What does Sup Forums think of the 2000s? Everyone talks about the 90s, and everyone talks about the 10s, but the 00s kinda get lost in the shuffle?

In my eyes:
2000-mid 2006 Awesome
Late 2006-2009 Sucked

Simples.

dude nobody cares

9/11 was fucking crazy

hating and making fun of muslims was acceptable

90s/00s are part of the same sanitized globalist era, but still retaining more aspects of old American culture and society.

The 1980s were part of this too. People look back on them fondly but the rot was accelerating exponentially and people were digging themselves in their own comfy bubbles while the game was set up.

Samurai Jack? Ed Edd n Eddy? come on man.

>imbling that the hate then was anywhere near as rabid as the hate now

Everything is nice when you are a child.

Meh, the thousands really only lasted from 03'-07' in terms of culture. It doesn't help that the bookends for the decade are 9/11 and the 07'-08' financial crisis.

Ed Edd 'n Eddy is 90's and so was PPG.

That show with the blonde girl with braces I whacked it too numerous times.

The 2000s was a short decade, started in 2000 and ended in 2007.

Actually the 2000s ended in late 2006 when Malcolm in the Middle ended, the Democrats gained control of Congress, Pluto stopped being a planet, The WB changed to The CW, etc.

Early 2000's were where all quality died and rampant cynicism and cultural Marxism began to blossom, in the background was this redneck romanticizing because of the Bush media. Totally painted America as a fucking dipshit country, and in a way we were for allowing the Patriot Act. Things seemed innocent until the cool jive talking years of Obama where the media shifted to ghetto romanticizing, and the white kids with big dreams embodied a sort of hipster philosophy where the world needed to bow down to the individual for being a virtue signaling faggot. Now we're weeding the bad roots but they're so deeply entrenched it feels like there's no hope. Probably because we have no inspirational and medium pushing art. Everything is just a nostalgia rehash.

This isn't just an American problem. We are all equally pathetic and it's time to kill our culture brutally and shamelessly.

The rise of affordable smartphones, tablets and social media had more impact.

this

yeah Sup Forums that's great muh nostalgia muh cartoons, I liked dubbed digimon too
fuck off though

ok

most of the shit people talk about the 90's is actually early 2k

Everything went downhill with smartphones/the iphone (2007)

Who's the semon demon in the bottom right corner?

All I remember is using XDCC and limewire at the time.

i want my young teeny bop britney spears back so i can go back to imagining her snuggling up to me and me protecting her

Braceface

Post 1950s is cancer, no exceptions.

Everything went to shit when Austin and The Rock left.

I don't really think any one era was worth a damn. Golden times tend to be met with rose tinted glasses or exist from people that never lived back then.

Consider this. I'm taking a shit and typing this to a bunch of assholes from all around the world. With a few button presses I can be watching any movie or tv show I want. I can listen to or even interact with artists that wouldn't be possible without the internet.

Yet, we think we live in a shit period because we realize that the media is corrupt (always has been), that politicians are evil (always have been) and that governments conspire to spy on and manipulate its population (always have).

And, in the midst of all of the beautiful shit around us, we find nothing but the bad.

Because we are spoiled from our own opulence. We actually think that our lives are bad.

Do you know what people in the 50s who didn't have the life that 1 in 100 Americans actually had? They put on a smile like everyone else and hated their life. The difference between then and now? The thing we could be bettering our lives with is spent finding others just as miserable as ourselves so we can feel like we fit in... somewhere.

But that's just it. We're such a wide spread and different group of people that we wouldn't really get along that well in the real world. We wouldn't hang out. We wouldn't go see a movie together. We might meme together like with HWNDU but outside of that? Not a chance. Not because we couldn't be friends but because we can't be friends. We can't be friends because it would ruin our own world views. Look at how diverse the HWNDU crowd was. It's fine when we have any enemy. Scientology? Yep. We'll stand together then.

But by ourselves? Nah.

Thanks for keeping Zim out of that cringe-worthy collage.

It was sort of quaint, even the 9/11 and NASTY TURURIST shit was sort of ignorable. Like, you'd watch some desert shithole bombed on CNN but it wouldnt impact your life in the slightest.

It was also leftist as fuck here, muh EU memebership, debt spending and pretending we are richfags, first flatscreens, DVD players, internet becoming a thing, first smartphones etc.

Then we had a little redpill party in 2006 and the recession hit in 2007 so yeah, it was a short decade for us.

>2000-mid 2006 Awesome

Yes, but the 90s top tier.

OP is timewaste shill.

Went to shit when WWF became WWE.

>Everything was better when I was 10 years old.

>hot scene girls are just about extinct now

9/11, terrible music, awful fashion, myspace, financial collapse, government bailouts that forever proved to the world that the usa is a socialist shit hole. the 2000s was the worst decade since 1930

Early 2000s is awkward to say.

There was some great shit throughout the 00's mixed up with a LOT of bad.

GAY FAGGOT pic, user.

Is that her name?

I think culturally speaking 60s-80s would have been interesting to live in.

Degenerate

Kill the shill

underrated

Long ago the 4 continents and 3 zoos lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the mudslimes attack. Only the US president, the most powerful man in the world, could stop them, but when the world needed him the most, he became black. 8 years passed and my brother and I voted for the new president, an orange man named Donald Trump. And although his skills are huge, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Trump can save the world.

>tfw when faggots on Sup Forums now have nostalgia for the 2000s
