My boomer landlord thinks its fucking fantastic that I can use my pissy little super savings to keep the housing market inflating.

Actually, I think investing in real estate and buying a home is the final redpill, since except you live in a natural disaster-prone area, a piece of real estate will always be valuable.

Been saying it FOR YEARS now! And as things get tougher for them they're still clinging to the BS fine I'm the 1970's like1. We need a republican pres (I argue that they all suck and we have a two headed one party system), 2. Things will get better after the election. (Riiiight), 3. Thinks running your own business retailing fucking yarn is the key to success, 4. Likes to say " Seen it before back in the 70's" it always gets better"

>Grows up in one of the world's best economies
>creates the worst global economy has ever seen
Oh, so now we can agree that a Republican economy works better than a Democratic one?

Millennial here.

Stop blaming your shortcomings on others and get your shit in order.

Yeah but it's illiquid and if you don't buy it right your stuck with it and you could go broke holding it.

Boomers = Millennials

Then you can set it on fire """accidently""" and claim the insurance money.

This guy gets it.

Don't worry you'll get there too when you realize everything is pretty much a dead end.

REMINDER that young boomers - people who are like 50 rn - some of them have it really shit.

I mean really shit. They really only had a small frame of time in the 90s to make mad money and credit, and even then it was prone to heavy losses early on.

Meanwhile, their social benefits will surely be much worse than those older.

Not to mention affirmative action and all that BS.

Oh, right. Good idea actually...

Homeowner at 23 here. Financed it with my own equity from working since 14. Stop making excuses faggots.

No such thing as a dead end. Literally impossible. There is always a way out, especially in the US.

You tipped your hand at the first example you collectivist fuckstick. Fuck off back to leftypol where you belong commie.

Yeah, but do you have a life other than making money for the oligarchs?

>25 and own six homes
git gud. renting masterrace.
>tfw already retired

Heard that. You're more like early Gen X ers

they are literally the worst pieces of shit in this county, over a certain age we should just kill everyone

t. Steve Stephens

Who helped, daddy or mummy?

>retired at 26

Pathetic. So you have no ambition?

>boomer parents got free Uni
>didn't help me pay for it
The boomer meme is 100% true.

Well, Bully for you. You got the last flight on Opportunity Air. No.matter what you say there's always a catch. What's yours???

Do you inbred retards think their is a meaningful difference

Yes, dems try to push degeneracy to the limit and reps try to push us back to the stone age

I'm in real estate. Easier said than done.

Its intergenerational robbery fucktard.
Boomers have made all the money they can. offshoring our jobs and replacing the ones left with cheap non-white labor.
Now they are just going to tell us to dump our retirement savings directly into their ponzi scheem, aka: the Australian housing market.

>rich millennial here
ftfy

>be a millenial
>use boomers as a reason to run away from working life and responsibility
>complain on the internet when nothing gets better
Sure enough, boomers fucked things up. They inherited an immense economic boom built on the back breaking labor of the Greatest and Silent generations. They took what they were supposed to cherish and ran it into an overdrive to milk themselves every drop of wealth they could until all that was left was an overheated wreck of an economy. I think part of the reason for that was the boomers' grim childhood (traumatized GI gen parents, bleak post-war economy) which they spent their adult life compensating for by accumulating money and power as much as they could. But that's all the more reason to game their system any way you can to gain the economic leverage. Once we have the control and boomers are pissing in adult diapers in retirement homes, we can get to fixing this shit. But there's no way doing that if ya'll rot at home playing shitty vidya and shitposting. Gen Z is with us, they've grown into the current culture of worthless consumer trash and lying media and seem to instinctually know that's all bullshit. We have to make sure Gen X which have wholly inherited the boomer greed and globalist agenda can't get to them.

Yeah, if you have no time constraints, no obligations, and no problem putting on a fucking monkey suit and selling hoagies door to door.

>Millennial here.

Why did you need to announce this? 99% of this site are millennials.

I actually do bretty good. I make 6 figures, it's leafbucks but I'm doing way better than anybody else my age (28). Most of my friends are working shitty part-time minimum wage and going to school for another useless degree.

I still think boomers fucked us over even if I'm one of the few lucky ones.

Millenialls are inheriting the biggest debt burden of all time. Thats why they are socially immobile.

Its a mathematically provable fact.

>Its a mathematically provable fact.

>Doesn't cite any sources or image to back his claim

Ok

>find entry jobs too expensive
>import shitskins instead of giving these jobs to your kids

By 2030 most boomers will be dead and white majority countries won't be a thing anymore.

I can understand and agree with some of the blame being on previous generations. There are plenty of things that can be blamed on Gen X and Millennials too though. Luckily I already own my house and can afford to buy my vehicles new outright. I'm feeling the fucking squeeze too as I've watched my property taxes go up by over two hundred burger bucks in the last five years (sooner than that really) per three month installment (1200 annually). It's fucking crazy.

Silent generation, gen x,y & z. Lets label ourselves and make it easy for the advertising community to fuck our arses.

Exactly. All you guys blaming your failure on "boomers" are just like niggers. Always someone else to blame for your misery other than yourselves. If you want to know why you're really a failure, look in the mirror

All of us pay the nigger tax though. It's gotten wto be way too much.

Did you know that people still use the same passwords for different accounts? I wonder how many of these twitter account holders use the same password for their gmail, gmx et al. Accounts.

People fucking learn to be a bit more diverse.

ok - Its well known.

The fact that you are completly unaware of the issues demonstrates your need to do more research on your own

>You really think someone would do that?
>Just go on the internet and tell lies?

Ok let's test your ability to dictate and present information

If you aren't copy pasting random things from threads you've saved and actually have an in depth understanding of the image you posted, explain to me what it means :)

It means you're fucked.

>Want to buy a home
>800k in Pozzbourne
>1.1 million in Shitney
>Prices rising 5% PER MONTH.
'Just live in rural annon, where youth unemployment is 20-30% and the median wage is 40k'...
'Just stop buying $20 smashed avacado breakfasts'...

>average millenial net worth is literally -40,000
>its the whole generation's fault

While our generation does need to get our shit in order... the fact of the matter is we are a product of our upbringing and are options are limited. Boomers failed to raise their children properly who then went on to fuck up millennials spectacularly.

I work within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry here and have an academic background in economics over all, I want to see how retarded this man is before I roast him my wetback friend

Whose fault is it that you didn't become a software engineer?

You ned to research on your own. Only you can teach you anything when it comes down to it. If you can't understand the national debt or the graph, then you are beyond my ability to help you.

But, national debt is the debt your nation is in. The more debt - the more devalued your currency is. The more devalued your currency is the more expensive the cost of living is especially in regards to buing a house or starting a family.
The graph shows the devaluation of the US dollar since it is the world reserve currency and all other currencies are pegged to it.

The pic related on this post is perhaps more on your level of intelectual understanding

The only good boomer is a dead one.

Don't let them play innocent they know exactly what they have done.

>work within the Chamber of Commerce
This says it all. You dont have a job. You are basically on welfare benefits. Your employer is insolvent.

You have no idea who I am or what I do, so I'd recommend not being so arrogant to assume anything about anyone on Sup Forums since we are all individuals

PS Mexicans aren't "wetbacks" if they are in Mexico

Im waiting for my "roasting"

**Waiting for the "you made a typo therefore your argument is invalid" bullshit***

Suuree

>have an academic background in economics
This is why you are ill prepared for economic reality. You have been brainwashed by the marxist lefty agenda. You are not educated you ae indoctrinated, hence your misplaced arrogance.

>Stop buying my 150 $20 smashed avacado breakfasts per year (I eat it every 2nd day).
>Save an extra $3000.
>$1,000,000 median house prices rise by 5%
>5% = $50,000
>'muh smashed av savings' aren't strong enough...
>t-the boomer advice isn't working...

My great grandfather taught my grand father how to hunt, fish, build a house, dig a well, maintain a car, carpentry, how to be a plumber and electrician. Great grandfather was a self sufficent superman (by today's standards).

Grandfather grew up in a safer/easier world. So he only taught my father carpentry, plumbing, fishing and how to be an electrician. All practical skills for the time period.

My father grew up during the 70s and 80s, there was no need to apply these skills in his daily life, you could just pay those lovely immigrants to do the jobs you didnt want to do, life was easy.

So what did he teach me? Nothing. Fucking nothing. A thousand generations of fathers teaching sons how to do basically everything and he dropped the ball because drugs, sex, and alchohol. It was the 70s/80s bro! No responsibilities man!

So here I am. At 18 what do I know about being self sufficient or independent. What skills has the former generation passed on to me to help me succeed? There are none. I'm a lone man with no skills or knowledge, 12 years of my life wasted in a public education system that doesnt even bother to teach you how to do your taxes so you can pay for it. Sure, I could go out and try really hard and learn everything on my own. But fuck it. It just isn't worth it. In my short life time, not once have I been convinced that I have or will ever have value. Nothing I do matters, being successful is too much work for too little payout. On the contrary, what they did teach us actively undermines us. We have to ignore our instincts and adopt socialist nonsense in the name of progress.

And you damn well know this isn't a unique story. We have a generation wide failure. Our parents and our government have failed to pass on the necessary knowledge to succeed, and only the very lucky or extremely masochistic/sociopathic are able to shift through all the bullshit and find a way out.

Fyi your house wont be worth nearly as much as you probably think it will when youre ready to sell/move. Real estate (atleast where i am) is fuelled by new construction. Noones buying if it aint new

Why do boomers insists I must invest in a retirement fund?

Any money I put in now will be long gone before it's my time to retire.

Because they know their reiremnt fund is already gone and their only hope to get it is to ensure younger people start putting money into retiremnt funds that they will get today, leaving nothing for you when you retire.

This is the same with the student loans and any / all debt really

>younger people start putting money into retiremnt funds that they (boomers) will get today

I've seen this exact shill post in every boomer thread.

But I did what muh boomer Dad said, I stoped eating muh smashed av...

>being cucked this hard

>not once have I been convinced that I have or will ever have value. Nothing I do matters, being successful is too much work for too little payout.

Too right mate. I'd rather put what little free time I have into actually enjoying this shit life, rather than extra hours prospecting new clients, or getting /fit/ to impress the female marketing managers of my prospects.

I've always told retirement people to fuck themselves. I haven't used welfare this far into life - I'll sure as fuck cash in on the welfare game when I'm old

By my calculations, living is the most retarded thing a millenial can do.

To be happy, which is the reason of our existence, all you have to do is eat, sleep and have sex, and I'm pretty sure that if you are between 23 and 30 years old, you are struggling achieving at least two of those.

This is the first generation that would be better off dead.

It's called a pyramid scheme.

>Sure, I could go out and try really hard and learn everything on my own. But fuck it. It just isn't worth it. In my short life time, not once have I been convinced that I have or will ever have value. Nothing I do matters
I was agreeing with you until you started whining like a baby.
kys if you're going to give up already

You may have a point about how we were raised, specifically about how, despite there being major economic downturns at LEAST every generation, there is still not mandatory financial education in schools. Bankers probably lobby for this kind of stuff to stay out of the curriculum because I know for a fact that banks intentionally mislead investors and customers, and they get away with it because we're financially illiterate. Blockchain technology is going to put them out of business but for the time being, a generation should be judged by how it adapts to changing and challenging circumstances. Every generation has major challenges to overcome. We aren't dealing with a war that kills a tenth of all males under 30 or a depression in which people are literally starving across the country.

When people are talking about the "debt burden" of our generation, how much of that common debt have individuals had to foot? Why did millenials pursue post-secondary education when they were in no financial position to afford it? Why did they pursue post-secondary education as if it guarantees them a good income job, when the statistics don't show that?

Look guys the plebbitors from the_ Donald brought their anti-boomer memes with them

Fuck nu-Sup Forums

redpill me on real estate
i know next to nothing about it, and everyone seems to brush it off as a 'get rich quick' meme

This.
This is the plan. They (school) don't want to teach you anything so you are forever dependent on them and they (the government) remain relevant.
My dad taught me nothing of being self reliant either.
Fortunately there are loads of youtube videos about prepping and bushcraft and outdoors "survival" things you can learn and do.
Its pretty cool - but its a shame we have to rely on strangers on youtbe to do what our families and society should be doing

>rich Millennial here because of parents

It's true though, remember the first time you saw $1000 in your bank account and said "HOLY SHIT!" out loud? That's pathetic in hindsight, but those are the victories we get as millenials. Excited about a fucking thousand dollars

Look up tutorials on youtube.

If you don't actually intend to use the property, it's no different from the wall street Jewry.

what properties do you own, if you own any
do you use them as a temporary asset, or a dormant form of revenue

>JUST STOP SPENDING ALL YOUR MONEY ON SMASHED AVACADO FELLOW MILLENNIALS & ALL WILL BE WELL IN YOUR LIVES!

should i buy 50 hectares in the middle of rural bumfuck nowhere for 70k? part of me wants to go completely off the grid. just get off this ride completely unabomber style

I think you're implying that you are useless because you were not taught basic skills by your father. Fair point. But that certainly does NOT excuse the fact that while baby boomers were not directly teaching you how to be self-sufficient in a practical manner, they were inventing the tools that made everyone - not just people with a wholesome home with mother and father to teach them - capable and have access to all the information that could possibly need.

The babyboomers created a system from which we can, with the click of a button, find out an unfathomably large amount of information about essentially everything known to man. My own father had a set of encyclopedias from 1973 that he browsed through the way you and I might look at wikipedia. He grew up on a farm with a good work ethic and just became a self-made millionaire.

Now do you think I would admire him if he had written in his journals in 1978 about how his father was too busy on the field swathing to teach him how to run a small business, and how to network with potential clients, and how to consult for major industrial companies? Of course not. We have all the tools and online infrastructure to be absolute geniuses. But we're bitching out because we're confronted with a more profound sense of nihilism than the last generation.

If you're gonna be a nihilist, go all in and don't bitch about what you're giving up.

i've always wanted to just save up a bunch of money and dump it into a few acres of land in the countryside, buy a cabin, maybe build one
really just wanna experience the peasant life, no more noblemen

I don't have the money to buy or develop it with my shit job.

All I'm saying is that if you are buying something, simply to sell it at a higher price later, it's functionally identical to playing the stock market.

This. People are not aware how much shit you can learn just by watching youtube tutorials. Not even memeing, you can learn almost everything from youtube these days. I remember some long time ago I learned how to do stencil graffiti from youtube.

Actually, hell, you can learn all sorts of shit even browsing different subboards on Sup Forums. Just browse /fa/ for how to dress properly. Browse /fit/ for dietary and training advice. Browse Sup Forums to find quality music. Browse /ck/ to find food recipies for a shoestring budget.

Gustav?

in laymen's terms yeah, it's all just a game of 64d chess in the stock market, start small, climb the ladder

>My father grew up on a farm with a good work ethic and just became a self-made millionaire.

How fucking dense can you be? Your father was not self made. He inherited the farm, he inherited the business connections, he inherited employees. Your father did not look up "how to run a farm" in an encyclopedia and become a millionaire.

And while we're at it, you can fuck off your rich entitled self-worthy self. Nothing pisses me off more than rich children. LEAF FUCK

Look at this arrogant wanker.

>"works" in Chamber of Commerce
>has an academic background in economics
>assumes Im retarded
>thinks he can demand to "test my ability"
>Is going to "roast" me

I explain my post and he shuts the fuck up.
What a little bitch.

Just so we all know - you cant "work" for an insolvent employer. If your employer is insolvent, you get made redundant, right? Wrong! If your employer is the government and you are in the public sector, you are basically on welfare benefits, only you have to turn up 35-40 hours a week and you get more money than "on the dole". But you are in effect stealing from all the taxpayers around you and from people who havent been born yet. By "working" in the public sector you are devaluing your currency since the currency is simply printed out of nothing to pay you and you are making life unaffordable for those who are contributing tax to the state rather than sapping off it.

Public sector "workers" are commie scum and need a free helicopter ride

Millennial here. Make good money own sick house. I still hate boomers OP is 100 percent correct. My boomer parents are so terrible managing their money in retirement too I told them I wasn't going to support them when they go broke.

Billionaire at 12 here. Financed it by selling dildos to sex starved middle aged women. Stop making excuses, cum guzzler!

ITT: /biz/

No he didn't. He moved to the city at 18, changed careers three times between 1986 and 1997, and started three businesses from scratch. He didn't inherit anything. Both his parents are still alive. He doesn't farm.

>And while we're at it, you can fuck off.

Dude, you're so off-base here I'm cringing. My dad built his companies from scratch while I was a child/teenager. I am keenly aware of how hard he worked at them and how many times he failed before they actually became profitable. So don't give me shit about me being entitled. I work a blue-collar job unrelated to his work, and have reluctantly declined his suggestions that I get involved in business somehow (because I don't like the business environment at all).

You're completely wrong on all counts here.

It's true. Stock market can fuck up. Commodities too. All investments come with risk, but you gotta live somewhere.

>father taught me how to tie knots, fish, clean and dress my catch, maintain tools, first aid, and basically everything you need to survive in the wilderness up to an including how to collect and harvest clean drinking water
>adopted progressive values up to a point
>was taught to value a person's character over their background
>educated me how the current economy was founded on bullshit, and how to navigate it ("Be your own best advocate, son. No one else will.")
>helped me develop my mind in terms of civics, philosophy, and economics
>did all this in 21 short years before he passed

Sorry your dad was a such a shitter bro

You know what's worse then being a millennial?

Being a millennial born in a 3rd world country (USSR of 80s)

Do it.

You need to learn how to make your text easier on the eye mate, that shit's horrible to look at.

Kek
