Is Obama Care Shit?

Why is Obama care shit? Tell me why? I never really had any trouble using it, so I want to see from your guy's point of view why you hated it.

You probably don't give two shits but it saved my mother's life when she had cancer and it prevented insurance companies from ripping me off.

For the sole reason that it is through the government. See we want the government to not do much and let states do their thing.

Its trying to fix a broken system. Only insurance companies profit from it.

Its shit for several reasons and it will fail for several reasons but 1 big one is Death Spirals.

The problem with Obamacare is that it allows people with no insurance, or with insurance, to switch with no penalty. you simply have to wait until open enrollment. The lack of cost creates high risk pools, which in turn leads to death spirals. So good job Obama, you just provided a perfect way to collapse your own system (which was planned in order to move to single payer)

It's only shit in the red states, because those places are full of fuck heads and rural and suburban retards who are unable to contribute to the system in any meaningful way and as a result are left with no choice but to abuse it, which forces everyone else to pay a higher price and to an eventual collapse of the system.

In the blue states, which are full of ultra high IQ, highly educated, very responsible, extremely aesthetic productive members of society, the system is literally flawless.

The red states aren't really American. It's kind of like how Greece and Turkey aren't really European.

Since when is it legal for the government to force you to buy a product?

It took a bad system and made it worse.
The major issue with the health insurance in USA was cost and the preexisting condition issues.
The preexisting conditions could have been solved by a combination of "grace period" sign ups and a government program to handle the basket case people(cancer).
The cost aspect turned out to be less of an issue. Because after Obamacare became law prices skyrocketed and benefits decreased(except for birth control). So people never knew how good they had it.
How to fix it? Address the problems with individual solutions using the market to handle the bulk of the people and dish the basket cases off to governmental programs. Simply put some health problems are just too expensive for anyone to come up with a profitable solution.
Preexisting conditions could have grace period signup after that you are in your own again. A public low cost option to keep coverage through a job loss would cover those issues.
I just single payer to be pushed off as long as possible but it is inevitable.

i love you (no homo)

>inb4 "muh auto insurance"

the government cannot force you to buy auto insurance without you making the free choice to actually purchase a vehicle and drive it on public roads.

...

A FUCKING LEAF

Look I'm Shia's father and I hate you faggots. My son came out as gay and I told him I didn't want him living under my roof anymore. He moved in with his Jaiden and he's dead to me. But I have no shame in saying that I visit Sup Forums escorts and have blown my load many times in their tight asses. I even have a couple of beautiful Alt -lighters who do dom work and they throatfuck me, let me rim their holes and come all over my face. This has nothing to do with being divided. They are women with penises. The penis itself is not male, it's attached to a woman.

A FLAG IS A PIECE OF TROPHY ! A piece of my flag does not affect my sexuality. Do you let someone call you a pervert if your penis touches a pork chop? No. It wouldn't mean you were a porcinesexual.

A penis is flesh. A beautiful lady having a different shape of flesh will not change my sexuality. No matter how many of them I let inside me or how many I beg for their seed. I don't need to be called gay by narrow minded busybodies. How come this concern for policing sexuality only happens to straight men.

For sake of fuck, DO YOU REALLY THINK JAIDEN SMITH WAS IN HOUSES IN LONDON HAVING SEX WITH LADYBOYS he could afford it but no he was a gay he liked men he would never be with a transgoddess because he realised they were women. Maybe if he would have avoided all gay activity and stayed with traps he would still be with us today, the dirty faggot God rest his soul. I will not be divided , my son is your god , long live the LeBoufs

It's working for me. I live in California though.

It's only shit in the red states, because those places are full of """urban""" retards who are unable to contribute to the system in any meaningful way and as a result are left with no choice but to abuse it, which forces everyone else to pay a higher price and to an eventual collapse of the system.

In the red states, which are full of decent IQ, responsible, productive members of society, the system is acceptable.
May specific parts of the blue states, which I will not specify, aren't really American. It's kind of like how Egypt isn't really African. But, you know, the opposite of that.

costs going up, all you get is shitty treatment unless you're on the gold plan paying out $230+ a month.

Oh, and you get a fine if you don't use it

health insurance is not health care.

>I want to see from your guy's point of view why you hated it.

My (second) biggest issue with Obamacare is that it subsidizes older, more wealthy people at the expense of younger, less wealthy people. It encourages young people to work less to qualify for government subsidies (always funny when people tell you they can't work full time or they'd lose their gibs). Once people are stuck working part time (or not at all) to have benefits you start having entire communities reliant on these programs (think any black community) which leads to a culture of people who both don't work and don't try to better themselves.

Beyond that I have a moral issue with the government forcing you to buy a private industry's product.
Also the government guaranteeing these industries will be profitable in the event that something goes wrong
Also again

It was made by the federal government.

Seriously, can we just follow proper procedure, obey the Constitution, and let the states handle healthcare? Is that so hard?

Insurance companies can rip people off, with Obama care it's illegal for them to pay 20% of what the insurance company is payed on the CEO's salary instead of the people.

It's not, but the Obamacare makes it illegal for Insurance companies to rip you off.

Obamacare hurt a lot of people though, for many premiums went through the roof, many couldn't keep their healthcare plan, and it forced a fine on everyone who didn't take healthcare.

the government forcing you to pay them for your own health is really bad though.

There's nothing in the constitution about healthcare.

>"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

That's literally his point. The constitution outlines everything that the federal government is allowed to do and leaves everything else to the states

Proofs?

Didn't hurt me though, and saved my mother's life. But I do feel bad about people who got hurt by it, hopefully it gets better.

you dont technically need to ever have a car. it's not a requirement of life and auto insurance effects you AND the people you hit/hit you. Its an extra cost to car ownership to make up for the fact that 60% of retards on the road shouldn't even be there in the first place fucking it up for everyone else. getting a fine because i was simply alive for a year without insurance is fucking dumb. if i dont want to pay auto insurance for a year i can just suspend mine and use different means of travel.

If you lost your healthcare to Obamacare, you had scam insurance.

> or to the people.
The people elected Obama and the democrats specifically to do this. The people spoke. Also, the constitution explicitly allows the federal government to regulate interstate commerce. And the constitutionality of the ACA has been tested before the Supreme Court. It's legal.

Obamacare really REALLY sucks in pennsylvania. Just seeing people I've known my entire life have their futures ruined because they're suddenly paying an extra 10k per year when they already just barely had their shit together is bad enough, but then there's people who can't even get a job now because of this shit.

Oh hey, look. Look what happened to this state that consistently voted dem in presidential elections for decades!

...

By the supply side, Obamacare reduce the insurance competition between states, only let trade with FDA-approved medicaments and avoid price transparency.
By the demand side, establishes common health saving accounts, which make the perverse incentive of hiring more expensive insurance (that in most cases they don't need) at the expense of other individuals' taxes.
All of this cause the high insurance price rise.

>The people elected Obama and the democrats specifically to do this. The people spoke.
The people are not allowed to break the Constitution either.

>And the constitutionality of the ACA has been tested before the Supreme Court. It's legal.
And the blatant activism of the Supreme Court is a major problem that we'll have to deal with.

Shall any American tell me if I'm right?

Just because nobody has followed the constitution since emancipation doesn't make it a good thing

Obamacare is only great if you like being dependent on the federal govt. For those of us who prefer freedom, it's a nightmare. Made my private insurance so expensive I had to cancel it. Now I have to pay a $700 fine for not having something I can't afford, all thanks to Obamacare.

And I'm really tired of this bullshit accusation that hating obamacare somehow means I don't care about sick people, so you can GFY on that one.

Let me greentext your greentext again
>"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
>Or to the people
The people spoke. And also, commerce clause. Read the constitution nigger.

>And the blatant activism of the Supreme Court is a major problem that we'll have to deal with.
So the majority conservative supreme court upheld a law that is universally denounced by conservatives. Likely story. But I'm sure you have a better understanding of the constitution than the greatest legal minds in the country.

We've done pretty well for ourselves since the emancipation, so I'd say it's a pretty good thing.

>can't afford
There are subsides for that.

>The people spoke
The people are allowed to form their own healthcare if they choose to, but the federal government is not allowed to do it as it is not within their power to do so. Also the commerce clause only applies to interstate commerce.

>So the majority conservative supreme court upheld a law that is universally denounced by conservatives. Likely story
I never said conservative, I said activist. Take off your partisan glasses for once in your life.

Commerce clause, and they were able to show a compelling interest.

Not having insurance fucks up everyone else who does, it fucks up insurers, hospitals, etc.

It is effectively damaging the country when large numbers of people are uninsured. It's called personal responsibility.

My premium went from $200 a month for my wife and I to $600 a month, and my deductible went from $2500 to $10,000

But hey, at least my glasses are covered now!

Fucking Obama

You don't seem to understand what the ACA does. The government did not form an insurance provider.

10,000 deductible. False. That's much higher than the legal maximum deductible under the ACA lol.

Nice try, bubba.

A huge amount of the opposition is based on ignorance.

Sure, it's not profitable but it still deals with the people that can't get insurance any other way.

For the first time in my life, I had to cancel my insurance because I couldn't afford it. It actually costs me less to pay for my meds at full price without a premium.

People talking up subsidies don't seem to recognize that subsidies are funded by tax dollars. Instead of your premiums going up, your taxes go up to pay for subsidies. You're subsidizing yourself. So even if your premiums stay the same it's still costing you more. Plus I hate that I'm required to fund other people's insurance through fines, so why would I then force others to do that for me?

...

Yes. That is how taxes work. Good job. And because you are paying taxes, you are entitled to the benefits of that taxation.

>Plus I hate that I'm required to fund other people's insurance through fines
>And I'm really tired of this bullshit accusation that hating obamacare somehow means I don't care about sick people

The problem isn't that you don't care about sick people, the problem is that you think a potential slight increase in your taxes and personal spite outweigh all the good the program has done for so many people.

It's also hurt many people by making their insurance so expensive that they had to cancel. Where's the sympathy for them? Start a charity if you want to help people. That's not the government's job and it's certainly not mine.

You're too proud to use the provided subsidy, therefore other people should die? And I should have sympathy for you? The government's job is whatever the people say it is. The government exists to serve it's citizenry. The citizenry voted for this. If you don't like it, well, suck it up buttercup your feelings don't matter.
