Okay let's get this straight. Right now we have these sides in Syria: 1) Assad's government. Assad is alawite - very moderate version of Islam with many Christian connections. 2) Kurds. They're trying to build some socialist state, nobody knows any more about them. 3) "Moderate opposition". Bunch of jihadists with an intention of building a typical Near East shithole. 4) ISIS. Bunch of jihadists with an intention of bulding a violent Islamic state.
Because Assad is against the US/Saudi/Qatar pipeline. These people couldn't give a shit about Assad bring an alright guy.
Joshua Gray
My guess is he wouldn't bow down to Israel so he's been marked for destruction, as all bad goys are.
Carson Morris
Kek is in this thread.
Bentley Collins
He gassed literally 6 million jews though?
Landon Scott
Do you know how many groups the opposition consists of? Do you know how many ideologies they follow?
The worst /sg/ meme of all time is the "moderate beheader" meme. How the absolute fuck can they maintain that position and call Assad's forces moderate at the same time? Just plain fucking propaganda. There's goddamn anarchist groups fighting for the opposition for fuck's sake. And communists. And all sorts. But one goddamn al Nusra brigade and suddenly everyone fighting against Assad is now a jihadi. Fuck's sakes, what blatant fucking propaganda.
Luis Barnes
>Assad >Very moderate version of Islam with many Christian connections
Do those Christian connections include partnering with Hezbollah, who genocided Christians in Lebanon and were responsible for beta testing refugee jihad in what was formerly known as the "Paris of the Middle East," and being a proxy for Iran, to the point of having more Iranian forces helping you out than your entire military (gatestoneinstitute.org/9406/iran-soldiers-syria)?
> Do you know how many groups the opposition consists of? And what can they build if they don't even share same ideas?
Asher Brown
Why would Qatar spend billions, if not trillions, on war and incur huge costs to their economy (the same for Iran) over a pipeline conflict, when they both could just build LNG terminals and cut back on costs?
The costs of them trying to get a gas monopoly in this case are higher than the profits they'd get under a gas monopoly.
David Reed
Wrong. The only moderate opposition group are the SDF and they are neutral to Assad so never fight his army.
Zachary Cruz
Hezbollah protects Syrian Christians. Despite the fact that Phalange has slaughtered plenty of Shiites during the Lebanese civil war
Caleb Murphy
War is what drives these economies. It doesn't drain them. The money is moved around; it doesn't disappear. A lot of these people are Keynesian economists as well.
Jaxon King
They fight amongst each other all the time. They only share the same goal of taking down the Assad regime.
It's only fucking propagandists that believe the shit that spews out of /sg/ like it's just a war between MUHHH SECULAR DEMOCRACY LOVE FOR CHRISTIANS vs. DA EVIL JIHADI BEHEADERS.
There's multiple fucking factions there warring with other factions. Fucking constantly. Even the jihadi groups themselves fight amongst each other all the time.
It's a goddamn clusterfuck of conflicting ideologies and only simple deluded retards falling for propaganda believe the bullshit coming out of /sg/ that it's some kind fight against Islam.
Benjamin Robinson
>Assad's government. Assad is alawite - very moderate version of Islam with many Christian connections.
you forget the part where anyone who doesn't vote for him has to keep it secret or his neighbors will report him and his family will disappear.
you forget the part where there is no free media, opposition, free press or anything of the sort in Assad controlled regions.
>Is he the lesser evil?
No, I think Kurds are based and I side with them. 2nd choice is FSA.
Tyler Jackson
> The costs of them trying to get a gas monopoly in this case are higher than the profits they'd get under a gas monopoly.
Are they? First country that suffers from oil price war is Russia (well, after Venezuela maybe). That's pure speculation, but could that be, that US is using it to weaken Russia?
Ryan Gonzalez
propagandists and Russians

Didn't kurds agree to be an autonomy in Syria?
Jose Edwards
Well, I don't mind to have current government removed because of economical crisis.
I was supporting Trump on this matter of Syria, but I've read a bunch of articles about this war and I'm questioning if he bombed right guys.
Robert Turner

Leo Gray
Because Israel and Kikes and all the liberals who love refugees so much they never ever want to stop making more of them
Benjamin King
You are Russian. Your propaganda is useless as well as your opinion. If you can get detained for posting a picture of your leader on the internet, who should give a fuck about yout opinion.
Ryan Foster
Don't worry, after Trump you will be able to get in jail for hatespeech too.
Isaac Ortiz

Cooper Rivera
gee i wonder
Joshua Fisher
Have you considered political motives behind it? Such project would provide energy independence of EU from Russia.
Geopolitical reason is simply much more important in Syria. Even not mentioning removing Russia from eu energy market, syrian state torn apart would not only appease Israel, but also made Turkey and KSA happy and prepare ground for final push on Iran.
>no free media, opposition, free press Oh so it is like EU where people cant openly say they want to vote for Hoffer, AfD, lePen, because they are instantly labeled nazis, racists, extremists.
Logan Russell
> Assad
Crimes against humanity, next.
> Kurds
Other than being socialist/communist, I see no problem.
> Opposition
Sandniggers; pass.
> ISIS
The ultimate redpill
Michael Williams
>Crimes against sandniggers Fixed that for you. Please be more consistent. You already equaled opposition to sandniggers.
