Most "normies" will say that healthcare is a right. This is more or less the appropriate response to that.
The other common argument is that healthcare cannot be handled by free markets: it is too complex and requires a relatively large degree of central planning. There are a few questions you could ask a person who believes this, but I would just give them an intuitively correct argument, and then show how that argument is analogous to one that indicates healthcare should be left to a free-market. This type of persuasion requires little knowledge of our healthcare system of problems with socialized medicine. It would look something like this:

It's just that most people who support socialized medicine don't do so for strictly economic reasons; in other words, they wouldn't give you well-reasoned economic arguments to support their position because they don't have any. These two simple counter-arguments cover the two most common reasons.

There are plenty of theoretical scenarios we could concoct in which we would prefer to have a monopoly over a bunch of firms competing with one another (theory of second best). But I agree with something Milton Friedman said, which is that you never persuade a man with an argument, you just give him ideas with which he may later persuade himself. Something like that.
