No, if you research the battle of peleliu you will know they only went for the airfield and "the point" which was a massive mountain the Japanese used as a artillery position.
The Japanese were very clever at creating small bases and outposts.

I didn't really "carry" it, I dragged it. It was very nicely preserved though, mostly because the cave was blocked by some rocks. And that must of effected the preservation process, also the temperature was much cooler inside the cave.
He wasn't perfectly preserved though, obviously. His skin had turned grey and his eyes where rotted completely.
