Why is it that we oppose immigrants? Particularly banning Mohammad the engineer or Pajeet the doctor does nothing but set us back. You might try to justify anti-immigration policy as a means to reduce competition for doctors, engineers, etc locally... but ultimately, as all goods and services compete against one another on the global stage.

There would still be competition. The banning of talent would not reduce the pool world-wide... we would just lose out on talent to other emerging superpowers, like China and Russia..

"Talent" misses out on something essential, you can train people to do what you want them to do. Immigration economies don't gear their societies for education, instead they consume highly educated people.

Quick rundown:
Ideal situation: There is meaningful work for the entire society. Due to technological progress and trade people are steadily increasing their standard of living. A reasonable welfare state is established to make transitions between lines of work possible and relocate labor in the sectors with highest demand.

So let us look at different scenarios of immigration:
a) Uncontrolled: Everyone can come to your country. This will cause a great influx of people from countries with a lower standard of living. In general their level of education is inferior. So they put wage pressure on unskilled labor due to more competition. Unskilled labor is already paid worst. So it will get harder for unskilled people to support themselves. The pay gap between skilled labor and unskilled labor becomes bigger. Society as a whole is drifting towards an alternative form of feudalism (future).

b) Controlled: Only high skilled people can come to your country. This will cause emigration of high skilled workers from countries with a low standard of living into countries with better perspectives. It results in a brain drain in countries with low development. Countries who already do bad will get even worse. The gap in standard of living between rich countries and poor countries will become bigger. The world as a whole is drifting towards an alternative form of feudalism where people from rich countries can afford massive amounts of labor in poor countries (status quo).

c) Immigration restricted on tourism. No work allowance for foreigners. This will cause individual countries to deal with their individual problems in their own manner and develop different cultures. High skilled people will stay in their respective countries and find ways to make them thrive. The world will be an awesome and interesting place with an abundance of different cultures and styles of living. Different cultures will learn from each other and exchange commodities in trade (the best).

That sounds like an economic policy problem, not something that is solely the result of immigration. Welfare system is not statistically abused more by immigrants than natives in most studies.

Nothing to do with economics. The immigrants come from a culture of crime, and they bring it with them. Cite some of these studies, because welfare is definitely abused by immigrants of middle-eastern/north african origin.
