What's their endgame...

What's their endgame? Are they going to keep the relatively free market forever while maintaing a strong authoritarian government or are they using their current system to grow and give the good ol' socialism another shot whenever they feel they are "ready" again?

Bonus question: Where would you put contemporary China on the political compass?

They are desperately trying to hold themselves together while maintaining the look that they are in fact doing extremely well

China is gonna have big changes sometime in our lifetime since their government has reached the point of blind desperation to remain in power

They're waiting for Western Civilization to finish committing suicide, then they'll exterminate the African population and colonize the continent.

their lategame is virtually impossible. they have the usual ultimate capitalist society now, with an idiot class who do all the work for no pay and a spoiled class who sell what the idiots made. maybe they can turn into a regular developed country with a big middle class somehow, I don't know economics that well

the only way they get anything more than almost nothing for their people is that they become the workshop of the world, but that means a massively wealthy and completely corruptible merchant class with loyalty only to its shekels, will will eventually bring the country down by infighting

People have been predicting China is six months away from collapse since the early 90s, the truth is even small shithole towns in the interior are rapidly developing and they've got nowhere to go but up.

Some people say the Communist party is actually seen as a continuation of the empire in China. They will have support by the people as long as China is doing well. So there would be no 'endgame' really. Not sure if this patriotism (for lack of a better word) can hold in the future under all circumstances but it seems many in the west underestimate it.

They will collapse when America collapse. Their lifelines are intrinsically tied. A nation with zero ability to innovate cannot survive on its own.

The problem if politically analysing China is that the whole Western system of nations and states derived from Westphalia is tangentially tagged on in recent history at best.

Is it possible for Chinese people to undergo a cultural revolution in the sense that they would start to question authority on a massive scale?

they would be put in the prison camps. maybe if the actual leader at the time pushed for it but I doubt it, looking at their history it appears that their cohesion is very important.

t. know almost nothing but want to bump

They've completely fucked our housing market, prices are sky high because the Chinese keep buying properties as investments

>I will never own a home

The woke ones just migrate abroad. Any citizen with the slightest capacity to rouse rebellion is swiftly eliminated by the surveillance state

Chinese working population has peaked out since 2012, but still their economy relies on real estate industry.
So I think they will have difficult time in 2020s.
China should move to a democracy nation with federation system early.

I'll finish this thread for you OP
>China is going to collapse in 6 months guise

>greedy Aussies selling to Chinks in the first place

Ok now I'm curious, what is tagged on to what? You mean the western nation idea is tagged on to China? But not quite fitting?

Mind you, what I wrote in my other post is just sth I picked up, I think from an Economist article. Would you basically agree with this view?

>with what army?
This is RL not an anime.

Looks like it was translated on google translate lmao

Collapsing every year since 1959.

I've visited both mainland and Taiwan, and holy fuck it is night and day!
I learned that Taiwanese girls were way fucking hotter, and the dudes I talked to all really liked airsoft for some reason.

I have heard my Taiwanese friend call the DPP "the KMT's retarded cousin"

>voted in an old feminist because "Beijing hates her"
>her approval ratings dropped like a rock when it turns out she can't do shit about anything but attack her political opponents and be "progressive"

...

Lol good on you bro! You got me there!

Han Chinese are pushing their nationalism through the commie regime.

Only a matter of time till they collapse and Balkanize.

china is a very vague country, it's citizens might be chinese, but they arn't actually the 100% carbon copy of the han group that started the first few dynasties.

Imagine if the LARPing of the HRE never ended, and instead all of europe identified itself as roman, you sort of get china
