Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:

Communism and ideologies stemming or leading to it are doomed to fail as long as humans are humans. In both good and bad traits.
First, it is based upon idea of resource redisitribution according to needs, not potential or achievements generating wealth. Not only it is naive as the ones on top decide needs and easily exploit whole system, it doesn't take into account natural, inherent traits of people governing all such things - preferentialism, greed, ambition. Some may try to divert it (directing for example ambition into some national achievement thing rather than personal power and wealth) but it never works well and for long without creating conflicted or downright half-crazed drones unable to keep the country together or turning into dictatorship where everything sucks for anyone but a few governing the others.
People say that it's because communism never were done 'right', the way it was suggested to work in theory. Obviously. But they forget that it won't be ever made 'right' because it's inherently unrealistic and not fitting for humans. Sure, other systems of government have also their issues and don't work as well as the theory suggests, but they still work better than communism ever will, which is why most places which experienced and know communism stick to them rather than reverting back. Same with my country, I was alive when the communism was ending and remember few years of remnants of it. It's crap, don't do communism to yourselves.
