I am not a fan of every hitting anyone but there are a few people on the face of the earth (and many are women) whose tongues are so cruel and abusive and obnoxious that I'd actually rather be slapped. Not by Godzilla, mind you, I don't want to be knocked down, but a light slap would be hella better than a shit ton of verbal abuse.

Holy fuck yeah perfect description of how my mom was. She was so fucking obnoxious and had a lot of tenacity when it came to verbally attacking people, literally would NOT stop until someone either screamed at her so loudly she fucked off or it escalated and she got hit.
