Ask Me Anything

I have spent enough time in Turkey to answer much of the possible questions. Ask me anything.

bump!

*fistbumps*

Do you think Turks should be genocided so at least part of Anatolia can return to the Greeks?

how likely is a turkish civil war in the near future?

why do turks look arabs and not mongols?

Not really. I have met with some amazing people during my time of stay. However, I mostly spent my time on the western side of the country, which is much more western and secular. The more you go to east, the more you start to see people who support an Islamic government and therefore Erdogan.
Overall, the eastern part can go, no problem with that. However, the west has more people like us, enough that I would consider a genocide in western Turkey bad overall.

Not 100%, but more likely than many people think. The Islamic government is holding a monopoly on media, and secular protesters are getting imprisoned left and right. There are many people who are true to the secular movement created by Ataturk, and with the latest rumors of the recent referendum being rigged in favor of Erdogan, things are getting pretty tense down there.
Majority of the secular people I have met claimed that a civil war might be the best option for them, due to the harsh reactions from the government towards them. They claim that they have nothing to lose.

Ottoman Empire fought with mongols, and welcomed arabs into the empire. Due to the rules at the time, it was forbidden for a muslim to partner with a non-muslim, so arab-turkish intercourse was quite popular. There are a surprising amount of white people too, especially in Istanbul and Izmir. The white population in Turkey tends to be pretty conservative when it comes to breeding too, they don't want to lose their whiteness.

But I thought they're really proud of their mongol heritage, while looking like arabs. I found that always kinda weird. Since I've actually met some turks here that said "we're brother nations"
Turan etc. :DD

How are the kurds viewed?
