I suspect part of the reason for that is/was that Trump doesn't feel that he can trust anybody else. And fact is, he can't. But what he doesn't realize is that he can't trust them either.
IMO the only people he can/should probably trust are Kellyanne, Bannon, and Stephen Miller. (Miller is the kike anti-Jared.) And Sean Spicer, Mattis, a handful of others. I wished he'd incorporated more old school conservative commentators/journalists like Laura Ingraham into his cabinet. Just what I was thinking and like you I wondered about that back then too. I knew I was going to vote for Trump for my own reasons, but it was obvious that his team had a sophisticated shilling group working here, and elsewhere.
