>WikiLeaks states that it has never released a misattributed document. Documents are assessed before release. In response to concerns about the possibility of misleading or fraudulent leaks, WikiLeaks has stated that misleading leaks "are already well-placed in the mainstream media. [Wikileaks] is of no additional assistance."
Friendly reminder of bizarre tweets that occurred after the internet blackout.
Brayden Green
Remember when they gave the video proving Assange was alive? They never did. Why not? Seems simple enough.
Connor Robinson
due that data is alredy public you faggot...
Elijah Morgan
Only a fucking idiot would leak there anymore. I mean really...
Josiah Nguyen
How about all of the times he's come to the window since then. Oh right he never has. It didn't seem too difficult before.
Blake Fisher
I'm sure the media won't blame them if this is proven fake.
Ayden Fisher
JUST GO TO THE WINDOW
Liam Brooks
This sure seems to fit the narrative that Wikileaks is owned by muh Russia. Why make such a dumb statement?
Brayden Jackson
exactly! why the fuck won't he do it?
Nicholas Powell
Because he is no longer behind any windows.
Dominic Cook
I haven't been on board with the idea that Assange has been killed or compromised until recently. This shit stinks too much. Looking back at everything since they shut his internet off shows how out of character all of this is. There were so many questions they swept under the rug and then put out a fake photo to prove it's all cool still. I'm not buying it anymore.
Let's not forget these. These happened just as Assange's internet was shut off. I can't recall any explanation ever given for them.
Joseph Edwards
Macronleaks ins't initiated/published/leaked by Wikileaks you moron(s). Wikileaks also found the links to it like everyone else and just spreads it further, also discussing and analyzing it.
Kayden Clark
bro, can you even read?? Also that line of code was probably copy pasted from a russian stack exhange
Please explain how this fits the "muh wikileaks is russia" narrative, I don't think you actually can.
Gavin White
You're right. It will be so hard to ruin their credibility when their twitter is pasted in Macron leaks. No one will think they were pushing it.
Dominic Phillips
i think what op is getting at is that it's meant to look fake and therefore ruin wikileak's reputation.
Logan Scott
these were an automated response to his internet being shut down. They basically published the md5 hashes of the files they have so when/if they release them, they can be verified as the files previously mentioned.
Alexander Gutierrez
Generally yes. All of this is out of character with Wikileaks before Oct. 16, 2016.
Henry Edwards
can you dumb this shit down for me. what does that mean? what are those files?
Jason Gomez
bump
Jace Perez
They haven't published anything.
And they have been critical of the leaks since receiving them. The media already claims they are a russian propaganda piece. This changes nothing for people who already accept wikileaks as a valid source.
Jeremiah Gonzalez
those are not files, they are checksums of files. You can create a 'fingerprint' of a file or an archive of files, so people can check and make sure they were not altered before their receipt.
Henry Williams
>False flag, incompetence, intentional Russian signaling, or happenstance.
Pic related.
Nolan Howard
It's a matter of slowly devaluing their credibility until they aren't taken seriously by the public anymore. What good is the dead man's drop if most people think it's fake?
Charles Walker
attribution is a bitch when everyone knows how the game is played
Ayden Peterson
If you want wikileaks to read through decades worth of documents in a day or two, how about donating a few shekels you cheap fuck.
Eli Moore
>we know the source is real but are still looking through its contents
are you retarded? why do I have to spell this out for you?
Jeremiah Perez
I don't see how it matters when every time they do publish something it turns out to be true. People can deny facts all day. Hell you've seen it happen on Sup Forums too. They are still facts.
Lucas Johnson
close, they aren't MD5, they're SHA2
Justin Ortiz
These emails weren't released by wikileaks.
Jaxon Morales
Of course they're "still assessing" them you retard. It's 9 GIGABYTES of emails, in French, with all kinds of references an outsider wouldn't understand without research and cross-referencing. The Podesta email archives were only 2.8 GB in total (file.wikileaks.org/file/podesta-emails/) and took many months for both WL and the entire internet to analyse.
Aaron Hill
I would have thought they assess it's validity before releasing, then assess the actual content afterwards.
Julian Garcia
sorry, im working from memory here but i should have been able to tell from looking at them and from the md5 vulnerabilities
Samuel Gomez
Wikileaks lost control when assange's power went out last year. Most of them are probably dead
Nicholas Mitchell
This
Oliver Martin
i think in the past they combed through them and edited out info that might lead to someone being hurt while checking the validity
Jack Sanders
It was leaked by Sup Forums not by wikileaks. They're assessing the validity of the leaks because they aren't the original distributor.
Samuel Brown
Assange probably has a deal with the russians of some sort.
Luis Allen
they're rehosting publicly available data, not publishing shit
it's sad that you think we're this stupid because it's always projection
Kayden Cox
Any sightings of Pamela Anderson? Since he's banging her.
Aiden Kelly
I remember one was a proof of life picture when a guy sent a package with a camera in it to the embassy. But it turned out to be a photoshop from three years before.
