Are you graduating high school? I'm talking to you

Go ROTC. Or go to a trade school. Learn skills. Get certified in a trade. BE SOMEBODY.

College, at this point, is little more than commie victimhood indoctrination. It is very hard to see that in high school. Your approval is a letter on your paper and a grade-point average. PLEASE STOP BEFORE COLLEGE PLEASE.

Your professors are being paid to live not-too-poverty lifestyles. They're pissed and preach you garbage, because their meager paychecks depend upon it.

Anectode. Talked to a successfull woman today with no college education who works for a college, which gave her child discounted tuition. Her daugher wants to pursue the same field her mother is in, but had NO SKILLS AT ALL. She is going to move back with her mum. Her SUCCESSFUL mum. Who saw past the bullshit and knewher daughter would come out of higher education USELESS to the world. She unfortunately did not see the victimhood, self hating Indoctrination.

She knows her daughter hates her, because she has a job and is sucessful.

Pray for the her mother, please. She is a good person who saw reality too late for her daugher. (And will now have to let the sniveling little entitled ass move back in. She is very kind and loves her daughter.)

I'd say go to university and become a high-school teacher. I'm so far right of Genghis it's not funny. Nearly all teachers are left so it's up to us to balance the equation! Join me in pedagogy and the job of red-pilling the youth from within the leftist institution itself.

I'm fem. (yes, I know I am about to see ten tits or gtfo post.) Sedondary education is too much for me. Those kids are huge and out of control. You make a good point. Men who major in secondary education COULD make a difference... If they'te not charged with child abuse for taking little Jonny's phone away. I say screw college. Scree education. Leave them with nothing to work with. Home school or private school.

Dang. A solid lesson in the errors of passionately typing and not going back to check for ignorant errors.

Bumping because if I can get just ONE young person to ask questions this is worth it.

Are you leaving high school thinking the world is your oyster? Or are you leaving thinking you are: a woman who can never be anythng, a minority who can never be anything, or that dreaded white male knowing everybody hates you? COLLEGE IS A BIG NO.

Last desperate bump. (I apologize to mods.)

Please do not go to college if you want to be SOMEBODY. Anybody I know who recently "servered their time" cannot find a job because they were not taught skills. They are upset and wanting to blame the world. This is what that bike lock slinging degenerate likes. They want to send you to the front line. Do their dirty work while they hide behind their masks and peach extremism in their "classes." College is cancer. GET OUT NOW.

dropped out of high school. became a diesel mechanic making 100k+ year

Excellent. You are the salt of our earth. Glad you are getting paid what you should be. People need to know this. (Sorry for potentially introducing more competition, lol.)

>College, at this point, is little more than commie victimhood indoctrination.

Please tell me what an american usually means when they say "college". What is the majority of students studying there?

Would you discourage anybody from studying mathematics, for example, or computer science?

The problem is these fields are being "taught" with hypotheticals that manage to worm in indoctrination.

I will admit that sciences are the last battleground.

R u the mom? please show your boobies

But in all good conscience, I have to confess I spoke to a successful graphic designer today who's daugher is "graduating knowing el zipo NADA about how to function". Her mother has scheduled online training certification programs that she has taken herself. Her mother is a graphic designer. Her daugher has NO grasp of Abode. Four years... Yayl college.

This hurry please

You don't need college to get jobs?

Look, this is rubbish.

It seems to me like nearly everyone who inveighs against college on this board has no idea what they're talking about, at all. Which really shouldn't come as a surprise, but...

The people who are going to develop radical politics are going to basically self-segregate in certain programs anyways. It's not some institution-wide indoctrination. Anyways, the people who are actually developing critical thinking and analysis skills can (presumably) ascertain what is indoctrination and what is not, and will come out with experience and marketable skills to position themselves above their peers, no matter the program.

I love Japan. Lol. Never change!

LOL SO FUNNY
THAT GUY IS TOTALLY JAPANESE

Im planning on becoming a teacher after i retire. Im in law enforcement so ill be able to retire at 50. That should give me a few more years to fight the disease of liberalism that infects our schools. I'm thinking history.

i basically only went to college because my parents paid and it was socially expected. at this point it might be better to just get a trade.

>be humanities major
>just signed up for my union mandated™ classes for next semester (going to be a sophomore) on wednesday
>tfw picking my (((social science))) and (((global issues))) classes
fuck i hate it
i'd kill myself if i had to be a STEM autist though

I think people like that exist everywhere. Attending college or trade school, you need to apply yourself to benefit from an education.

I am completely on board with you.

BUT.

They are being taught little more than to write their professors happy papers to GET THE GRADE.

Higher eduction is not higher education anymore. It is basically getting admission to a univertiety you have connections with, saying what they want you to, and establishing connections. For your future.

Few skills are beng passed along, other than to kiss teacher and almni ass for same think.

>Last desperate bump
you can't bump your own threads newfag

sage

Your opinions are worth less than garbage.
>spoke to a successful graphic designer
>implying you have amounted to nothing
You may as well tell all the younganons to be massive failures like yourself, resorting to sex to prove their worth.

*spreads super fat basemenent dweller cheeks so as to fart warmly onto your face*

This is important. Higher education has become little more than Marxist victimhood indoctrination. People leave in debt and look at he world with their useless skills and think, "Yes. I am a victim. SOCIALISM!!!"""

im literally a retard at math.

Dont think I'd be good at a trade.

I usually find fake news from CNN, but it's cute how you reply to me and do so with fabricated quotes.

stinky roastie do you know where you are

I would put money on you being single.

Seriously, lurk moar. This is already too easy, not even fun. If you are gonna shitpost with the boys, first don't announce you are a woman unless you show your tits, even though I put my money on I wouldn't want to see them anyway as you come off as a whale looking to be accepted. Second, craft your insults, they are way too weak (although they will get better, IF YOU LURK MOAR).

what are you a roastie too?

filth

m8 the only roasting that happens is when your mom burns coal.

Weep! Weep! Weep! Virgin alert.

What did she mean by this?

I see some derails here. I am serious about please reconsidering a path in higher education. Don't just leave high school and wander into "next high school" (aka college). Please please look at other lucrative options. Stop listening to other people bitch about how much the mechanic or plumber charged. Look into those jobs.

What I was getting at is that just doing one or the other isn't the solution to the problems you describe. The outcome could still be a total failure after learning a trade and not finding employment (if you don't take the education seriously), or successfully getting into a position that requires some kind of degree to get the doors open, even when you're not working in the same field you studied.

I absolutely agree with the advice of considering all options and not blindly drifting through life. Having a plan is very important.

Most people hiring look for experience. Most undergraduate degree programs do not mandate "practicum" (aka, turning them loose in the field). There is typically a "special problems” you can register for to afford you real world experince if somebody will take you on.

I see. I always viewed the final thesis you write as part of your university education to be the skipping stone into the next thing you do -- and solving an industry problem for that yields the experience and references to get you a job, if you don't want to continue in academia.

Maybe there's not enough time in this newfangled bachelor/master system, who knows.

Better than my mum who pushed me into college even though it's shit. I've only got two more semesters, which just skirts the edge of profitable value proposition for a piece of paper. At least I went to a cheap uni so I won't be a debt slave into my 30s.
