It depends where you want to live. I've lived in Idaho, visited plenty of the woods, been all over Washington, Oregon. I can't' speak to Wyoming or Montana, but friends tell me they're close.
You can get a job in any forest/coal/electricity industry if you've got the skills.
If your someone who can do your job remotely, its even more ideal; Multiple friends and family do this (I would, but the nature of my job prevents it)
the citys are more liberal then anything you'll find anywhere else, but thats okay. they're mostly white, wealthy, and fairly well planned. that being said, don't go down martin luther king blvd (but this applies to any city in the US)
the country side is gorgeous. I guarantee, you've never seen such a wide range of landscapes, and such a free country. You can go to the woods, and find endless nothing like nowhere else in the world. Just trees, mountain lions, and the occasional freshwater lake.
Its truly comfy, in the wetter side of the mountains.
In Idaho, its far more dry, and far more conservative. Lived in Boise for a number of years, votes red every year, has a huge basque population (don't ask why, I don't know either) and is generally pretty chill. Great biking, and some decent water related shit.
a soldi 8/10 minimum, unless for some reason you're a cuck who likes big cities and lots of people.
