The impact crater at the location of the gas deaths are also consistent with small mortars being fired from north/north-east. From rebel controlled areas. Not with airstrikes with the munitions in the pic from 2013.

I'd like to add that it might be possible for the crater to be made by 152mm artillery shell with a range of 16 kilometers. Those can be fitted with various gas munitions, but again, from rebel positions. Not airstrike, and definitely not the munitions in the pics from OP.
