I've just been having a bit of a crisis for a while in terms of religion. I was an atheist shortly then agnostic. Now I've come back to being a theist again, I really feel a spiritually change , sorry if that sounds retarded. I don't really know how I stand with the church though. I looked into some celtic paganism but I don't know if it would really suit.
I want to get back into Christianity (Catholicism in my case) but I have some problems. How do I decide on topics such as killing Jesus is quoted as being in favour of peace but also war. I like altruism and the humanitarian aspect of the church but I don't want to accept homosexuality or take in loads of refugees who won't follow Christ and will likely lead to our demise. Would this stop me from getting back into Christianity. Religion is great for our society and we've become worse as we become more secularized, I just don't know if my nationalist beliefs would go outside the tenants of Christianity.
