Were the '70s more redpilled than now?

Would you rather be living in the '70s?

90s > 00s > 80s > 10s (so far) > 70s > pre-60s > 60s

p.s. this applies to music too

No they weren't, people were skeptical and maybe on the right tracks but the 70s were hedonistic and blue pilled, and information was pretty slow to travel

THE NINETIES BABYYYYYYY, GAMEBOY COLOR!!! MS DOS!!!

How is hedonism bluepilled?

the 60s and 70s periods of hardcore degeneracy and social decay. the 50s were based though.

>Would you rather be living in the '70s?

Hell fucking no.

There was no internet in the 70s. No porn on demand. And what would you have to do to find footage of __________ [enter fetish] in Springfield, Illinois in 1971?

Based on that alone I absolutely prefer 2017.

It really depends on if its pre-Vietnam or not. Besides the civil rights stuff pre-Vietnam was basically sexually promiscuous 1950s with drugs and pretty much no STD's. Shit was cash. 10/10 Playboy models were somehow still innocent and nobody knew what "game" was so you could pick up smoking hot babes with simple tricks.

70s were objectively the worst decade except for movies and rock music because it introduced metal and prog. Too much war strife and worrying about a shitty economy.

80s were amazing. Sorry about your Beyonce fetish but 00s sucked in comparison on almost every level.

I am starting to believe you about the 10s though, God what a fucked decade. Obama did a lot of behind the scenes bullshit and basically coasted about 2013.

Endless capeshit movies and remake trash and comedy died. Music just seems to be treading water with few iconic albums. Lots of bad videogames but lots of good. Can't wait for Syrian War we needed a war per Republican president.

Lots of good stuff in the 10s too just too lazy to list.

>the 60s and 70s periods of hardcore degeneracy and social decay. the 50s were based though.

Explain? Imo while being degenerate as fuck, they were still redpilled. The 50s were alright but seemed boring.

In my opinion, the 40s and 50s were more degenerate, due to their brutality and intolerance, and the 60s and 70s were more enlightened.

Yes, there was the decay of the facade of the traditional American family in the 60's and 70's, but that is nothing compared to the decay of the very foundation of America ("all men are created equal") in the 30s, 40s and 50s.

>00's sucked in comparison on almost every level
Christ this all over. Early 2000's was the fucking worst in every way.

>Early 2000's was the fucking worst in every way.

Amen to that x1000

Old cunt here. Was alive for some of the 70s. Have very vivid memories of that time.

> Hedonistic.

Can confirm. So much this.
People got up to pretty depraved shit and got away with it. The kind of shit that destroys careers today.

> no internet. No porn.

Meh. There was heaps of porn. Also people had sex with actual humans instead of sitting in their rooms fapping to traps.

>There was no internet in the 70s. No porn on demand.
Didn't need it because everybody was getting pussy. And there was arpanet, you cia nigger. That was better than the internet.

>Whinge about boomers having it so good in the 70s
>wouldn't want to live in 70s

Fuck yeah 70s was sick. Only a minority of people were faggots.

This. Toxic as fuck.

>People got up to pretty depraved shit and got away with it. The kind of shit that destroys careers today.

Have an example of it?

>Didn't need it because everybody was getting pussy. And there was arpanet, you cia nigger. That was better than the internet.

Explain. Why do you think there's so many autist shut-ins nowadays whereas in the 70s people went out and got laid, partied? Is it the internet's fault? Were girls in the 70s sluttier?

I honestly feel like shit like Facebook/Twitter/Tinder/Etc. has fucked social interactions up. You used to have to suck it up and go out and meet people. Nowadays you meet online then meet irl and it's weird. You see someone's picture before you see them, value is based on internet popularity. Back then you legitimately had to go and meet people, have experiences, learn to socialize.

I would prefer to live in a world without internet

>Also people had sex with actual humans instead of sitting in their rooms fapping to traps.

No, the rate of actual sex is the same. The rate of masturbation is the same. The difference is in what we get to masturbate to in terms of rare fetishes, erotica or taboo. Options in our age are literally endless and accessible almost at the speed of thought.

>Didn't need it because everybody was getting pussy.

No, that simply isn't true. It was the same as it is today. Popular guys get pussy. Outgoing guys get pussy. Shy nerds do not get pussy in any era!

>Is it the internet's fault?
Yes. The internet is designed by autists for autists. Text only communication strips any emotion which they never got in the first place. When normal people started using the internet they had to shoehorn various things (emoticons, emojis, reaction images) to get their feelings across which the designers of the internet never anticipated. But it is no substitute for actual human interaction. And then there is the quantization of everything, completely autistic.

>I would prefer to live in a world without internet

Bro I can barely remember a world without internet. It really was different back then. Even the 90s were so much different. What was it like, older anons, before internet?

I was born in '96 so it's always been around, but I kind of remember the late 90s/early 00s where people didn't use it as much. From about 03-05 onward everyone has been online 24/7.

I feel like before the internet there was a sort of magical feeling of unknowing about the world.

How the hell did you reach this?

They managed to get married and have kids somehow.

>How the hell did you reach this?
just think about it

hedonism is the definition of being blue pilled

> example?

Only going from my own personal experience. Not sure how to put it exactly. Let's just say, if you wanted it, no matter how fresh, it was available. And seen as no big deal.

> we can masterbate to taboo shit
Is that meant to be a good thing? Why is being able to instantly access the most depraved shit imaginable a worthwhile thing? Fetishes, yeah sure we all have them. But I can do without a world where you can find threads on Sup Forums with 50 plus pics of naked murdered women, most of them without their heads.

The 70s were very blue pilled.

Hippies are literal useful idiots infected by the highly successful Soviet weak propaganda and society got shittier after the late 60s destroyed the traditional family.

Sometimes you were bored with literally nothing to do but walk around aimlessly. You did not feel a need to know what was happening around the world every minute. You had patience. The world seemed slower paced even though it probably moved at the same pace as today, but with constant news coming in from every corner of the internet it gives the illusion of activity, so you were more relaxed back in the day. Everything now is fake and obviously fake.

>Only going from my own personal experience. Not sure how to put it exactly. Let's just say, if you wanted it, no matter how fresh, it was available. And seen as no big deal.

So do you mean like banging 14-17 year old chicks or deeper shit?

Hippies started to die down in the 70's numbnuts.

Dude. Lob off that first digit.

Gene Hunt existed in the 70s. Gene Hunt was redpilled. Therefore the 70s are redpilled.

00's were utter shit and the majority of that was a reaction to 9/11.

Everything changed after that, from education to media to family values.
An impending sense of doom invaded america.

Did you not read the second part of the sentence? I was saying how the hippies influenced the 70s into what they were.

The 90s was great as a child. Going out down the park and playing games all day, doing woodcraft and being genuinely happy.

Nowadays kids are being turned into the purest form of edge lords by us.

>1973 was the year arms law became federal law in Germany and was heavily restricted, compared to basically having no restrictions in state laws before that
>basically 98% Germans in Germany
>old wehrmacht soldiers still around

Yes, I would

It was very different. People would argue about little things because you couldn't just look it up, also it was more difficult to see porn and find out about current events.

Generally a simpler time, for better or worse.

Ideally things would have stayed at late 90s level without normies.

90's were garbage bluepilled commercialized trash all day long, a fantasyland that was shattered by 9/11

The 90's internet was basically a playground for white males. The trash was kept in the walled gardens of AOL and Prodigy. We had that at least.

>The 90's internet was basically a playground for white males.
damn...

so 4-7 then? gross

Do you think people were realer back then, had more soul? Seems like nowadays everyone is fake, doesn't give a shit about each other.

There were more white people so it was better by default.
However most people were hippies and commies. The boomer generation is more leftist than gen-z. They're the reason America is what it is today.

oh come on, the 90's and the 00's are by far the worst in every way, and i was born in 1970 so i know what i'm talking.

People were still fake but they couldn't rub their fakeness in your face as easy because there was no Facebook.

>do i wish i was living in the 70s
considering LA was the capital of hot white pussy back then and 90% white yes
today my hometown is a fucking beaner shithole full of human trafficking and human rights abuses done by third world cartels.

KMS

I totally would. You could go to a Ramones show for 2 dollars back then.

More expansive communication homogenizes people. Nowadays everybody just wants an upvote which accelerates the homogenization like a feedback loop. So while television and movies made people think and act quite similarly there was still a lot of variety which gets leveled out today.
There were things you did not hear about, or could not look up instantly. There were barriers to knowledge which prevented people from faking it. Now people's grandmothers are posting memes on Facebook.
Back in the early 60s there was a show called Route 66 that was filmed on location throughout the United States and Canada. There was an interview with one of the actors in 1986 so it is even worse now, but here is a summary:
>Among other topics, he spoke at some length (as did Martin Milner in a separate interview) about how much the country had changed since the actors filmed their tv show entirely on location, in a different town every week. Back in 1960, a small town in New Mexico was very different culturally from a shrimping town on the Gulf, a dam project on the Colorado, or a logging camp in the Pacific Northwest. Even getting to such places could be an adventure. "Now you can go anywhere you want," Maharis concluded, "and it's a Denny's."
Organic culture is being replaced with a manufactured culture.

Hard to describe how but I think people were more real. They didn't give a shit about celebrities, you heard a song on the radio you liked and hoped you heard it again. You couldn't search for what it was anywhere. Days were spent riding bikes and looking for tadpoles, talking about what you wanna watch on TV tonight.

But there was a real dark side...
And here's how it worked.
Ignore flag. I'm not from here, I left my country years ago. Back in the 70s there were large groups of people who traveled around the country. Probably a hippie throwback from the 60s. You could disappear as an adult in these groups. And anything went. Drugs, sex, anything and everything. They were concentrated in more liberal areas where police and other authorities let us be. Or got favors from us. Literally tens of thousands of people lived like this. And us kids where treated as a commodity and used as currency. For instance a guy with mechanic skills could go into a commune for a few weeks. Fix everyones vehicles, and get paid in everything from peyote, food and nightly blowjobs from various kids. Then move on and disappear to another group. I'm certain the world knew this was going on and accepted it as part of that world. The 70s was a pedo paradise. I remember when I was about 8 or 9 a woman joined our group for the night she was a smoking hot Comanche or some shit. She paid a lot of interest in me and was real sweet, and I has excited AF because I thought 'great, I'm gonna get to screw her.' That night all the adults are smoking up and my parents ended up kicking me out of the room so they could fuck her. I was so pissed, apart from a feel of her boobs I never saw any action. What part of all that isn't totally fucked up. That couldn't happen today, or at least not to the extent it took place back then.

So, in conclusion, there was a huge section of the 70s that was massively bluepilled.

you pathetic human-niggers amuse me with your meaningless segregation of culture into an arbitrary unit of time that is infinitesimal

look at this faggot. he's writing fiction and gets sexually aroused from it

>1993
>brady bill was enacted
>introduced by Chuck Schumer
>redpilled

yeah nah

If you wanted to talk to your girlfriend you needed to call her home and ask her parents if she was there. In general you had to interact with your girlfriends parents more.

america was still white
so
yes

>get stoned as fuck and listen to 60s / 70s california hippie music at an early age
>forever associate that place and time with 'good vibes'
>meanwhile the hells angels were running rampant in california at the time, drug use and degeneracy were skyrocketing while intelligence plummeted, and globalism was taking hold
