"your kidding right, (((who))) controls the music industry. (((They))) dont want white men looking alpha or attractive in anyway, thats why white men in (((popular music)) are hyper-feminised."

it's the RIAA

>from previous thread
"i fucking hate these tone deaf faggots. helicopter rides for all of them."
yep

I'm still surprised of how The Who paint the future.
youtube.com/watch?v=GgOyqdN2SaE

Progressive family create children in a lab, by error one of her daughters turns to be a boy, parents impose him to be a transgirl and the peepee has to go.

That last thread was a lot of fun.

And Cary Sherman is a censorship-loving, SOPA-supporting, former ADL bullet receptacle.

Jazz is shit desu.

Rock music, from the 50s to now is the best music of its era.

Rock music was shit in the 00s and the 10s, but pop music was at an all time low during those eras as well.

Kill yourself

>from previous thread
"ever listened to albert ayler, sun ra, thelonius monk, eric dolphy or bud powell? FFS its an AMERICAN artform?!?!?!?"

albert ayler: no...link? sun ra, thelonious monk, bud powell: big fan. eric dolphy: fan, but haven't listened to quite as much of his stuff. any links to their stuff will be appreciated.

okay :'(

youtube.com/watch?v=-Jh6wnmRbvQ

degenerate stuff

friendly reminder outlaw country is the most white form of music next to classical

youtube.com/watch?v=oj-w1JDCmAg

how is frank zappa degenerate? he didn't even do drugs or drink.

> Americana edition
> posts Hungarian waltz

>jazz
>not nigger tier degeneracy

Would you guys listen to red pilled hip hop by a white guy?

youtube.com/watch?v=6QEDb3xzdec

you clearly don't know how much work it takes to be come a proficient jazz musician

for sure

oh i love that song. haven't heard it in forever.

youtube.com/watch?v=xWsIG5sNq1Q
youtube.com/watch?v=ln8naZpOJ0o

Zappa was also a conservative.

>Describing his political views, Frank Zappa categorized himself as a "practical conservative". He favored limited government and low taxes; he also stated that he approved of national defense, social security, and other federal programs, but only if recipients of such programs are willing and able to pay for them.

>He favored capitalism, entrepreneurship, and independent business, stating that musicians could make more from owning their own businesses than from collecting royalties. He opposed communism, stating, "A system that doesn't allow ownership ... has—to put it mildly—a fatal design flaw."

>He had always encouraged his fans to register to vote on album covers, and throughout 1988 he had registration booths at his concerts

i love freddie hubbard.
youtube.com/watch?v=wA1ZelIbUfI

No. I actually just don't like hip hop/rap.

It's bad music, not just because it's about degenerate nigger things.

God fucking damnit I love Dave Brubeck.
youtube.com/watch?v=eVwkRU-iYg4

i can dig it

that song is literally making fun of cucks who cant get hard. you know nothing you degenerate cunt. also he didn't drink or take drugs, was a conservative and hated communism.

Great new music.

youtube.com/watch?v=G9x4k5p-9PM

Literally Sup Forums: the band

m.youtube.com/watch?v=wsWokJSLFMA

this was actually written by his saxophonist

Sup Forums can't even get into GOOD white music that's fucking pathetic

jazz is in fact white music badly made.
It's very common that someone learning how to play classical music by error make jazz music or sound like jazz.
Listen to what the computer delivers while is learning.
youtu.be/SacogDL_4JU?t=5m54s

Don't be such a dick. Expand your worldview a little. Try Sinatra, Mel Torme, Chet Atkins for old school and if you want newer start with Pat Metheny Group. Earlier stuff is really accessible.

youtube.com/watch?v=9O7wn9XCf2k
youtube.com/watch?v=fp7SZvGlB8Q

>not even knowing about old-time music

holy shit you guys need an American music history education ASAP

youtube.com/watch?v=JLUJI3SAFKs

Skillet Lickers are classic old-time hillbilly music (wait til the vocals come in).

kek, getting backlogged a bit with youtube links. in the meantime. what are your opinions on the state of affairs in today's music industry?

>it is difficult to learn scales unnatural to the European mind
>therefore its good

>listening to music that was written after 1880

Fucking disgusting, always knew Sup Forums was full of subhuman degenerates

reminder if your not listening to Wagner, you may as well be the bluest pilled cunt out there. Get amongst it you fucking pussies.

youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV9AAkV2HThlMTWVqbP81APxLQUbJOSEQ

Is that his actual voice or a character? If it's his actual voice get a new singer. If it's a character, never do that character again.

THIS

youtube.com/watch?v=AY3LJWi4va0

this

clearly you know nothing about music if you think a scale is unnatural to the european mind. all scales were invented by europeans, hell even greeks over 2000 years ago knew most if not all of the scales.

KYS FGT

That last Metropolitan Opera production of The Ring was degenerate trash and conductor James Levine is a ping ponger.

Wagner's best ride (from Apocalypse Now):
youtube.com/watch?v=g6gcz4hdLA8

Is Billy Joel degenerate?

"God will Fuck You Up"

fuck modern versions, i only listen to the german press vinyl editions. any other country doesn't understand the mindset of a 15 hours 4 part opera.

I was referring to Jazz scales you stupid idiot

>state of affairs

thankfully it's dying off. internet killed it with decentralization. "labels" and "radio" will be archaic relics in 10-15 years.

i believe we're in a "Dark age" of music, due to perhaps, "capitalism" or (((capitalism))) wrt the music industry.

"music industry" is dying, though, and thankfully we will soon re-enter an age of musical discovery and innovation (good innovation, not the 2nd viennese school variety)

1)
>unironically racist against europeans
2) i, for one, enjoy a challenge
3) it's all math and yea, math is hard. man up.

ride of the valkyries, the original version has vocals, the most popular one usually omits the vocal parts.

Oh man, it was crazy. I was there. The singers all had lav mics. Shit's bonkers.

>Is Billy Joel degenerate?
I never could stand that Easy Listening / Adult Oriented Rock. IMO, it blows because it's weak, watered-down pap. Billy Joel = The Eagles = Fleetwood Mac = REO Speedwagon = Journey and all those other shit-tier bands from the 1970s.

But, hey, to each his own.

A little, but compared to modern music he's a saint, and the music is good anyway.

>compared to modern music
You don't listen to modern music.

whole half scales? dominant minor scales? whole tone scales?

please tell me more? debussy used these scales and he was fucking french ffs

Take Five - at least the original by Brubeck, as I've heard stellar interpretations of it by others such as Patrick J. Murphy - might be the weakest jazz standard there is, and without a doubt the most overrated.

>albert ayler
i don't really like free jazz. moving on to the dolphy

That's because rock didn't really get hard until after Billy Joel's time.

The 70s started to make rock harder, but it didnt really start getting really headbang worthy until the 80s

>written in 1945:
youtube.com/watch?v=7jwml0jevv0

Always knew british mohamads have no clue about good music. Let the real men (German, French, Austrian, Russians, Poles) compose music. You bongs stick to importing muslims.

on second thought, no. i like it, but i don't have time to listen to the entire album.

>the most popular one usually omits the vocal parts
the most popular one usually has the helicopter parts

If its a challenge its because most guitarists don't learn jazz as their first genre so they have to retrain their fingers to move in ways they are not used to. In any case the music is still degenerate garbage.

What do you mean by this? My siblings all love modern pop, so I know what's kind of shit they sing about.

fair enough, its not for everyone. you do have to listen to it VERY loud. it helps

This shit is fire

youtu.be/K8zbaTT9aCg

Absolutely sickening modernist trash, literally worthless

Metamorphosen is great but it's also completely out of step with the music of that time.

Schoenberg, Webern, and Messiaen were already writing their music.

>claims to be redpilled
>not listening to Jew-free music that honors your ancestors and their culture.
youtube.com/watch?v=zdU1fVzARFc

That's not modern music, that's modern mainstream pop. You know approximately 0.01% of modern music.

the challenge isn't learning the scales you dumbfuck. the challenge is assimilating of of jazz history into your brain so you can improvise interesting melodies without thinking about it and making it sound as if you wrote the melodies.

The Who is perhaps the best example of Classic Rock masculinity.

I took the tube back out of town
Back to the rollin' pin
I felt a little like a dying clown
With a streak of rin tin tin

I stretched back and I hiccupped
And looked back on my busy day
Eleven hours in the tin pan
God, there's got to be another way

youtube.com/watch?v=bpYrarilXe4

I have a thing for 2hu ost

youtube.com/watch?v=TAy3nlATLkk

Yall actually listen to classical music? That's kind of insane

youtube.com/watch?v=UKuc4nfJByc

anyway im out, i have to be at work in 4 hours and im yet to sleep because i played FUCKING MUSIC ALL NIGHT AS MY 2ND JOB CUNTS. YOUR ALL PLEBS KILL YOURSELVES

youtube.com/watch?v=DPBKukl0oc4

>improvise interesting melodies without thinking about it

Sounds pretty nigger tier desu

Anyway, to contribute, Jo Stafford was the queen of Midcentury American Traditional Pop.

She was trained as an Opera singer but presumably found vast opportunities to shine in pop (and later, jazz vocals).

youtube.com/watch?v=R-HJvrZQPYA
youtube.com/watch?v=RxZXfrnXhfs
youtube.com/watch?v=CwyZyDD6Yqw

Drake White, Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson are some good examples of good modern music

youtube.com/watch?v=jRhVwdTA5Zk

fuck yeah everyday i listen to it.

youtube.com/watch?v=ZIUCRXMM4pE

you actually have no idea do you. you should stop contributing to a discussion about music.

>and nothing of value was lost

>no Southern Gothic
>no vaporwave
Shit thread

i meant mainstream music, obviously. Stop being such a fucking stickler.

I listen to rock from the 50s to now, I don't claim it's redpilled though. Give me some modern music that is redpilled.

cliche chord progression

ai still sucks at music composition

good shit
saw him live at least once.

idk much of his stuff, but i like 'in the middle of the night'

lol that would be worse.

>thread moving so fast
>trying to at least keep up with the (you)s

>jazz
>music

As a jazz guitarist, what in the holy fuck are you talking about?

All chord progressions are cliche'.

absolutely not. i make new unique ones all the time (i think)

The world would be a better place if we banned all forms of music except for anime music and thus had an anime music renaissance in the West.

Some are more cliche than others.
