How do you feel about the Min wage???

Who's Bernie? Can someone give me a quick rundown?

States where you can live off min. wage:

Better about it than I do rising inflation

oh wow look at that...the places where it's virtually impossible to live off of minimum wage are liberal cesspools.

>the problem is he's probably talking about new york city
if it was the countryside then they could easily afford it

Here's an idea: don't work for minimum wage.

america has a labour surplus for minimum wage workers

how is someone supposed to gain skills without working a minimum wage job part time to support themselves?

Is this one of the things where Bernie takes the average rent price, completely ignore that a minimum wage worker would choose a cheaper apartment rather than a middle class or luxury apartment? Because he was doing that once.

If it wasn't for Socialism the cost of living would be going down, purchasing power would be going up, an open flexible economy would spread workers around putting an upward pressure on wages, housing would be affordable & energy prices would plummet.....but noooooooooo you had to have your fucking gib me dat goodies WELL WOLLOW IN THE FLIFTH YOU CREATED. Marxist shits, can you believe this guy?

But then who will do the minimum wage jobs? Society still needs them.

Teenagers you fucking leaf

>the average minimum is 60 hours a week
>60 hours a week
>12 hours a day mon - fri
so no time for... anything but work. you can't even get ample time to shitpost. might as well just bring back employers having room and board for employees like foxcon does in china.

>without paying more than 30% of their income
So they can afford rent on minimum wage. Nice try, liberals.

Teenagers exist. It builds up resumes and fills the labor need for minimum wage workers.

You also have to understand that there are people in the US that work for minimum wage into their 30's and 40's. If you've been working all that time, there is no reason for you to still be working for wages that meager.

him and his brother own kfc

Then why do so many mcfaggot employers keep having kids? Also fuck that kike.

The issue isn't minimum wage derp.
The issue is inflation via foolish monetary policies that cause asset price inflation and commodity inflation that necessitate the increase in wages.

Incidentally, wages never increase at a rate in which the monetary base inflates or prices inflate. This is due to the statistical rate markers for inflation being manipulated down.

So, what did Bernie intend on doing w.r.t to inflation? What do democrats intend on doing? What do republicans intend on doing? What does any rank and file politician or drumpskin plan on doing w.r.t to the federal reserve and fractional reserve lending that keeps the carrot on a stick always out of reach?

Nothing...

>but but muh minimum subsistence
Bread crumbs and circuses. You'll get your minimum wage hike and rent will double.

Meanwhile you'll get tweets from dindu cucks stating the obvious

Holy shit the mental gymnastics it takes to post this.

Well maybe they should lower the taxes and stop spending high wages on shitty public servants that serve no use.

Top fucking Kek.

Inshallah he gives me his second home and only wife so I may truly understand the blessings of this life!

checked

>life is unfair
welcome to the real world bernard

The influx of unskilled labor into this country has robbed American teenagers of their jobs, which are arguably better for their education than any amount of schooling.

he's objectively wrong about rents being fair.

in most cities, realtors and large property owners collude to keep vacant properties off the market, driving down supply (artificially, since there are far more many vacant units than homeless people) and inflating cost.

> realtors don't want to rent out properties & thus earn no money
> oh no they just don't want to rent to homeless people with no money

If they rented the vacant units to homeless people the prices would only go further up & how many vacant units remain vacant for more than 2 months?

Less then I feel about an old Jewish communist talking about rent prices being fair.

What a bunch of dirty lying jews.

You can rent a townhouse in Baltimore for $500 per month. And believe me, there are plenty available.

Exactly.

abolish minimum wage.
if a business wants to pay 8 bucks an hour, nobody will work for them.
if the government mandates it, people have no choice.
abolish minimum wage.

I love trolls like this, they could easily be mistaken for someone who's serious and really stupid.

>but muh union hours
if you live in poverty there is literally no excuse for working only 40 hours a week
find a side hustle to do before/after work or at least one day on the weekend

>if a business wants to pay 8 bucks an hour, nobody will work for them.

Ah! No. I used to be very poor. I worked for less than 8 an hour and worked over 40 hours a week because it was the only way I could survive. Did that for about 5 years before I got a lucky break and was promoted, went from $8.35 an hour to $12 an hour.

If I had refused to work for less than $8, I would have eventually gone homeless, with no way of returning to a normal life style.

It's almost like you aren't meant to live on your own while working a job that pays $7.50 an hour that are meant for teenagers.

you had a shitty job, because you're literally THAT retarded.
holy shit.
you were able to be paid that little because of the minimum wage.
If there was no concept of a minimum wage, that wouldnt have been a problem.
how much of a complacent pleb do you have to be to work a job like that for FIVE YEARS.

average one bedroom apartment where I live is 650$/month

average full time minimum wage salary is approx. $1,150

food costs 200$ a month for one person at most

sounds like this is extremely feasible...

But they should have a right to afford macintosh products and pepsi and live in manhattan

1,150.
Where do you live nigger?

How fucking stupid must you be to be sustained by min wage? Bernie appeals to the lowest common denominator.

40*4*7.50=1200

but I work full time at minimum wage and rent a 1br and put away half of what I earn in savings...

I take back what I said about min wage workers. We have a smart one here who has a plan for the future.

Taxes nigger

Who decided these jobs are meant for teenagers? There are plenty of adults working for minimum wage. Even if these adults were qualified for non-minimum wage jobs, there wouldn't be enough jobs for them.

Yes, thats true.
Great idea, lets halve the work force to increase the value of labour. Hmm. which people can stay at home in the kitchen...

I make $100k a year and I can't afford a 1BR

who the hell ever said that minimum wage should BE enough to live on? if all anyone ever needed to survive was to get a job at burger king flipping whoppers, then why the fuck would anyone even bother going to school, getting degrees, learning trades, etc? fuck this stupid ass "HURR NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO BE POOR" mentality

I charge $100 a week for my spare room. That's like half of someone's on minimum wage paycheck for my spare room.

-$300 for taxes.
You get that back at tax season but you lose it until then. What about utilities? How are you getting to work? Are you going to come home and stare at the wall every day after work or have something to do? Assuming 0 because some autist will claim they spend $0 on fun a month. How much do you put away for the inevitable "shit happens" event?

Its really not much to live on and its a pretty miserable existence.
I did it for a year our of college before I got into my career. You absolutely need a second job for some breathing room in the budget.

Min. wage is pricefixing

Those jobs don't hire teenagers. Idk about other places but here not even McDonald's will hire you without experience or a friend getting you in.

-$300? what shithole do you live in that takes 25% income tax?

Sounds like the commie wants price controls

It's almost like the job market is flooded with unskilled laborers.

I knew it!

Bernie has no testicles, you know.

Meh. I don't really about it.

>30%
Sounds weird to me. Converting to US dollars, I make about $1400/month after all deductions (taxes, healthcare, pension contribution), my rent is $415/month + $180/month in bills. I've bought a laptop recently, so I had two months to save enough money for the delayed transaction, which ended up being $590/month.
Still, I had enough money for food and I even put on some weight.
The bottom line is: stop eating at McDonald's and learn how to cook cheap and basic stuff.

Fair market rate is the average, isn't it? If you work at minimum wage you should expect to live in the cheaper apartments, and to potentially have roommates.
