well I prefer public transport. car traffic is a waste in a number of ways (cost of the cars themself, just the space the cars take up per human, fuel, environment, noise) and it's nicer to be in a city with less car traffic. it isn't as easily stowed away as a subway. I guess you could build a vast network of subterranean roads but I don't see what you'd be gaining.

Our city of 150k has an entire railroad system running through it, with multiple industrial stops. The whole thing was literally ran into the ground by California Northern Railroad, who did not want to spend $11MM on repairs. They shut it down in 2008 and it's been abandoned ever since. Shit could be used to connect to Amtrak lines and bring commuter trains into/out of town, but this fucking city is managed by a pack of thieves.

Good public transport has nothing to do with homogenous society. It has everything to do with how cities are built. Car companies literally lobbied to have cities built around cars here, which is why they're so spread out. This means that public transport sucks because anyone that's worth a damn has to have a car and the fact that they're so spread out makes public transport prohibitively expensive.

Obviously cars have their uses, but in large cities they only cause smog and unending traffic jams.

If we had advanced public transportation, all it would serve as is Dindu Delivery Systems so that shitskins have an easier time spreading out of their urban containment zones.

Manhattan has a much lower concentration of blacks than other cities with mass transit, like St Louis, Oakland, or Atlanta.

Memphis is one of the few crossing of the Mississippi River that has five class one railroads. UP, BNSF, NS, CN and CSX all have yards here. There's no room for more traffic, zero.

i live by one of the main subway terminals in toronto where the trains unload and people get onto busses heading towards the east and west ends.

Toronto is only 50% white.
