You know the robots are coming, right user? Soon tens of millions of American men will be out of work because there will be no need for them. The robots will be able to do their job.
This is why I support a robot tax. The machine counts as 1 human for every human it replaces. The tax it pays will be redistributed to the humans that are jobless because of it. What will they do with the money Sup Forums ?
Joseph Sullivan
Buy robots that kill useless humans
Adrian Miller
I think if you want to tax robots, robots should have the right to vote.
Evan Diaz
Damn leaf, thats the spirit.
Charles Wright
why would we even need money if robots do everything? Wed just need mandatory maintenance training.
Nicholas Fisher
Nah just the owner of the plant gets 3/5s a vote for each robot he has to pay tax on.
Isaac Wright
Seems fair until the robots are capable of thinking for themselves.
Jordan Powell
Bring on the singularity. We need to remove all useless humans that are getting in the way of us utilizing technology its full potential and advancing us into a Type 1 Civilization
Logan Lopez
temporary fix that will be eroded as time goes on
herd the population into a cage, feed them 1 hamburger a day, then months later feed them .5 hamburgers a day, and so on. what can they do? trapped
Juan Hall
How is everyone posting in OPs incomprehensible thread and therefore elevating his idea. We're supposed to tax every transistor that replaced foreign translators? Huh? Get real op, I'm not surprised why the term fascist is thrown around at most of this board these days because it is so clear how simply minded this thread's goers are.
Oliver Sullivan
then companies will move their robots to a country that doesn't tax them.
Joshua Foster
Funny, this is an idea Bill Gates put forward a few months ago.
Kevin Parker
No step on snek.
Henry Williams
How will you buy food without money user?
Sebastian Torres
Basic income then?
Evan Brooks
How the fuck does every transistor replace a foreign translator?
What is a transistor?
If you're so smart then fuck off. >why are u here bro
Juan Mitchell
Why don't we tax excavators because they put people with shovels out of work? Why dont we tax high level programming languages and frameworks because they create less jobs for programmers?
Alexander Edwards
massive unemployment will cause deflation without minimum wage and welfare there would be zero unemployment
Dominic Sanders
Robotics guy here.
Manufacturing jobs in the US are already gone. Anything that can be automated has already been automated. If it's not automated, it's because it's just not financially viable.
People overestimate robotic capabilities. They're just incredibly precise tools. They still need humans in the loop to make them function.
So don't freak out. Remember that people are just fleshy machines that have no up front cost and are much more versatile than a robot. The industries where robots excel are already the status quo.
Once robots can interact with people in a socially accessible way... That's when we're fucked. But that is a long long way off, so let your grandkids worry about it.
Nathan Hernandez
This is fucking retarded, that would mean countries with no tax would have the best production, as it is incentivized to automate all jobs.
What will obviously happen is a system where all the robot owners will have luxury and take all the decisions while common people just recieve a basic income, enough to buy the products the rich make, while they wait for us to die. when every unemployable, useless person dies, the population will be reduced to the few ultra-rich and their robot workers.
Before cars there were lots of horses Cars came Horses useless Now fewer horse
Before robots there were lots of people Robots came People useless Now fewer people
Elijah Scott
Way cheaper to use virus.
Hunter Young
We didn't spend all that time and effort mapping the human genome for no reason
Jayden Perez
>Manufacturing jobs in the US are already gone. Anything that can be automated has already been automated. Robots will actually bring jobs back to America because shipping will be a bigger cost than labor
Gavin Lee
I agree.
Xavier Foster
Genophage against non-Europoids when?
Julian Brooks
well you tax goods that are made by robots much higher. simpel. even of they move to countrys that allow robot production thy wont sell it.
Its not robot phobia speaking here just simpel robot preservation and preventing the matrix happening.
Robots are only there amplyfie humans and support not take over.
Humans without jobs are dangerous and retarded, more retarded then usual.
Asher Williams
>Robot tax make it a profit tax instead
if the robots cost a lot to maintain but the overall productivity is higher, we should go for it The profit tax would also make it harder to overcharge on cheap trash
Caleb Allen
consumption tax > income tax
Alexander Evans
The ideal scenario would be to move toward 100% robotic production. This way there is no one to pay.
