The current political climate is very similar to the 1980's. Nobody really knows what's going on, but the know that war is *possibly* right around the corner at all times. A lot of paranoia.
Trump played on the paranoia of his voters to get into power. Nothing more, nothing less.
Every generation believes the younger generation is more degenerate. But yes, I believe that this current generation has been the most degenerate.
Mostly because religion is not being followed anymore and the Internet is a self-affirming cesspool of bad ideas and idiots. (Ex. Tumblr, Reddit, Twitter)
