A good analogy is from the sci-fi novel series Dune where part of the series revolves around Leto Atreides II who becomes an immortal god who controls the world with his ability to foresee all eventualities. The United States does this through war, the threat of war and occupation.
We are stripping people of their sovereign freedom to be self-determining creatures. We interfere with other countries we have no right to in order to maintain a false peace under threatened destruction. While we occupy and hold power we extract resources from said countries not just from raw materials, but also in the form of democratic, capitalistic, consumerist society farmlands like how Japan or South Korea operates today.
People's lives (even our own) feel empty because we are stagnant in the stage of progression in our society and rapidly the world at large. People's souls are literally rotting because we put them in a prison with a television, a computer and a bottle of alcohol and naked woman.
This is so unnatural...All empires are unnatural. The idea of bringing peace to the masses under the giving of comfort and safety is a lie because the human soul (inb4 atheists btfo) is rotting under these conditions.
We are supposedly operating under the ideology of a moral net positive, but how can we know? How can we know that what we are doing was ever right. What you just described was pretty much the Roman Empire 2000 years ago. Rome constantly waged war (and were good at it) on a pre-emptive basis and the argument was self-defense from surrounding empires.

Again, no. I realized that even the guise of "world peace" is a corrupt ideal. The means by which we think world peace is achieved is not the way it actually is achieved. Governments are hypocritical because they say they are bringing peace but they bring war and remove the resources and values from the "protected". The way kings used to use the military to "protect" the surfs from bandits, the bandits were under the power of the king and sanctioned to operate in order to maintain the fear of ravage so that people would willingly pay tax.
Sovereign moral nations and sovereign pure moral races operating under a sovereign moral ruler, each separated by geographical boundaries who do not interfere after the natural boundaries are created.
But even this scenario can never really exist because resources are limited, or seemingly limited. Man cannot seem to co-exist in equilibrium with his environment. He is master and keeper of his environment but oftentimes just chooses to be master. He pillages the land as if he was a bandit himself and the land were a random passerby. But man is tied to the land and when the land dies, so does man, it is inevitable.
Since man cannot seem to exist in equilibrium with his environment he must extract resources from his neighbors at whim and this leads to conflict.
Man fails in his caretaker role of the lands given to him, man fails in his role as caretaker of his family and community and country. Yet assumes that with enough wealthy and enough weapons he can force people to be slaves to him so he can live as king.
It is a complete inversion of harmony.
