Have you ever actually changed somebodies mind in a political argument...

Have you ever actually changed somebodies mind in a political argument? Seems like this rarely ever happens for both sides.

If you have though, tell your story and how it happened.

No, because Leftists don't operate on facts, they operate on feelings.

>muh abortions are just wrong ok??!?
>muh small chance of mudslimes killing me
kys pussy

The Objective is to not try and flip their world view in one go, steadily chip away at their reality until they finally turn over.

Its not hard, youre all just socially retarded

You never walk in and say, "Hi, my names user, let me tell you about the jews."

It doesnt work that way. In fact 99.9% of people wont even listen to you if they dont know/trust you. You have to be a normal person first, then wait for your opportunity. Most normies cant help themselves, theyre always repeating talking points without even realizing it. When they do, ask probing questions that end in your way of thinking but also allows them to think they came up with it.

If someone you didnt know walked up and demanded you listen to their arguments youd rightfully tell them to get fucked, leftys are no different.

Recap:

>be a normal human
>gain trust
>wait for opportunity
>let them think theyre the smart one
>profit

Second post best post.

Turned my family from default lefties to de facto ethno-statists over a period of 6 months
You just have to keep trying, when they get frustrated leave them alone. When they say one of your talking points independently give them another related fact.

I've never completely flipped someones political view, but I have changed my families views rather frequently.

>gun control
My parents used to be fully blown ban all guns, and even though they still don't like guns, I convinced them that gun rights are incredibly important for defense from intruders or defense from the government if revolution or an uprising is necessary

>Taxation
My dad believed the rich should be taxed far far more than the middle class and the money should be given to the poor/middle class. I had to explain to him that it doesn't even matter if you do that considering how many loopholes rich people have to make sure they barely pay any taxes at all. Now he thinks that we should just fix all of the loopholes instead of raising the taxes for rich people.

Well I got most of my friends to vote leave, dunno if that counts. I find most people here don't have strong political opinions one way or another, so rather than "changing their minds" I just voice my opinion and people sometimes see things in a new light.

both of these
