I think it would be hard to get people who already had confidence and self-esteem issues to get off the porn addiction. They'd have to go through multiple training courses like cooking classes and recreational activities that gives them a chance to live.

Porn has been a very negative influence on my life up until recently. I've basically been wanking twice a day (on average I reckon) to ever more depraved pornography for over ten years at this point. Destroyed my self esteem, my ability to be intimate and open with friends and family and no doubt did a number on my brain and hormones too. One day I just woke up and the shame of it all hit me at once. I couldn't believe how bad it had gotten. It's like it had blinded me the entire time to how bad it was and then all of a sudden the veil was lifted and 10 years of self-abuse hit me in the face.
I stopped cold turkey. Now I basically just masturbate when and only when I really have to. After 3 or 4 days I get really almost violently horny. I just find a quiet moment and bust a nut thinking about whatever girl I like or past conquest I wanna remember. It feels 10 times better than porn wanks ever did. A great nut and then absolutely no shame or guilt... Just a deep satisfaction that I've taken care of a biological need in a healthy way.
It's not too late to stop. The damage is totally reparable. I'd recommend you do what I did at least for a couple of months and see how you feel. I'd completely forgotten what it was like to approach the world in an honest and open way because I wasn't in secret shame for all the dirty shit I was beating it too. I didn't know at the time but now it's night and day. It feels great.
