive with the VVD and their obsession with short term economic growth, nor with the CDA pandering to their agricultural base.
GL also is much smaller than the PvdA was 4 years ago and thus lacks negotiation power. GL has no other options to get into power, the VVD can swith to the CU, make some socio-cultural consessions to these Christian soft-theocrats while reaffirming their pro-EU pro-corporatist agenda. Any critique from the genuine liberal wing within the VVD will be laid at the feet of GL: "we had to work with the CU, becuase these leftwing ideoloques could not compromise!"

A great deal of my time online and IRL discussions consist of reframing the discussion in more precise terms, i.e. not excepting Trump to be dismissed as a 'rapist white nationalist', which means the actual substance gets ignored, in as far as Trump has any substance.
I am aware of the irony that lurking and posting on Sup Forums for over 7 or 8 years has made me more precise and honest in identifying the different strains of rightwing thinking, considering the amount of genuine nazi's and fascists present here amongst all the shitposters and edgelords.

Their entire worldview is predicated on the idea that people are trying to oppress others all the time, so OF COURSE they will jump at any victim they can find.
