>how does it feel to steal another man's job?
Idk why don't you ask your precious immigrants?

Do they not know their party invented those rules?

>norm d guerre

Witty

Of course they don't know that. All they know is what Facebook and CNN tell them to be mad about.

B U T T H U R T

What the fuck are they mad about?

holy shit lol just pop culture my shit up at every opportunity senpai

>Russian Supreme Court
Wew lad

hurrr durr the constitution was destroyed but at least red team won hurrrrrr

What the fuck is the point of this? Is his like Reddit circlejerking or something? Is it for them sweet upvotes?

I'm not a Redditfag. Give me insight as to why they just kept repeating that sentence over and over again.

Lmao of course not, even my liberal neighbours knew that the democrats brought it on themselves when they changed it. These people are so far gone its not even funny

>hurrr durr the constitution was destroyed
U wot m8?

McConnel and conservatives dragged their feet and wouldn't allow an Obama SC pick by refusing to meet or vote on confirmation, then forced a Trump SC pick when he got in. Whether you hated Obama or not, it should have been his nomination.

McConnell needs to go.

The new phrase of denial is "STOLEN SEAT".

Like the retards on NeoGAF who think changing their avatars to say RESIST will change anything. Idiots.

They think they're Fight Club.

It's reddit, what do you expect?

There was no provision for a SC filibuster in the Constitution.

The President that's leaving shouldn't get to pick. And Obama put 2 judges on the Supreme Court, whine all you want, he wasn't going to get a 3rd.

Obama appointed TWO. You fuckers don't need to have 3 out of 9, fuck you.

>using android

poorfag

Why don't you show me where it says that's not allowed in the Constitution, faggot?

someones got a ache in there posterior.

> left doesn't get their way, they take to twatter and kikebook to protest with Tic-Tac-Toe symbols and shitty catchy slogans.

They don't even know why they oppose Gorsuch.

Advice and CONSENT by the Senate means what it means

The Senate gets to choose whether your Justice gets on or not. It's not just a conciliatory formality.

gorsuch will turn out just like every other promise trump made. a lie

>liberals crying

What else is new.

first thread i've seen about gorsuch being confirmed. if nothing else good comes out of the trump administration, at least we have gorsuch.

>muh expensive inanimate objects

This, it's pathetic to watch plebeians attempt to discuss and understand law and the judiciary

Garland was a shit justice who lacked the convictions to rule based on the letter of the law rather than "muh feels". Supreme Court justices must be held to a higher standard and Obama proved with his two picks that he was shit and getting a third would have been a generational disaster for his nation.

Fpbp

>Hillary gets 48% of the vote
Muh democracy rule
>Gorsuch gets 54% of the Senate vote
>He's illegitimate
Really makes one wonder.

>Obama proved with his two picks that he was shit and getting a third would have been a generational disaster for his nation

And that was his plan all along. Obama wanted to undermine the constitution and did so by picking leftist activists.

this is the only thing that makes me dislike mcconnel a little less.

Rebbit niggers are notoriously unoriginal, the fag probably saw it somewhere else and claims he thought of it all on his own.

Underrated

Why do they hate him? He seems to have the most sound judgement of any justice ive seen confirmed in my lifetime. Do they even know what they dont like about him?

>why they just kept repeating that sentence over and over again.
Same reason there is a fucking PTG, Autism.

Why would they be butthurt? Gorsuch is a fag-loving liberal that even goes to a fag church.

>Reddit copying Fight Club, which they probably think is about fighting the man, when it's about how much the author was in the closet

POST MOAR SALT

(please)

What does this mean for Trump? Will he stop being obstructed or something?

Which is why it was downright fucking heroic for the republicans to deny him a third go at destroying the high court.

Biden is the one that wouldn't allow Obama to have a SC pick during that time.

>the president has the right to make anyone he wants a justice
Have these people ever taken a civics course? Read the federalist papers?

Well Palahniuk did write it about snowflakes.

It was actually about the breakdown of masculinity and modern man bending over backwards to avoid confrontation but sure

Yeah I get you're angry but nothing illegal or unconstitutional happened here.

How exactly do you plan on removing McConnell when his constituents are overall happy about this?

He can take the travel ban to the Supreme Court and have it pushed through now.

how sad will they be when trump chooses the next justice?

now that the nuclear option is done, the next choice does not have to be anywhere near as mainstream as gorsuch

If the seat was un-owned, how could it be stolen? [insert shrugging cartoon Mexican here]

The older Republican Justices should step down so Trump can put younger ones in their place.

1/3 of all SCOTUS appointments were done on the last year of the sitting president's term.

If you missed the homoeroticism in Fight Club you just aren't reading the same book

maybe i'm out of the loop but who's job did he steal exactly?

Why do so many foreign countries follow the USA like they're collecting presidential baseball cards?

>If you missed the homoeroticism
Maybe i'm not a fag looking for gay shit everywhere.

Not talking to you mariconito

Truth hurts, gtfo faggot.

We are the best.

Re-read the rules again, they're tongue in cheek "Roman wrestling" jokes down to stopping when someone goes limp and not wearing shoes.

abcnews.go.com/Politics/senate-nuclear-filibuster-rules/story?id=20964700

Remember when they did it under Obama?

Oh... it's fine when we don't hate the president

Why do they hate him? What did he do?

>Bawbag defeater

Kek

When trump replaces RBG with Ted Cruz we are gonna see some serious shit
Post Yfw trump starts drafting constitutional amendments after the dems are shellacked in 2018

The fuck does going nuclear mean?

>men talking about manhood means peepee butthole
Maybe you need to stop being 16

they changed senate rules because the Democrats wouldn't approve Trump's political appointee

Same thing they did under Obama in 2013, except then a supreme court justice seat wasn't up for grabs due to a justice being found in his bed dead from a "heart attack" with a pillow over his head and no autopsy.

>Obama appointed TWO. You fuckers don't need to have 3 out of 9, fuck you.
But if we didn't have 3 out of 9, then Obama would have 3 out of 9. If there are five seats available during both presidents' tenure then someone has to have 3 or more, it's basic math.

>agreeing with a Mexican
Sheeeit hopefully you're at least castizo

I don't know how many of you know your history, but there was more than one coup in the Roman republic before the arrival of Julius Caesar. The most interesting by far was that of Lucius Cornelius Sulla, who seized control of the city in 82 BC after decades of instability.

What's interesting about this event is that he chose not to remain in power for long. By that time it was obvious to nearly everyone that the republlic was broken: loopholes in the system that had been ignored by tradition for centuries (many involving the tribunes of the plebs,) were being blatantly exploited. Society had changed over time so that the people the laws had been based around (citizen farmers) barely existed, and those laws had been changed into functional, but less stable forms, in which some individuals held enough power to threaten the state itself. When Sulla assumed control, he made it his aim to repair these problems: to fix the republic. When he felt he had done all he could, he returned his power to the system, and became a private citizen.

It didn't last. Almost 40 years later, Julius Caesar was able to do the same thing. But unlike Sulla, he held no intentions of fixing the republic: he eventually went so far as to say that Sulla's only mistake had been giving up power.

I used to abhor this statement. How could anyone harbor disdain for a man who put his country before himself? One should always be dedicated to preserving the freedom of their citizens, and Sulla worked for just that.

But like all of you, I've been observing American politics and history for some time. I don't think we're to a breaking point yet, or will be for some time, but I can clearly see the same processes that wore down that republic at work here. The details are different of course, but the trend is the same.

Does Gorsuch think the 2A protects the right to keep and bear arms outside the home aka carry? What about ass salt weapons?

You sound like a streetshitter talking about castes, gtfo of my board nigger.

Gradually, the balance of power in the system shifts, and these shifts are nearly impossible to reverse without a popular movement. 200 years ago, power here lay with Congress. Now where is it? I think most people would agree that over the last century or so the executive branch has claimed quite a lot more. So have the courts, who with the doctrine of the "living constitution" regularly are able to change the laws of the country.

Respect for tradition and for the intended use of the system is also slowly being eroded. This happens through events like the recent senate confirmation fiasco, which makes me disgusted with both parties. I hate that the Republicans have set this precedent for the future, and I hate that both Democrats and Republicans refused to consider the nominee of the others. The supreme court was conceived as an apolitical body. But with their newfound power and public acceptance of their ability to legislate, our lawmakers have no choice but to treat them as politicians like any others.

I don't know if any form of state exists which is resistant to this slow wearing away which is eating at us now. Somehow I doubt it, and that's made me realize that though I love the constitution and the form of government that our forefathers made for us, it is eventually doomed to collapse like all regimes.

I finally realize what Caesar meant about Sulla. The republic was beyond saving then, and it is beyond saving now. If it degrades enough in our lifetime that one of you is able to take power, don't bother giving it up. I certainly won't.

Wait they changed the rules? I thought they did nothing like that, just finally used the nuclear option that the Democrats made?

>the Black Guy
Referring to Obama as just "the black guy" seems kind of racist for these progressives.

Indio confirmed

Liberals don't even know why they hate Gorsuch. You want to see a progressive trip over themselves just ask them, "why?"

>taking your shoes off and wrestling grown men until they go limp is not only normal but very masculine
>it's also perfectly straight

They don't like him because King Nigger didn't appoint him. If he did, they would be sucking his dick.

Yes, they used the nuclear option, which means changing the senate rules. And yes, it is the one Democrats used 4 years ago.

Main stream memedia for any action they want you to view as bad.

Just like how ever person they don't like is "literally hitler".

They were told not to.

The day he was nominated they already were protesting with blank signs saying "Oppose ..." they then wrote "Gorusch" on.

Were they whining about 'established tradition' when Obama nominated a justice during his lame duck year?

>You want to see a progressive trip over themselves just ask them, "why?"

the tv funny people said so, didn't you watch last night's episode?

youtube.com/watch?v=iTCLFxkMQPQ

I don't even watch this garbage, I just fucking knew he did a propaganda piece on it because the rest of the media kikes are. It's a fucking concentrated effort

They're so fucking predictable now I can tell you what's on tonight's episode of Colbert's tv show without having watched a single episode of it.

>His name was Merrick Garland.

He is just as illegitimate as every other supreme court justice. He is just as illegitimate as the entire US Federal Government.

Steaming shit pile through and through.

These libtards got the right answer for the wrong reason.

Oh. I didn't know nuclear meant changing rules. I thought it was just not having the 60 votes and is frowned upon but finally after the Dems kept being fags they decided to get less than 60 (50 I guess was the new number?) This rule was changed from 60 to 50 under the Dems and getting less than 60 wouod be hypocritical for the Republicans. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention.

Stolen seat? Gorsuch is just doing the job that no one else wanted to do. Democrats aren't entitled to SCOTUS seats. If you lose your seat to a Republican, then maybe you should stop being such a loser.

They only get riled up by Cuckbook, Twitter, or whatever NYT or BuzzFeed or Salon says

Why the fuck is an American using Scottish slang?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_option

>t-touching other men ever means you like anal fissures
Dude I already told you to stop being 16. Who the fuck do you think benefits by this allergy you have toward heterosexual male intimacy and physical contact

That's leftie logic in a nutshell.

>Majority rules, but only if it suits me, REEEEE!

Real question here: Why is this faggot such a massive faggot? Why is he even allowed to call himself a Republican?

>The republic was beyond saving then

Republican government is a pipe dream. Democracy is a fraud.

Monarchy ("Dictatorship") is the only system of government that actually works.

McCain really is a cuck isn't he, might as well switch party to the Dems already. So salty by Trump doing what he couldn't.
