I grew up there. I know what I'm talking about. KY state politics are a disaster of corruption. I am glad that Matt Bevin is gov, but Louisville is full of ultra butthurt losers who whine about him constantly.

KY produces Thomas Massie and Rand Paul, both of whom are top tier. But most of the state is run badly by bad people.

the geography and history of KY is really something beautiful, and you should definitely check it out if you haven't. It'd be a great place if most of the people disappeared.

if you want to try KY, rural KY is the way to go. Check out landwatch.com properties in KY. Beautiful, huge properties with epic forests, natural creeks, working pre-industrial oil wells, etc, for tiny money. The geography if the state is just fantastic.

Problem is, its liberals and googles in town, and you've got lots of whites who have given up and are slutty drug addicts outside of towns. Very sad.

Kentucky is Conserative everywhere EXCEPT Louisville, Lexington, and most of Bowling Green. If you look on the 2016 election map, the only blue areas are Louisville and Lexington. Louisville right now is pretty pitiful, with the rise in crime, busing policy, corruption in JCPS and more. Outside of the big cities, it's quite comfy and friendly. (Really cheap land too!)

Depends, it's not as bad as Louisville (trust me, I live here), but it can still be quite liberal at times. When I go hunting in southern Kentucky, land and towns are spread far, but the people are always friendly. The main problems with Kentucky is the drug epidemic and lack of morals. Louisville and Lexington may be shit, but they bring in the money.

Ky isn't the south. Isn't the north. It's right in the middle and was spilt during the civil war. Eastern Kentucky with the Appalachian people give it a bad rap.
