This post floated here a few weeks ago from an Intel employee claiming that Intel was making exploitable hardware backdoors so the government could spy on citizens, bypassing any software protections.
Apple released a statement on their iOS exploit fix, which is very rare for them to do.
>Wi-Fi >Available for: iPhone 5 and later, iPad 4th generation and later, iPod touch 6th generation and later >Impact: An attacker within range may be able to execute arbitrary code on the Wi-Fi chip >Description: A stack buffer overflow was addressed through improved input validation. >CVE-2017-6975: Gal Beniamini of Google Project Zero support.apple.com/en-us/HT207688
Notice: "An attacker within range may be able to execute arbitrary code on the Wi-Fi chip"
Apple has begun using Intel wifi chips in their iPhones, which have been known to be exploitable and insecure.
If true, this means the CIA/any org has complete and total access to intercepting any Wi-Fi communications on the phone, and running scripts on the Wi-Fi chip (potentially bugging the microphone and uploading data to outside servers).
These types of events would be untraceable by the actual iOS software.

So many shills trying to deny/deflect the fact that Intels ME can and will give backdoor access
This conspiracy theory is flimsy. The evidence is scant. Don't believe anonymous posts on Sup Forums all the time

>Thank you jews for being such wonderful people! This. I mean, really. Why do we put up with these people and their semitic cousins bringing their ancient hatreds into our nations? We don't have to, you know.
Aiden Cox
It's not just on here, AMD has this service for remote access to help customers with "problems". Google "Intel Management Engine" and see for yourself, in theory the screenshot is correct, it can act as a backdoor, it cannot be disabled by the user either. Why can't you disable this feature if it's just for customer support?

That piece of software has been co-opted by a transsexual transfeminist. He/she/it even broke away from the Free Software Foundation due to stupid identity politics.
All the devs have since moved to LibreCore. Libreboot is obsolete.

Yes, the Sup Forums navy is on island time.

Hardware backdoor needs firmware to utilise it.

The only thing that is safe is a specific motherboard from this obscure company that mostly sold to the government. Even non-functional laptops go for thousands.

Trying to see if AMD is fucked and I think it is.
There's many ways they can deliver firmware, fuck TV's can have their firmware upgraded remotely via satellite, computers are fucked, especially since those recent wikileaks about the CIA using malware to cuck everyone's shit up.
Not to mention your average computer user is likely to buy a pre built machine with a shit load of software loaded on it already.
Scary man, I'm spooky spooked. Hold me.

At least we'll have a safe OS with no backdoor. Ian Murdock is keeping Debian free of guvment backdoors.
wait.... what?
Oh, he died under really weird circumstances at age 42. That's a shame.
Start using a Raspberry Pi, ARM shouldn't have this shit built into it?
Andrew Reyes
some of us choose to live in the [current century] not everyone likes living like sandniggers
the smart devices are not the problem. it's the jews that infiltrate and corrupt them
Charles Brooks
I have my doubts, if this was true how come the US government isn't overthrowing every shitty government, how come every American company isn't winning in innovation? I mean there's so much wrong that TCP/IP connectivity via any OS can have effect on computers. There's no fucking way in hell a PC can be instantly be working when is off, specially when its disconnected from any electric outlet.
If this was real a lot of shit will blow out of proportion.
Michael Bailey
>apple and intel im not surprised at all
Hunter Kelly
The processor in a Raspberry pi uses closed source firmware "blobs"... potential backdoor.

Really? For crying out loud... Why are they all so jewy?

This thread is for libertarians only. If you lean towards NatSoc then you would want/need this tech to keep track of degeneracy in your society.
The NatSoc argument for this existing is -hopefully the "right people" in government would be in control of this.

they do have more secure linux builds for it. There's a kali linux build

The claims made by "intel ME" can be made by literally anyone who's ever looked at a recent intel cpu spec sheet.
It's pretty much like stating "one can look through windows and the intelligence community makes use of this!"
Jeremiah Rodriguez
I run Kali on a live persistent USB, but still, you plug it into a machine that has this backdoor (every fucking machine) and (((they))) have access to.

Apple announced they are going to start making their own propertitary chips for their phones already.
Joseph Nguyen
Apple has made a strong marketing reputation for privacy and security, especially with their entire Touch ID having a dedicated chip and "secure enclave".
If Apple was knowingly putting exploitable chips in their device, it would be detrimental to their brand. This also might be why Apple has rejected putting Intel CPUs for their iPhones/iPads/MacBook Airs and decided to use their own ARM processors.
Levi Harris
My phone already has a RAT on it. I don't know how to get rid of it and I don't really give a fuck.
Kayden Ward
They already create their own processors, this exploit is within the Wi-Fi module, which has its own capability to run code/firmware updates.
Andrew Adams
Apple also prided itself on hard honest adult workers. Turns out they were using children in Chinese sweatshops and had suicide nets outside their factories.
I don't have a choice do I?
Josiah Diaz
To be fair, every technology manufacturer is outsourcing to Foxconn because of how conveniently cheap it is.
I believe their Mac Pro (stupid trashcan looking machine) was made in America.

You keep telling yourself that.

I didn't need confirmation from an Intel employee.

you'd have to be able to prove that they knowingly do it. if we're discussing topics like the fucking CIA / FBI / NSA then we probably arent going to get crystal clear prima facie.

Bluepilled fags can go back to /reddit/. When it came out Obama was spying on everyone with the NSA that should have been your confirmation eventhough some of us were trying to tell you years prior to that even.
Every single major corporation is in collusion with big government
Brayden Russell
>They just gonna end up doing everthything in house. >implying they would not be hit with NSA letter requiring them install backdoors in their chips. Well at least Intel would not be able to spy through iphones privetly lol.

yea best bet is to get a Chromebook C201 (uses a Rockwell processor - not Intel/AMD) get libreboot installed or coreboot and put a linux distro of your choosing on it, also dismantle and disconnect cam/microphone.
Don't buy one from that fucking tranny Libreboot's faggot essex based operation, fucking well overpriced.
Connor Baker
Yeah inside the management engine.
Interesting there was a big OS X update that eliminated some frameworks just a couple days ago.

There isnt a way to fight back. Everything is online now and it's all being synced to one network so they have access to literally everything. Smart TVs, cell phones, laptops, cars, CCTV, Amazon Echo shit, OnStar. It's all being used for surveillance. You csnt fight back because you can never have the knowledge of a 20 year electrical engineer from IBM and a 20 year software development security admin from Microsoft and a 20 year manufacturing specialist from Intel.
Varg Vikenes is right, the only solution is to reject all technology. Buy a car that's 20-30 years old. Stop using smart phones. Stop using the internet.
Capitalist kikes ruined everything that was good in this world for their own nefarious controlling agendas to oppress people.
