>President Trump signed a bill on Monday repealing internet privacy rules passed last year by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that would have given internet users greater control over what service providers can do with their data, a White House spokeswoman confirmed.
>The FCC regulations would have required broadband companies to get permission from their customers in order to use their “sensitive” data — including browsing history, geolocation and financial and medical information
It's not law just yet, it's his tax plan which creates new income baselines for taxation (basically changes the taxable income ranges). It basically reduces the taxes of the wealthiest Americans from 35% and 39.6% down to 33% but it increases the taxes of the middle class up to 33% too. Essentially, he's giving a tax cut to the wealthiest and a tax increase to middle class.
Think of it this way. In 2016 if you earned $190k you would be put into the 33% tax bracket but with Trump's tax plan you only have to earn $112k

UHHHHH CORRECT THE RECORD SHILL 0.2 CENTS GUESS I SHOULD HAVE VOTED FOR HILLARY SHARIABLUE CREW

This is 4DCHESS. Wait for it

It's not that bad, they still need an official warrant from a judge before the police can just barge in and demand for your personal data from an ISP, so even if you said "NO" it wouldn't have meant jack shit. And since the presumption of innocence still applies, no judge is going to authorize such a thing unless there's solid proof first, and even if he does that decision can be easily overruled and all the "proof" obtained declared void. So you're still entitled to your privacy and the ISP still can't release your personal information on a whim.
Isaiah Price
that wasn't in place yet. he didn't increase taxes he just prevented that eleventh hour obama era change from going into effect
Luke Flores
£20 says there will be a massive security breach at an american isp within the next 5 years and all millions of user's internet browsing history will be made public.
Parker Reyes
lmao it doesn't require a warrant at all and doesn't even involve the police. The ISP's can now sell American web browser history to private buyers
Daniel Mitchell
>The ISP's can now sell American web browser history to private buyers
Can I buy Trump/Ryan's history?
Mason Harris
How isn't he an establishment cunt again? >The Department of Housing and Urban Development on Friday reversed a scheduled 0.25 percent cut in mortgage insurance premiums issued by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). For a mortgage worth $200,000, this adds $500 to a homebuyer’s annual costs
John Foster
This is just naive. It's effectively a tax increase when you lower the bar required to enter a higher tax rate. As I said before, in 2016 you would have had to have earned at least $190k to enter to 33% tax bracket but under Trump's plan you only have to earn $112k. Under trump's tax plan the middle class are essentially subsidizing a tax cut for the wealthy
Nathaniel Foster
No they don't, they can sell vague statistics and analytic data for marketing.
Dylan Martinez
Why would he do this crap? I don't understand this. It was a massive uphill fight to get there only to do shit like this? He's giving free ammo to your average reddit shitstain to shit on him.
The data was aleady sold by literally everyone, but he didn't need to go out and make himself a target of this.
Michael Gonzalez
I'm not sure but Mark Cuban has already said he's going to purchase the web browser histories of Congress
Gabriel Murphy
you believed that? hhahahaahahahahah

Hi Shareblue. This is your 100th thread about this in the last 10 hours. It's a good thing no one buys into your bullshit. Cry me a river faggot. Perhaps all the furry porn in your history bothers you so much? Or perhaps it's your eternal astroturfing has ya worried. Get fucked faggot
Asher Green
*Leans in to mic*...WRONG
Under Trump's tax plan, NOBODY will be paying a higher effective tax rate overall. The picture shows the percentage reduction in the effective tax rate at each income level. The first thing you notice is that the percentage reduction is positive for everyone. You will notice at the tail end there is a small uptick (after a steep decrease from start of the x-axis). However, that tail end is an asymptote that never rises above the 36.88% level of the bottom 90% income earners. Nobody in the top 10% will have their taxes reduced by a greater percentage than anybody in the bottom 90%. And those in the bottom 90% will have their taxes reduced by a lot. So in sum, the middle class is not having their taxes increased by his proposed plan. In any case, this was not something that has been signed into law, let alone on the first day of his administration.
Juan Peterson
>being in this much denial
Dominic Gray
Yeah I do, because that's how privacy works smartass. That's also why Obongo requests for directly tapping in Trump's tower communication were denied and he had to do shit the stealthy way. But if you want to ride that conspiracy dick all the way up to your bowels be my guest.
The key word in your post is "scheduled". Since it was scheduled his actions didn't add those 500 dollars that were mentioned. It just made the price stay the same. did you reply to the wrong person? I was talking about something he shut down not a tax plan
Evan Ramirez
>I'm not sure but Mark Cuban has already said he's going to purchase the web browser histories of Congress
GOOD
Jeremiah Hill
The result is the same. The establishment wins and the people get fucked in the ass. Wake up.
Henry Harris
Are you trolling or what? I can explain to you how this was not "increasing taxes on the middle class" (and how the ramblings of this youtuber talking about 'republican tricks' is inaccurate), but it will take a few minutes for me to type up. Do you really need me to?
Eli King
they keep using the expression 'advertisements,' knowing full well that people who care about privacy can remove all ads easily
this is a way to legally gather and use information for non-mercantile purposes, specifically blackmail and destroying freedom of speech
the elites know that public shame is their strongest shield against truth, and they don't intend to give it up any longer

Define "better".
You would have gotten fucked either way. The only thing Hillary offered was some lube.
Jaxson White

>okay so let me get this straight hillary would have been better?
She was /our guy/. The donald was Trump's.
Caleb Stewart
stop being so melodramatic geez. it's not like this one change will outweigh all the other tax related changes that will be taking place over the next 4 years, god. Also, it's not like republicans were against the change for no reason. this Obama era change was disliked by republicans was because it lowered the funds the FHA had to handle mortage defaults. We had to bailout the FHA for about 2 billion dollars in 2013 and they argued that scheduled change would have increased the risk of another bailout happening.
Luke King
>Not understand how marginal income taxes work Yes, read the article carefully. What is says is that certain middle class people will 'end up in a higher tax bracket.' However, different portions of an individual's income is taxed at different rates. So when a middle class taxpayer 'ends up in a higher tax bracket,' all that means is that the rate that they pay for the tail end of their income will be higher than before. But, if the rate that they will be paying for the rest of their income (i.e. $0- $191,650) is now lower, they will be a lower amount of tax overall.
Hence, its not representative of someone's tax burden to just look at what the highest rate they pay is on a particular portion of their income (it could be that they only pay such a high rate on the last $10 of their income). The proper measure is to calculate the "effective tax rate" for each income level. When you do so, you will arrive at the graph that I posted.
Andrew Stewart
You have been gaslit. The fact that "net neutrality" was passed under the reign of king nigger Obama should have tipped you off. It's a racket to protect big corporations.
Hillary was corrupted but not nearly to the scale as Trump. Anyone with half a brain realised this as the election came to an end but because Trump rustled some liberal jimmies with his statements this board thought he was automatically going to be the greatest thing ever.
Cameron Nguyen
I would have gotten fucked either way because I live in Brazeel
I don't know, an american friend of mine told me trump has done a lot of bullshit and not a lot of good so far. He even told me trump's claiming what good obama did as his.
One thing's for sure, Trump's kind of an idiot, no one can deny that. I just hope my friend isn't entirely right.
Jack Nelson
>reversed position on TPP >now opposes it Holy shit, now that's an exaggeration. She carefully said there were "things" about the TPP, certain provisions or something, which she supposedly didn't like. She would have simply changed a few meaningless provisions and passed it.
How naive.
Brandon James
>Trump's kind of an idiot
he's a fucking moron.
Austin Kelly
God the delusion, I don't think there was a single liberal bullshit plan Hilary didn't agree on. She would've agree to sell her mother if that would've gotten her more votes, the very definition of a yesman. If Trump catchphrase was "wrong", Hilary's one was definitely "we will".
Oliver Morales
Still, if he had his mind set on the right place it could be good in some ways for america. At least they'll win in some things right? After all helping businesses is always beneficial to society.
Brayden Gray
Drumpf was worse, you can find him supporting every fucking position if you go through his twitter history, including saying Hillary would be great for president. Drumpf spent most of his life arguing for policies seemingly quite liberal.
>if only Trump was someone other than Trump
???
Tax cuts are good I'm sure some of his policies will be good for business. I don't know why he disbanded TPP. I don't know much about it but I thought TPP was about American hegemony for trade across the Pacific to counter China. As I said I don't know much about it. I would have been ok with his budget if he wasn't granting all the cuts made for a $50b increase in military spending. I don't know what's the deal with that
Cameron Cox
Who cares? Only terrorists, criminals and pedos dislike this.
Oliver Jackson
Agreed. All my liberal friends are asking me why i hate privacy and i have to explain that i don't blindly follow our president and agree with everything he does because i'm not a fucking lemming moron. they don't understand. they follow hillary without question.

You're fucking kidding right? Hillary would have continued to represent the status quo. Which meant left-leaning Democratic supporting incestuous propaganda outlets like Facebook would have continued selling your data without competition or opposition. Now that insidious privilege belongs to everybody. Enjoy.

You make it sound as if they all aren't already on fucking twitter. This had nothing to do with terrorists, privacy, or trump being the steaming pile of dogshit president he's been since day 1, and everything to do with those fat lobbyist checks the 50 republicans who voted this crap in carried to the bank so that Comcast can fuck us in the ass more than they already are. So go complain about sharieblue some more, because at the end of the day you are the biggest cuck of them all.
