The difference between communism and capitalism is one dictates price by supply/demand one dictates price as assessed value, In communist Russia they made tractors, thousands more than they needed, to keep the people working, they ended up selling said units $ per pound because they had no value to the world, but still kept making them. Supply/demand is less wasteful, and more efficient, as your time in making said product adds value whereas a tractor you built(thousands of man hours) is worth only a few cents more than it's weight in scrap.
