I've lived in two (one white, one non-white) countries other than Canada, and I was really surprised at just how homogeneous it was. Not like it solved any problems though, cause half of any population is still retarded.

I think Montreal is the most diverse city in the world and I love it where I live.

I love Montreal, for sure. Food costs are too high, though. Rents are abnormally low, good and bad. Language laws are stupid, and construction companies have a major choke hold on the whole province. Too many issues with certifications and regulation have created major problems. Consider that Quebec has the highest taxes in Canada and the lowest salaries, there's some major problems here. I LOVE Quebec, but we need a Le Pen here badly.

Here's the trick, though: it works if everyone is pretty well off. This is a rich area with tons of federal money and federal jobs. Nobody has time to be mad at each other because there's no lack of work and cash. If there are any allah ackbars here I've not met em. By which I mean there are a lot of middle easterners here but it's honestly hard to say if they're Muslim or not. Most of them fit in well (or keep to themselves).

But I wouldn't want open borders or to be where Germany and France are going.

I also wouldn't want to be in areas of California where instead of "multicultural" it has just become "latino".

Multicultural is okay if they are spreading out. But big clumps of one foreign culture is a problem.

It sadden so much how bad corruption is where in Quebec that I want to get a lawyers degree just to change some of the laws. When you looks deeply into it, you realize that that educational system is shit just so that people don't realize how corrupted the system actually is. It's really depressing to be honest.

Do you mean in general groceries store? I can't relate to the rest of Canada because I've never lived anywhere else. For the restaurant however, it mainly depend to wear you decide to eat. I mean my opinion are biased due to the same reason as above, but if you know where to eat, you can get some neat quick snacks that are both good and don't cost much.

I enjoy talking to people from everywhere, I really do. I love people. However, I don't necessarily want them to be changing my laws or overriding my culture with theirs. I'll go there to experience their culture, they can come here to experience mine. It's great :D. Then we all go home.

If the person is prepared to contribute and adjust to our culture and our laws, then they can come here, no problem, but otherwise - no. It's that simple. I would expect to have to do the same if I moved there.

Don't cost much in comparison to other places in Montreal, but when you compare food costs here to other places in the world? It's astronomical. Even if you shop sales - which you pretty much have to do - it's crazy expensive. Grocery stores and restaurants. Even McDonald's is around twice as expensive, or more, as it was when I lived in Florida.

In fact, when I travel, it's great. I save so much money on food - no matter where I go - it mostly pays for my trips.

You do see some hot non-whites now and then. But if you're a nobody like me it doesn't really matter one way or the other since you don't talk to people regardless of their race or religion.

Yeah I know that if you compare it to the USA we're getting absolutely fucked. I think it's mostly due to the poor value of the CA dollar compared to the US dollar. I am curious about the general cost of food in the other provinces of Canada though. You're right about shopping sales at the store, it's a must. Personally I don't have major problem with it since I know how to cook and I don't mind to take my time if I know I'll save a couples of bucks. Yes, I am kind of a jew about that.

It's not the exchange. Even when the USD and CAD were about even, the food costs were insane. I, also, love to cook :D. Ontario is a bit better than here. Still not as good as other places in the world, including the USA, but better. Ontario has better roads, pays, and healthcare, too. With lower taxes. At the same time as they are feeding money to Quebec because Quebec is constantly coming up short. Not that I like Ontario better, I don't, but I'd like to see some of our more serious problems get resolved.

Honestly, Quebec has a lot of power politically throughout Canada. A Quebec Le Pen would be amazing on all fronts here. Like a weak point into the whole country. If Le Pen wins, Quebec will follow.
