laws of consent depend upon sexual willingness. when girls weren't going into puberty until 16 or 17 on average, they wouldn't generally have sexual willingness until that age, and the laws therefore were accurate. now girls are going into puberty much earlier, and indeed consenting to sex much earlier since that's what their biology is willing them and their fellow boys to do, fiat law or not

Growth hormone injected in chickens is causing it. Growth hormones in the chicken are still absorbed into the body upon consumption and the body uses that too. It's causing the earlier maturation periods for girls nowadays. Near-daily doses of hormones will do this. It's also having an effect on boys too: essentially making guys develop a bit later, but not to the inverse degree it has on the girls.
