Do you ever feel the burning need to live somewhere like the Roman Empire, or somewhere in Europe prior to the 18th century?
I was on a road trip last year, and developed this obsession with the French countryside. Which lead me to street viewing it often, and there's just something so mystical about it. (pic related) If I was promised access to modern healthcare and a one-way trip to Western Europe in the 18th century or before, I would take it instantly. I hate how in modern times you're so connected with the world, obstructed by bureaucracy and regulations. Nothing is hard to do and nothing is new to anyone. It's boring and it kills me inside. I just want to be a simple man doing simple stuff.
I would start growing vegetables and/or fruits in Southern France, and I'd sell them at the markets. One day after collecting enough wealth I'd move into one of the big cities.
In the future rich people will plug in into simulations of the past.

Yeah ive been thinking how nice it'd be to go tenting near river with some utilities, punching bag and food and just be there for weeks.
Logan Myers
Yeah, I get that feeling going through our countryside. I'd love to go back a couple of hundred years, buy a shit tonne of land and just live off it.

Lets roll

I aint got no fucking hobby if not counting lifting as its way of life.
Michael Sullivan
I'd definitely go back to 15th century Italy.
Benjamin Sullivan
>I would start growing vegetables and/or fruits in Southern France, and I'd sell them at the markets. One day after collecting enough wealth I'd move into one of the big cities. With commie gov stealing you half of your money, hardly. Fuck Commie Le Cuck and Macaroni the commie.
Gabriel Price
>Macaroni HOW DID WE NOT THINK OF THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?
Aiden Hall
Yes, that is today. Le Pen and Macron did not exist during the 18th century.
Nicholas Martinez
Do you have any idea how horrible it would be living in an era without anesthesia?
Matthew Ross
>If I was promised access to modern healthcare >If I was promised access to modern healthcare >If I was promised access to modern healthcare
Robert Baker
That's literally all I need to move to the 18th century immediately.
Andrew Robinson
Yes especially in the past months
Leo Lopez
>move to the 18th century IMMEDIATLY >access to modern healthcare How high are you ?
Ayden Lee
Yes
>nothing is new This pains me more than anything. The age of physical discovery is over.
Aaron Lee
Jesus fuck Pierre. If I was given a deal - a deal in which I get to live in the 18th century BUT only I happen to get modern healthcare in that time, I would take it immediately.
Ryan Scott
>not becoming gods in their own matrices you set your sights so low
James Sanchez
That is what (((they))) want to destroy. You need to live in a overcrowded 90 degree angle Environment from inox, concrete and Glass, playing with your screen toys.
Brayden Scott
Just move to the Norwegian countryside. Norway has a much greater sense of mystery than France, given its spread out population and vast, untouched nature. I'm not a spiritual type of person, but traveling along the coast of Norway is almost like a religious experience, as if I have some kind of mystical, ancestral connection to nature and Norwegian culture.

Adrian Russell
I totally understood but this is utter bullshit.
Aaron King
I get what you're saying. But what I meant was
>everyone knows whats happening everywhere >everyone knows the world pretty well >with a bit of money you can be on the other side of the globe within a day, transported in a highly civilized aerial vehicle with full service
This is what I implied. But you're right in a way, I want things to be worse. I don't want all this technology, the only good thing about it is healthcare, that's it. I don't want my phone, my PC, my social media accounts, I just have them because in this day and age you need them.
Carter Gomez
> I just want to be a simple man doing simple stuff.
literally everybody feels like this. It's human nature. You want a wife, children, and your only responsibilities are providing shelter, food & protection. It's how we lived up until a couple hundred years ago.
Consumerism is what destroyed everything.
Henry Bell
You're countryside is a barren desert, mate. Deserts are only for niggers.
Benjamin Jones
How?
The only negative thing (to me, that is) about the 18th century was healthcare. Everything else, I want. I'm simply theorizing. It's not like I believe my wish will ever come through, although with good luck there'll be a near life-like simulation from it when I'm 80 or something.
Austin Martin
>France >Norway Fuck that. We Britbongs have beautiful countryside too and we actually speak English.

Not just that, but its not European. NZ countryside is stunning, but I still don't have any desire to go there.
Nicholas Mitchell
At least I took these pictures myself, and haven't resorted to stock photos.
John Baker
>implying you like to get rained on the face every fucking day
Tyler Davis
>not enjoying a daily nature bukkake faggot
Nathan Evans
You can find pretty much every landmark from Skyrim and Witcher 3 here.

That's not a good thing. Skyrim butchered the norse nature.
