Have you considered that the fact that French elections are just around the corner has anything to do with it aswell? I mean I now cuckddit and alt-light flooded this place in the last month but French threads should rise in frequency either way at this time of the year.

Most likely the same reasons for both, but the ones who vote for Mélenchon are for more "diversity" and for Le Pen for less diversity.
To summaries : the main reasons are the ejection of the "old" and common politics with real democratical values : the listening/understanding of real people's problems and not just 100% blindly following the Europe and USA rules.
