The infuriating thing? They don't have 40 hours of work, let alone 60 a week to do. They're killing themselves with work related stress so that they can do unpaid overtime to do busy work. A significant political power in Japan prior to the military taking everything over and murdering their opposition essentially wanted to do that. They thought it was Japan's responsibility as the industrial power in the East to kick out the European and American colonizers and establish a sort of United States of Asia.
Of course, the military took over, and the military was completely batshit insane, which is how you had them invade China, blow up their own railroad and then blame it on China to further invade China. And no, Japan didn't stand a chance. Their chief strategic goal was to make such a mess of everyone else that it'd be inconceivable for them to do anything besides sue for peace.
If it's a conglomerate, and we're talking about a $5,000 fix it's probably some sort of vehicle. So either Toyota, Nissan or Mitsubishi most likely since it sounds like it's something like a heavy duty truck.
