Humanistic is crap, because of overpolitication of the universities. You have leading political figures as professors sometimes, and brawls due to political differences are common. Once in a while news come that exams were interrupted by politic campaign and a big fight erupted.
STEM is relatively good. I personally study in a public technical university. There are no forced humanistic programs for credits, and the STEM part is good all things considered. It is also full of foreign student from neighbouring countries.
