Especially twin studies showed these, where one twin growing up in a poor household (adopted while family has own kid) and the other twing growing up in a rich household (has everything he needs).

The amount of muscle to be gained by excercise is genetic (i.e. hormones etc). Similar to the amount of knowledge consumed in a certain time frame, which is intelligence (more like intellectual potential).
Hence getting stronger is like getting smarter while the capability/speed to become stronger (and also what you genetic limit is in terms of strength training) is like the speed of you gaining knowledge and gain comprehension, which is intelligence.
