I read Anthem
Does that count?

Everyone should read the ASOIAF book series by /ourguy/ GRRM at least once. It's very redpilled on poltiics AND blackpilled on death! xD

1984 Orwell

Of course not. Grow up dude FFS

Is it worth it? It's 1000 fucking pages

>reading Ayn Rand
>is it worth it?

hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha

War is a racket
Civil disobedience

pic is one of the books that changed me I reset myself.
What I call 'hardship' is nothing to what this man suffered. I'm poor, but I have food, a lovely home, a garden, kids are healthy, hot and cold water supply, heating.

Everyone should read this. pdf (free) link:

The pain is beyond anything I've experienced in my 50 years of life.
And I've experienced some shit.

TOO MUCH TRAIN AUTISM.
Literally a book for autistic people, couldn't keep reading it.

Why does every "modern" political thinker focus only on economics?

>Oh we need to uplift the poor and give them money

>Oh we need to lower the taxburden on the successful

I dont give a shit about money. I want culture, heritage, ideals. Its like a fucking merchant-virus has infected us all.

I see the term "red pill" gets used very lightly around here lately...

BRAVE NEW WORLD. Required Sup Forums reading

He isn't /ourguy/ kys shill. GRRM is a lefty cuck

Here you go:

road to serfdom should be your starting point

>pic
LMAO!!!

i hope pic is unrelated op.

Get back in your shekel shackels, goy. Stop thinking outside the box, and start thinking inside the kikel.

Oy vey, a knish.

...

where do you think culture comes from? economic freedom creates explosions in individual expression. unless youre talking about romanticized cultures of the past.

That's a good one, I read it in Russian History class. Behind the Urals is also very good.

No. The general theme from the book is "you're entitled to the fruits of your labor."
You've now basically read Atlas Shrugged

Starship Troopers is mandatory redpilled reading.

>Sup Forums's high school literature club

Ayn Rand collected social security

Culture comes from the interconnection of minds. It is a culture of memes that is quite analogous to a bacterial microbiome.

Minds are merely the machines that memes use for sexual reproduction (memetic crossover and mutation). Our neocortex is the machine that makes this possible; it is an autoencoder that completes partial patterns, allowing (a) two thoughts/memes to be mashed up together to form a new thought/meme, (b) rudimentary logical thinking through applying a rule to a thought to yield a new thought, and (c) a virulence vector a.k.a. a body that allows those memes to circulate and thrive.

This is why mass media and pop culture is so devastating. It is a high-pressure memetic douche that is, literally, flushing our cultures out of our minds and into the abyss to be lost forever. Faceberg, Google, and their ilk are meddling with the topology and geometry of the space through which these memes propagate and lay dormant (in the forms of text, images, music, etc. - anything that can be taken up by a mind). It is meme warfare in the truest sense, and most of us are not even aware that we are at war and that the stakes are humanity itself as we know it.

Now you know where babbies, and cultures, come from.

I think GRM is a huge fag, but his books certainly don't beat around the bush with things like politics, deception, and the cruelty of war. I would also recommend these books. Also just read Might is Right by Ragnar Redbeard. It's pretty amazing how it deconstructs everything and brings life down to brass tacks.

1% fags don't realise that the 1% is almost entirely made up of Jews.
They have the right enemy but refuse to recognise it.

Atlas Shrugged and The Fountain Head

I too will recover as much as i can that has been stolen from me.

Anyone hear mind giving a basic gestalt on Atlas Shrugged? What is the big takeaway message?

Just wondering so if we bump into an NPC who has read it, we will know what kinds of activators they have among their almonds.

I think it's interesting that leftists hate this book more than any other.

Read it one summer when I was in grade 11. Took me 3 fucking months. It's pretty long-winded but a good read.

>make millions marketing robber baronism to impressionable teens
>still go on social security the second you can

Ayn Rand was a hypocritical cuck.

Anthem is better than Atlas Shugged unless you want 800 pages of trains.

No shit. She was forced to pay into it and therefore was entitled to it.

...

This book is absolutely redpill, but Rand was a horrible author. Every hero in absolutely every book is a Mary Sue.

If you want to denounce communism, Rand fiction is just not the way.

...

Anyone here read this?

...

Fukkin saved. Thanks m9.

just watch the video adaptation
it's basically the same shit, but condensed

The first book is good, but its hard to justify reading those when I could literally read 20 other good novels instead

have more

play bioshock instead

Culture, heritage, ideals etc has nothing to do with politics...
We already live in a socialist hellhole where culture is part of politics and its awful.
The only ideal you need comrade is (((solidarity)))

long read but worth every sentence. more relevant today than when it was written

that's a shitty book user. grow up.

FUCK OFF PLEBBIT

Plus the one insider user said the ice zombies are for real once shit goes down in Antarctica.

Underrated post. I have a bachelor's in economics and this guy is my favorite economist. He makes great points that anyone with a basic understanding of economics can grasp

The story follows the struggle of a hand full of people personifing two basic archetypes: The Producers and the Thieves.

The producers are broken into two factions:

Faction One: the producers who try to prevent an inevitable societal calaps, all the while knowing that the thieves villify them and take advantage of their production to suck it dry.

Faction Two: the producers who chose to disappear entirely and "shrugged" off the burden of producing, only for the Thieves to ostracize them and take there property. All the while knowing it will lead to complete collapse of society.

Its an epic novel that serves as an outline for Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.

Only good choice in this entire thread

It's a big chore to get through such a mediocre book.

The Road to Serfdom

'Mediocre'? Honestly now, have you actually read this book, Or are you just a weak minded pleb who wants to justify his own mediocrity?

Which is why you should read it.

underrated

How legitimate are these criticisms? Can someone here debunk them (without ad-hom)?

Middle School Cuck
Alpha

Why so angry? Here, have potato.

It's mediocre from an actual writing standpoint. I stopped reading about a quarter of the way through once I got sick of reading the same shit over and over, and I can't imagine it gets any better. I would guess this book could be condensed into somewhere like 250-300 pages if Ayn didn't just keep finding 1,000 new ways to say the same God damn thing.

It is not a well written book. Ayn Rand is not a good author. These are UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTED FACTS. This is the equivalent of someone saying Ferngully is a masterpiece. It may be fun to watch and you may enjoy it; the movie isn't a masterpiece nor is the creator a master of their craft, especially with the particular subject. It's junk food disguised with lettuce.

You may enjoy some of the themes (which totally aren't beaten over your head) but to call this book anything other than an adult Harry Potter for pseudo religious atheists you haven't read an actual good book. Read more and you'll see how far her writing is from anything but mediocrity.

Read Ted Kazinskis manifesto, pretty interesting.

when will ancaps learn their ideas are just as retarded and impossible as marxism?

What's it like, being 14?

Dumbass. It's a shit book.

>>>xD

That's very poor taste in trolling user.

Audio books are great because you can walk, clean, workout, or just do whatever and still read. Plus it's easier for me to concentrate on just words

Ayn Rand is shit.

Read this, you bastards.

Its worth the read in your early 20's when you're starting to pull your head out your ass and figuring out the world. If you're already posting on Sup Forums it's probably redundant at this point

Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell

Loved this book when I first read it and really loved Sagan but after learning more I can't help but think he is just a popularizer of (((science))). And that Black Science Man is just Sagan 2.0 for the new masses.

the book is not that good
it's not terrible either just not enlightening on the subject of the way of men. Mostly repetition of socially already accepted consensus on the role of men in society

Basic economics by Thomas sowell is good too

brainlet detected. Audiobooks do not require the same attention that actual reading does. If you were to listen to anything of actual substance it would go over your head.

Just because Sup Forums has fucked up my mind, I can't decide whether you are trolling or not, solely based on the fact that Friedman is a joo.

I have it but not read yet. Any good?

He just repeats the same basic premise over and over again.

Play the game. Less pretence, more fun.

Good content but dry as fuck...

It is overrated, I wouldn't read it
