So I'm a bit uninformed about the recent situation in the US.
I see that are a lot of antifa and Trump supporters on Sup Forums and I decided to create this thread and ask all of you about your beliefs, political views, etc.
So what do the antifa guys try to achieve on the streets? Who attacks who? How could this situation end?
I guess this whole antifa thing is about breaking Trump, right? Do they want another president?
I really have no idea what's going on, so please, both sides, explain the whole situation for me! While I like memes as well as the next user, try not to force them ITT - I want a serious discussion.
My last memories are about Black Lives Matter riots. Did that thing end at all? What happened?
And how this whole antifa thing started? Were they there all along or is this a new thing?
I seriously have no idea. Pls explain!

There are a handful of retarded college kids scattered here and there who tie handkerchiefs around their mouths once a month and pretend to be hardcore for an hour or so. long enough for a reporter to come by and snap a few pics to sell to all the newspapers as the story of the fucking century. Antifa are leftists who've effectively lost their minds. They've bought into the craziest of leftist ideals and think that anarchy is a viable outcome. They're basically teenagers and adult children whose ideology has made them vulnerable to manipulation by other parties.
Various powers whose goal is not anarchy have convinced the anarchists to further their ends. La Raza, Socialist/Communist parties, BLM, and the Jews have all taken advantage of Antifa at various times. They've been turned into the footsoldiers of much stronger forces who wish to see a tide of violent 'rebellion' wash across the country.
But mostly, they're all just throwing tantrums because their ideology will never gain a foothold in the USA.

They come in from time to time, but don't stay long. I think there's maybe 10-15 of them coordinating on discord. They try to slide threads they don't like, or to change the subject to something less threatening to their movement.
They also post interracial porn or other bait threads. They think this pisses us off.

They're young leftists who've been entirely brainwashed into the social justice narrative and have taken it to the extreme. they spray paint hammers and sickles and hold communist as well as anarchist flags. they believe the system must be torn down (just like they're fucking told to do so..."the white supremacist patriarchy must be smashed" etc), and believe that violence is needed to do so. most of them are completely autistic. here are two videos of the recent event, the first one has a brief interview with an anti fa member, who says "the revolution isn't fuckin easy"
99% of the time when independent reporters try to get a statement they're just silent. in the post modernist spirit, to them dialogue is just another power game and isn't valid.

I live in the Bay Area 20 mins from Berkeley and nobody talks about it. I hear about occasional "Walk for immigrants" because of how many buttmad spics there are but besides that I don't hardly hear anything politics related as of late.

Their political ideology can be summed up in a few words: "You should read ___". They just read some books at one point, thought they seemed reasonable/edgy enough, and never bothered to think about it again.
It's now more of a 'lifestyle' than an actual political movement. They don't think about politics aside from reading the opinions handed down from on high. They have their 2-3 blogs they treat as gospel truth, and figure they can just parrot those hand-me-down opinions and pass as 'well informed'.
Everything bad that happens in the world can be tied back to some decision the President made, or some faceless corporation. Something bad happened in Africa? Well, in 1978, we signed an agreement with them to import their goods. This led to a price drop, which led to paramilitary juntas controlling the population during hard times. Then that paramilitary organization gained political power, and installed it's leaders into public office. Since then, they've been keeping all the money for themselves, but since we still get imported goods from them it's totally our fault for signing an agreement with them in 1978.
See how informed I must be? I can tell you about a 40 year old deal. I can make logical connections between disparate events. I am aware of their internal political struggle, as well as the source of conflict that led to many deaths. I must have a really big heart, and a passion for learning about the world. I must be an intellectual elite. That raises my personal capital.
Nevermind that I read it on some blog and can only recite the bullet points that may or may not be true at all. I wouldn't know. I just read this stuff so I can regurgitate it and sound well-informed.
That's Antifa. That's the whole of their worldview. It must have gotten them laid a few times, so now it's the core of their identity.

They discuss their views internally. They consider them incontrovertible, outwardly. So they'll discuss fine points of their ideology - "How best to bring about communism?" - "How can we make this a borderless world without corporate control?" - stuff like that.
But they don't debate the broader objectives with anyone. They are true. They are right. They cannot be questioned without making you evil. And that's why they choose violence. They cannot stand to hear it questioned, just like Muslims can't stand to see Mohammed represented in a drawing. It's a religious impulse that bypasses logic and goes straight to their subconscious. They have reflexive responses to any challenges to their broader worldview.
They're seeing the reign they've held on politics for the last decade slowly falling apart. Their righteous goals are not coming to fruition. Their political enemies are winning, and winning big. Nothing they SAY can change that. So what options do they have left?
Let the world become 'evil'? Let 'evil' men win? No. Even if it doesn't change anything, they must lash out. It's their moral duty.

After watching the videos, I noticed that every time an antifa gets dropped, a girl comes running up telling the trumpers to stop (and they do). Somehow, I doubt that the antifa would stop if the roles were reversed.
I think they have girls roaming to take advantage of the fact that the trumpers won't hit a girl. That's probably what moldylocks was doing when she ran face first into a fist.
It's brilliant on their part if it goes unnoticed.
