People with leftist views almost never have reason or "consciousness", when it comes to free thought. It is why they contradict themselves on multiple issues. A moral / emotional reason? If you put yourself and your feelings to the heart of your thoughts and perspectives, you start to notice patterns and behaviors of thinking and feeling within yourself. You start to notice your own nature and emotions, and why you feel the way you do.

Basically, try to be more thoughtful with yourself, as if you are speaking directly to your own personality.

It may not be the right answer most, some may not be able to think with themselves internally honestly. ( not saying you ) Just giving you my own opinion from my experience :)
