Canadian Conservative Party?

Question, is this guy worth voting for?

I'm thinking about it, but not sure.

Also, do you have to pay with a credit card under your name for membership, or can you use a friends? Apparently Pre-paids are no longer allowed?

Btw, deadline is like tomorrow to register. March 28th.

>doesn't have a credit card

He is not perfect (supported M103 at first etc.), but he has true liberty principles. He would also take alot of centrists onboard, hopefully securing a majority in 2019.

I'm moving to the states if (((O'leary))) or Trudeau is pm in 2019.

He's the only electable cpc candidate
So yes

Also get on that shit ASAP

This ,
Vote for Maxime only on the ballot , he's a high energy madman who will make Canada great again

>doesn't have a credit card
Yeah, yeah, I know. I don't like em, and worried about losing one, since I've lost 5 wallets in the past. I mainly relied on pre-paids, but they don't allow them now due to some people using them to create multiple accounts to vote?

Asking for info for the last question in my op.

I can still register tomorrow right? How long does it take to get a credit card? If its doable in a single day then I might be able to work something out.

What about Micheal Chong? I don't really like him for some reason. I hear hes practically a liberal.

>Also, do you have to pay with a credit card under your name for membership, or can you use a friends? Apparently Pre-paids are no longer allowed?

I'll put him on the ballet, but I need the last question answered, my friend doesn't want to use his card because on the website it says:

>1. I am a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada and I am making this contribution with my personal credit card and not a corporate credit card;
>2. This contribution is not from a corporation;
>3. The funds I am donating are from me and are not being provided by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
The 3rd one makes me worry.

Won't secondary and 3rd choices matter? At the very least they send a message to the party about whats popular and not.

I was thinking of putting Sheer and Leitch as 2nd and 3rd.

Bumping just this once.

My ballot choices:

1) Bernier
2) Deepak
3) Leitch
4)Scheer
5) Trost
6)Raitt

The rest who gives a fuck they can stay off.

Chong's platform basically boils down to this:
>The Liberals won the last election, so clearly the only way to win is to BECOME the Liberals!
>CARBON TAX!
>IDENTITY POLITICS!
>BAN GUNS!

He's the only person in the race more "Liberal" than O'Leary.

Yes. No candidate has 50%+1 as per current polls. It will come down to 2nd or maybe even 3rd rank ballots.

youtube.com/watch?v=3Y3jE3B8HsE

As for the prepaid card/using someone else's card, call and ask them. conservative.ca/contact/

1. Bernier
2. O'Toole

Deepak didnt vote on M103, therefore making him a traitor to the cause.

maximebernier.com/reduce_the_total_number_of_immigrants_to_250_000_per_year

WOW SUCH RADICAL CHANGE.

When will you fucking shills realize that all these parties are the exact same?

Voting for Leitch first. Bernier is my second choice. He's just not hard enough on immigration as I'd like him to be.

Though if Bernier gets elected as party head, I'd gladly support him too in the federal election.

That's a reduction of 50k/annum and no other candidate wants to reduce the rate AT ALL. If you're (rightfully) concerned about immigration rates, he's the ONLY game in town.

Better than the other option...

thestar.com/business/2016/10/23/finance-ministers-key-advisers-want-100m-canadians-by-2100.html
>Imagine Canada with a population of 100 million — roughly triple its current size.

>>>For two of the most prominent voices inside the Trudeau government’s influential council of economic advisers, it’s much more than a passing fancy.

>It’s a target.

The 14-member council was assembled by Finance Minister Bill Morneau to provide “bold” advice on how best to guide Canada’s struggling economy out of its slow-growth rut.

>One of their first recommendations, released last week, called for a gradual increase in permanent immigration to 450,000 people a year by 2021 — with a focus on top business talent and international students. That would be a 50-per-cent hike from the current level of about 300,000.

The council members — along with many others, including Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains — argue that opening Canada’s doors to more newcomers is a crucial ingredient for expanding growth in the future.

>They say it’s particularly important as more and more of the country’s baby boomers enter their golden years, which eats away at the workforce.

The conviction to bring in more immigrants is especially significant for at least two of the people around the advisory team’s table.

And yet Leitch is just fine with the 300k/annum.

REMINDER: CURRENT CANADIAN GOVERNMENT WORKING DIRECTLY WITH GEORGE SOROS

>Canada is forming a partnership with the United Nations and billionaire George Soros to help other countries implement their own version of Canada's private refugee sponsorship program.

Immigration Minister John McCallum told Rosemary Barton, host of CBC News Network's Power & Politics, he knows of about 13 countries that are potentially interested in Canada's model for private refugee sponsorship, adding he has already had talks with the United Kingdom.

The release said the initiative will start by creating training modules for private sponsorship based on an analysis of the Canadian model and will offer countries "tailored advice" on how to adapt and implement the programs.

>The joint initiative between the government of Canada, the UN High Commission on Refugees and Soros's Open Society Foundations will have a kick-off meeting in Ottawa in December, the release said.

McCallum said Canada's decades of experience with private sponsorship, going back to the resettlement of Vietnamese refugees in the 1970s, puts it in a position to help other countries.

"I think we can offer practical advice to those countries who are interested in going this route, and I do believe, based on our own experience, that it will be a successful thing to do, and I'm grateful to the UN and George Soros for co-sponsoring this initiative with us," he told Barton.

>McCallum said Soros would contribute funding to the project.

cbc.ca/news/politics/private-refugee-sponsorship-soros-un-1.3769639?cmp=rss

That's a good point. If Bernier is for reinstating Mexican visas and sending the people illegally crossing through the US/Canada border right now back I'm for him. He just doesn't talk much about illegal immigration than Leitch does.

He actually said very recently that he'd even consider using the military to secure the border if necessary.

Nicccce

I'm just worried that while he's saying all the right things, like Leitch, he's not going to do anything that he's promising so far. Maybe I'm just really jaded but I hope he's not controlled opposition or something. Just looking at the candidates we have compared to Trump makes me feel like Max is part of the establishment, and is just saying things to get people to vote for him.

How can I trust that he'll do any of the things he says he will? Though I guess anything is better than Liberal or NDP

I'm starting to wonder if people will look past leitch's screechy voice...

He has been pretty consistent. Even after the biggest scandal of his career, he managed to hold his seat with over 50% of the vote and in the 2015 election got nearly 60%.

Of all the candidates who actually hold a seat, he has the highest percentage of the vote in his respective riding. The runner-ups are Blaney (also in Quebec) and fucking Chong of all people.

I'm voting Leitch, Bernier, Scheer. In that order. Everyone should, in whatever order you want, since it's a ranked ballot and they are all better than Chong and the other cuckservatives.

Plus let's be real, just by being the leader of the Tories he's got a basically assured chance of winning in 2019 due to how much the left is starting to hate Trudeau and how the question is which of the two left parties will come in second place next round.

He's /our guy/ and if he wins the leadership he's the next PM.

Pretty much. Bernier will at the very least get a strong minority government. We might see the NDP become official opposition again, even.

>maximebernier.com/reduce_the_total_number_of_immigrants_to_250_000_per_year
>WOW SUCH RADICAL CHANGE.
>When will you fucking shills realize that all these parties are the exact same?

>Welp, better not vote at all so it doesn't even go down at all.

If you are that assy about giving out a vote, put him 4-5 on your ballot. He's still way better than Chong and O'Leary.

>I'm starting to wonder if people will look past leitch's screechy voice...

Even if she doesn't win it sends a message to the party if she is 2nd or 3rd.

You can either have Bernier and Harper-level immigration or Trudeau and Germany-refugee-crisis-tier immigration

>NDP become official opposition again
That would be a nice kick in Trudeau's teeth.

I mean, she sounds like a bitch, but maybe people will look past it and just see her ideas are correct. Canadians aren't happy with Syrians the like no matter what CBC says.

poll.forumresearch.com/post/2695/conservatives-inch-ahead/

Oh lawd. The LPC is polling lower than the CPC right now and they don't even have a leader yet.

>YFW he loses his seat

>No leader
>Ahead of pretty boy

Beautiful

Preserve protectionist policies such as Supply Management, and take the opportunity to brand the conservative party as the anti-immigrant party!

Vote Kelly to vote anti-immigrant.

Max says he wants to keep the immigration number at 250k instead of lowering it which is the same its been for over a decade. Degeneracy.

ALSO check out CBC race baiting Kelly Leitch
Starts at 3:50
youtu.be/kBHK4WWDdq4?t=3m50s

Dude, 250k IS lowering it from the 300k the LPC is implementing. Kellie Leitch, despite it being her main talking point, has NEVER mentioned lowering it from the 300k. Her immigration platform is worse than Bernier's.

This isn't particularly surprising, as the lack of a leader means a lack of someone for the media to character assassinate.

It's a lot easier to tear down a person than tear down good principles. It's the same reason Left parties put up people like Trudeau or Obama — because it's a lot easier to lionize a person than convince people of positions without principles.

I don't mean to sound like doomsayer, but expect your media to get very personal and very negative with whoever is made leader.

Bernier is pretty good at interviews. He has the stereotypical Quebecer accent, but he deflects loaded questions well.

youtube.com/watch?v=ADi5rshBi1g

>is implementing
LEL
No it is leaving the immigration number untouched. As far as our reality is concerned 250k is the highest its been and he's keeping it that way.

Kelly has said immigration will be lowered than it is now at the 250k mark. Possibly much lower.

huffingtonpost.ca/2017/02/02/kellie-leitch-refugees-immigrants-canadian-values_n_14578390.html

our media the CBC treats every PC leader contender with respect except Kelly Leitch and doesn't even let her on and instead has actors play her to make her look dumb.
CBC is extremely liberal.
Who liberals hate most is a good clue who to vote for if you are anti immigration.
She is effectively branded as the anti-immigration Trump tier candidate and her winning would thus brand the CPC party as such.

Max or Kevin Oleary winning would mean nothing. The best we can expect from Max is just keeping the immigration number we have now? Yeah thanks Max. I wonder why that doesn't excite me.

thestar.com/news/immigration/2016/03/08/immigration-plan-seeks-to-bring-more-than-300k-newcomers-this-year.html

I checked her campaign website. Unless I missed it, I didn't see a damn thing about reducing immigration rates.

250k isn't reducing anything. 250k is the problem we've been having.
If kelly simply said " im going to keep the immigration rate we've been having " then that would be so cuck and she wouldnt be known as the anti immigration candidate.

why does it take so long for Canada to elect an opposition leader.

Here, the caucus meets and it is done with usually in one day

He did give Trudeau shit and called him out for not being very Canadian tho. That's always fun.

Can we put Bernier as 2nd and 3rd?

I think the high number to more to get Canadians to go, "OH shit we let in that many immigrants? Quarter of a million, and we previously let in more than that?"

Best thing to do is hold him to them, and accountable, and remind him constantly. Loudly if possible. Alot of voters are really passive and think after voting, that is enough.

Lot of old people to get the news to i suppose

She is known as the "anti-immigrant" candidate because she wants to ask them:
>Are men and woman equal, and entitled to equal protection under the law?
>Is it ever OK to coerce or use violence against an individual or a group who disagrees with your views?
>Do you recognize that to have a good life in Canada you will need to work hard to provide for yourself and your family, and that you can't expect to have things you want given to you?
And that was enough for her to be branded as "racist" and "anti-immigrant". The only reason Bernier doesn't have the same bullshit thrown at him is because it's not the only part of his platform that he talks about. Supply management, firearm laws, interprovincial trade and transfer payments end up taking up a lot of the discussion time.

>Can we put Bernier as 2nd and 3rd?
If you didn't put him as 1st, yeah.

They're all progressive anyways... even our conservative party members are progressive.. there is little to no point in voting at all..

Depressing as fuck.

There's a socially conservative candidate, though there's no way he's winning.

On the bring side, Bernier has repeatedly stated that he wants to allow MP's to talk about whatever issues they/their constituents hold dear, even if it's some sort of "taboo" subject like abortion or whatever.

>canadian elections are almost always won with less than a majority
>but to be a leader you need a majority of the party supporting you

No, I'm planning to...

So its midnight now, I assume today 28th is the last day to register?

I still want to know about this since I do not have a CC of my own, and need to know if I can use someone elses to pay the membership fees.
>3. The funds I am donating are from me and are not being provided by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

Tearing down economic protectionist policies is actually as globalism as it gets if you aren't aware.
We would have so many more crown corporations if not for provincial and federal conservatives constantly privatizing them and letting them get taken over by the u.s or some other foreign business.

The free market does not serve ethnic nationalist interests.

I just looked at this Bernier persons website.. he supports 250k immigrants per year...

>dropped.

He's not a fucking conservative.

Such strict rules are in place to help stop things like this happening where liberals try to en mass join the CPC in order to stop a candidate they hate the most and in this case that's Kelly Leitch

Notice how liberals tolerate Max? Cause libertarians are only a threat to economic leftism but similar to us National Socialists they care more about identity politics than economics.
As such they will vote against someone they perceive as a greater threat to immigration than someone who is a greater threat to economics.

cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/conservative-vote-1.3963530

Well if your going to be a single issue voter like that, then don't vote, your more harm than good, no one else is even talking about his kind of reduction, and if we put him in, we can try to get him to lower the numbers more.

A "majority" government in Canada is one with 40+% of the ridings, as that's enough to force whatever bills you want through parliament.

You have until 17:00 Eastern time to join. Again, call them to ask about the CC situation. They'll know better than some shmuck on 4chins.

So you prefer the other candidates who are fine with 300+k per year?

Getting rid of corporatism will greatly benefit Canadians. Or do you enjoy paying out the ass for milk/eggs/chicken/beef/pork/maple/grains? Because right now the price increase caused by the lack of domestic competition due to supply management (not to mention the massive amounts of wasted production because they don't have enough quotas for the amount they produced) that we're getting to the point where China is able to produce their milk and ship it across the fucking ocean for cheaper. I, for one, would rather use domestically grown produce without going broke and watching the farms go bankrupt and be purchased by foreign nationals anyway.

Canada is honestly fucked entirely. Our most conservative party SUPPORTS 250k immigrants PER YEAR. Our country only has a population of 31 million for fuck sakes. These people come in, collect government hand outs, and then have 13 kids.

There will be Shariah law in under 20 years if this shit keeps up..

>17:00 Eastern time
We need to do more, than just vote, we need to get other canadians informed, and against large scale immigration, Hell if we can get it down to 100k I'll be happy enough. If we can get it down to 10k I'd be overjoyed

Yes I do accept paying more to buy Canadian. Do you truly have to ask that?
You people are so lost in your rampant individualism that you simply have to have your own individual satisfied before anything greater than yourself.
In this case you prefer theoretically paying less and being indifferent to where the product came from, to paying more so you can support Canadian business.

>you prefer theoretically paying less and being indifferent to where the product came from
I'm indifferent on which CANADIAN farm produces my eggs. I ABSOLUTELY care which country it's from.

Guess how many foods I purchase that are made in China. Fucking guess. I read every fucking food label and who made it and where it's from.

>I ABSOLUTELY care which country it's from.
>that's why I want to open the market more so foreign business can compete on a more even playing field with our own farmers, and if they cant compete then thats the free market they can be replaced with americans and other foreigners we will have a cheaper price.

Lower cost Canadian goods makes Canadian goods MORE competitive, not less.

Supply management does FUCKALL to prevent China from purchasing Agropur or some shit.

Yes it does. It ensures our farmers are taken care of first. Tariffs and other means ensure imports are unable to be more competitive than our own goods first.

>Yes it does. It ensures our farmers are taken care of first.
Explain how forcing farms to purchase production quotas prevents China from purchasing a Canadian farm. I'll wait.

>You have until 17:00 Eastern time to join. Again, call them to ask about the CC situation. They'll know better than some shmuck on 4chins.

Yeah I should thought of that in hindsight, thanks for shouting some sense into my ear. I'll call em at first light.

Explain how ending tariffs on imports won't further globalize our agr industry

Godspeed, user.

Ending tariffs on imports is a bargaining chip. Do you not understand that trade deals are negotiated? Our agricultural production potential is immense and we're holding it back so that a handful of corporations who heavily lobby the government can maintain a near monopoly on production and squeeze every red cent out of Canadian wallets while leaving said products significantly uncompetitive with foreign products. The two issues are linked and you keep thinking of them separately.

Our ag potential is indeed immense. We should be supporting our farmers even more than now, allocating them loans more easily, creating work camps of laborers that we can send to go work with them to help with mass expansion, and then we will be able to fuel massive birthrates that other coinciding programs will be instigating.

If Canada only had 31 million people you'd be a lot better off since you'd be 87% white.

Canada has 36 million people now, it had 31 million like a decade ago.

The white population of 27 million is pressured on multiple sides and is only increasing due to immigration, and even then not by much.

Government choosing winners and losers in the agriculture business only leads to fucked up prices like those we already see. Reduce barriers of entry to Canadian farms will allow greater competition among Canadian farms. New agricultural technologies will be developed. We'll have more produce at cheaper prices and we will be able to sell surplus to other nations and enrich the country. There's no fucking way we'll be able to increase our GDP growth rate without it being a giant fucking bubble if we just keep using the government like a big fucking hammer to fix all our problems. Not all problems are nails and not all problems are solvable with a fucking hammer.

Take your head out of 1930's Germany for a few seconds, Jesus Christ.

SEE:

>since I've lost 5 wallets in the past.

Oh, I have a solution for that: TRY BEING FUCKING RESPONSIBLE.

This is indeed such a ridiculous contradiction with people who believe in libertarian tier thinking.
So a problem is that rich people are greedy, and a situation of greed is taking place due to a monopoly allowing it to happen- so the fix to rich greed is freer more globalized markets and less controls on the rich.

I actually trust the Canadian business owner and don't see them as greedy and in fact will support them even more.

Cheaper prices will be obtained via autarky- not globalism. National Socialist Germany sacrificed the diverse amount of goods but raised real wages and lowered prices going the autarky route.

I will easily sacrifice exotic , diverse products as we go the autarky route.

>In January 2011, Bains claimed that the Bloc Québecois was using "the politics of fear" and argued against their attempt to ban the ceremonial Sikh kirpan from the parliamentary buildings after an incident in which the Quebec National Assembly denied entry to a group of four kirpan-weaing Sikhs.

I can't help but feel this shitskin just hates whites

JOIN AND VOTE, GET THIS DONE

YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO COMPLAIN IF YOU DON'T JOIN AND VOTE

Top 5 choices outside of Max? Anyone?
in no particular order:
Erin O'Toole
Andrew Scheer
Steven Blaney
Deepak Obhrai

5 wallets over the course of 15 years.

Why do leftists never shut up then?

Corporatism CANNOT EXIST without a government to lobby. It's a feedback loop. More government intervention increases the wealth of those exerting influence over the government, thereby giving them more pull, so the government further tips the scales.

I've BEEN volunteering. Every CPC here in Winnipeg is voting Kelly Leitch as far as I'm concerned. Plus she was born here so she has some extra support just for that.

theglobeandmail.com/news/national/winnipeg-mayor-calls-summit-as-city-tries-to-shake-most-racist-label/article26001779/

Yeah, and where do you actually vote?

Every fucking time I've asked this I haven't received an answer. I can't find an answer on any websites. I can't find an answer asking people - where the flying fuck do you actually VOTE?

You receive a ballot in the mail late April. You either send it in by mail or go to a local polling station.

Corporatism can definitely exist indifferent to government aid. Globalist corporatism must be avoided by all means.

Corporatism when under the subordination of the state can be very powerful and a good thing.

I think u get some mail, and you check some boxes, fill it out, then send it back?

Or travel to either Toronoto or Ottawa to vote at their polling station?

These are just shills. They always work the same angle and follow the same scripts.

Have you seen any other criticism of bernier? No? That's because the shills don't have anything else on their script yet.

And a very corrupting influence in government, unless strict laws are in place to prevent money buying off or funding individuals.

I feel like its more of a chance to inform Canadians passing by in the thread, or lurking.

You still haven't explained how supply management prevents Chinese companies from buying Canadian farms, but here's another question for you to not answer: How the hell does corporatism exist without government intervention in the market?

Well I think it's obvious that I'm a national socialist so it goes beyond strict laws but one party domination including sanctioned party members in monitoring roles over most relevant industry and unions. So it's not their corrupting influence on us but our influence on them.

Why would taking down supply management prevent that either? Our farmers would charge much more for sales of their monopoly positions now than if supply management was lost. The position they are in is a privileged unfair one as far as the international market is concerned.

How the fuck does this work? I want to vote, but I have no idea where to do it?

Are you trying to be obtuse? I've been saying this whole time that supply management has nothing to do with foreign takeover of Canadian farms. That's an entirely different field of law. Foreign ownership laws are completely separate from production quotas. The only way they are linked is that our agricultural industry is less competitive because the artificial monopoly created by corporatism allows them to arbitrarily raise prices. They are trying to maintain profits at peak levels by screwing Canadians.

If you're a national socialist, you'd be much better served joining the NDP, the LPC or another, smaller party that more closely lines up with your political philosophy. Trying to force ethnic NatSoc through via the CPC is going to crash the country with no survivors.

Join the CPC (I suggest doing so via the website of the candidate you support). As long as you do it before 17:00 EST today, you'll receive a ballot in the mail next month that you either send in via mail or go to a local polling station.

I am the same type of voter in the rust belt who swapped parties to vote Trump, as I am the same type of voter to swap parties to vote Kelly.

Economics serve the goal of preserving the race and nation- not the individual.

The only reason to even entertain the idea of removing supply management is to in its place enforce the same tariffs on imports it currently enforces.

So you complain about outsiders joining the CPC to vote against Leitch even though you're an outsider yourself. Do you realize how fucking hypocritical that is?

It's important to observers in making their decision as many here on this website are strictly anti-immigration to know who is the anti immigration candidate. This helps paint that picture when they see who liberals hate the most.

Whatever level of hypocrisy is involved is not an argument.

That's 2pm if your on the west coast.

Go here:
donate.conservative.ca/membership
Click one year, fill out the forms, and make sure you put the correct address or the mail ballot won't be sent to the right place.

When you recive the ballot I think there is some more filling out, and then you pick your top 3 candidates, from the 1 you want to win the most to the least. Its weighted vote so the one you want to win the most should get the highest ranking, with the 2nd and 3rd as a runner up, and someone you like enough to put on there.

But you blindly ignore the candidate with the best immigration policy because they aren't "Muh Canadian Trump" or from your province.

Just did it, thanks.
Let's go, Mad Max!

fuck mad max and fuck (((conservative))) people

Max is a shill if he doesn't change that 250k bullshit.

Absolutely ridiculous.
